The Mirror Mysteries: Forgotten Kingdoms
Mirror Mysteries: Forgotten Kingdoms
Too slow moving & too short. First version much better.

Kind of ok but...
My review is based on the demo...The story is a sequel to "Mirror Mysteries" which is an oldie but has a decent storyline. Three levels of difficulty, Casual, Advanced, Custom.
Now, normally I'm a total sucker for F.R.O.Gs & buy them straight away but, remembering the original, I played the Demo first &, boy, was I glad I did. The graphics were appalling...at first I thought my eyesight had deteriorated overnight! After playing it for 5 minutes, I realised that it had nothing to do with it but I carried on playing, just in case it improved...it didn't & I felt that I couldn't care less where Tommy was!. After the Demo finished, I ended up with a massive headache & eyestrain so I think it's safe to say, I will not be buying this one, nor will I waste a credit on it. My advice is to those who don't have the best eyesight, do NOT play or buy this game!

I have the first Mirror Mysteries and I liked it when it came out. That was a long time ago. These developers have not expanded on their ideas, therefore this game feels out-dated. There are a lot of find-the-pieces games out there that are done much better. I didn't hate it by any means, and will probably use a coupon for it, but it should have been updated to keep up with the competition.

Like my title says 'It had potential'......the music is MAJORLY annoying, each scene takes an age to load, I did like the HO scenes, they made you complete one item before using it and then going on to find the next and so on!
The main reason I am not buying this game is because of the time each scene takes to load!

I just finished the hour on this game, & I swear if it wasn't one of the strangest. The music was awful, really repitious; mind you, that can be turned down. I don't really like the hidden object part but it does make you think. The graphics were very well drawn & the hint button was informing. I don't know that I would buy it, but a lot of people probably will.

it was ok
I was disappointed by the formulaic structure. It was divided into major goals and each goal was the same formula
Story line, clickaround find tools do a hidden object scene to get the brain teaser puzzle. rinse and repeat. Some of the brain teasers would have been good except for such poor instructions, I had no idea how to work it or what I was trying to acheive. It was a fun way to waste time but it wasn't the reading a great novel feel I got from syberia.

Good game, but VERY short.
I would have given this 4 stars, but for the length of the game. I like the style of play, with gathering pieces of needed items, rather than just random items from a junkpile. But I finished the game, and said, "That's it?" It's very short, so I would only recommend buying it as a daily deal or with a discount coupon.

Easy relaxing game suitable for preteens to adult
I enjoy games like this one! I really like to be able to play a game where I am able to simply follow areas and find the item parts shown. I easily finished this game but did enjoy it the whole time, I either tire or get stuck in some games and found this game a nice easy search object game. I wouldn't spend much on this game but if found on real good sale a nice buy. Game suitable for the whole family so this one happily my 10 yr old granddaughter will enjoy as its an "adult" looking game and not one of the silly childish ones usually offered for children! More games like this should be offered in family.

The game got my attention with its visual effect as soon as i started to play but unfortunately the game is not satisfactory overall. The puzzles are way too easy, no challange at all and the game is really short. I finished it all in less than 2 hours.

odd but different
This was an okay game. A FROG with three different worlds to access through an evil mirror. An assortment of mini games.. matching things, moving chess pieces and weighing birds to name a few. Each world was different. Started off with a steampunk world that had some funny "information booths" and lots of clocks and trains. Then moved to a water garden one. This one had a multicolored hummingbird wearing a tiara that was voiced by a guy. Didn't seem to fit at alll and the third was oriental with a talking elk?? Very odd. I found this game entertaining but not overly gripping. You spend a lot of time in interactive FROG scenes and collecting mirror fragments. But that was enough for me. I liked it. It won't go down as an epic adventure but it was different enough to not feel like you've played it many times before. I did though have to turn off the awful carnival music that played throughout.
