If music be the food of love, play on! This was a very unusual game with a Shakespearean twist. The graphics are stunning. There is a good balance between HOS and puzzles. There are tabs for map, task log and strategy guide which are all very helpful. The storyline is *insert crazy noise here* OUT THERE, but I give it an A+ for originality. The evil puppet must have had a previous gig playing Tickle Me Emo in the Mad T.V. skit because I've heard that voice before. :P January 20, 2013
Demo review I thoroughly enjoyed this game. It was different and since I love going to the library, this was a great acknowledgement of that institution. The hos were fun and different and on casual (which) I normally do first, they give you the hints that something needs to go somewhere. I checked out the strategy guide when I had to solve the puzzle of the puppet master and puppet. It was informative, and seemed well done. I liked the entrances into the book, some usage between "time periods". Missed having achievements, but the interactive map was well done and very useful. All in all this was a great game and will be getting it as soon as I can. January 21, 2013
Nice, but not exceptional! Elephant is one of my favorite devs, but I have been very disappointed in the last couple of games they put out. This one is up to their usual excellent graphics and game play. Nice SG and hint system. Simple games. HOGs nice, but need a bit of a change up and not straight "place it here." A different story line for a change and I like the voice overs, although not much talking. This game did not have anything exceptional...no morphing objects, or anything extra or unusual to find to help within the game. Very disappointing on that level, because there isn't much challenge. I got through the "one hour" demo with 23 minutes to spare. I was heading to the next "help me" when it ended, so that means I have 3 more chapters and a bonus chapter left. If the other chapters take the same amount of time to complete, this will be a short game (anything under 3 hours is very short). This game did not hook me in from the beginning, but it was enjoyable. I don't feel it is CE worthy because of the length, but I will wait until the SE comes out and add it to my Elephant collection. As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for it at all. Thanks for the reviews. January 20, 2013
A fun and different Hidden object/ adventure game. I like Elephant games CEs for several reasons: they always have a map that lets you jump from place to place the game is always a good length as is the bonus game the stories are imaginative and well done you can turn off voices and music they have a hard mode which is mostly free of leading and hints. This only gets 4 stars however, because: it wasn't as creepy as it could have been. The villain and sidekick look creepy but aren't developed and don't play much of a role, it could have been any character. Am I really supposed to be scared of a man with bad teeth and a hand puppet? I don't really like "replace the object in the scene" HOS. Many times it is just finding a like object and placing it next to it. borrrrrinnnng. these devs take the same minigames and use them over and over in different games. The plot line of Romeo and Juliet flowed nicely, but including Hamlet and Dorian Gray got a little weird for me. It is much better than most HOPA CES out there, so I will recommend it. A FUN AND INTRIGUING GAME I just completed this game, including the bonus content. I thought it was a cleaver endeaver, with a different twist, because you start out with Romeo and Juliette, and end up with Dorian Grey, although the same players/characters are in both. The graphics are very good, as well as the voice overs. It's a nice long game with a nice lengthy bonus game. The hint system was so good, I barely used the strategy guide. I liked the hidden object twist. You put things back where they belong as opposed to finding items. The only complaint I have is that there was a tremendous amount of back and forth in this game. That is the only reason that I gave it 4 stars. The mini games were challenging but not overly difficult. All in all I recommend this game. January 24, 2013
Hint Button Great game. I would have rated it a 5 but for the hint button. It tells you exactly what to do which I absolutely hate! A hint button should be directional only. Also, the jump to map didn't always show active areas and it was confusing. Both these factors took away from the game and was irritating. February 24, 2013
Definite buy - extras are lean - wait for SE Developer doesn't disappoint - good quality graphics, story, voices, but IMHO not CE worthy without achievements/morphing objects/extra objects to find. January 20, 2013
excellent good graphic and excellent story, i will make mind if i purchase it February 12, 2013
just like it errr...I dont know why but this one, it's a bit boring to me. when I played this game, I don't feel fun at all. of course I never doubt about the quality Elephant bring to us. anyway thank you Elephant.. October 4, 2013
Great game to play The graphics were pretty good - not a lot of voiceovers or cut scenes in the F/T. The hints were very helpful, even in the CE, I found myself checking the SG only for confirmation of an act and often found myself ahead of the game. The HOGs were not overly difficult nor were the mini-games. There was, however, a lot of back and forth - a lot. The game is enjoyable and not on the edge of your seat stressful so I would recommend for beginners and intermediates for the fun factor. This glam-ma says go for it. May 25, 2013
