Great HOPA ! Highly recommended.
Help to stop the Organ Grinder. He does not read the "luck" in cards, but the misfortune ... and that happens soon!
An excellent HOPA: you'll explore sinister locations, with medusas, dragons, etc..
Very good graphics, music according to the atmosphere, strange characters and plenty to do.
Interactive HOS, always according to the theme. Not challenging.
Several mini games, also not very challenging.
It has a map with objectives and tasks.
You have to collect 10 losts pets, cursed cards and bestiaries - like Terence, a baby dragon that helps you with fire.
The game is worth more for the adventure than the puzzles.
Seven chapters plus bonus chapter.
Bonus mini games.
3 play modes.
A game that provides plenty of fun moments.

Once Upon A Midnight Weary......
The first thing that really excited me about this game was the opening scene; a horrific looking organ grinder recites the first verse of Poe's The Raven. A very nice touch to a game that comes from one of my favorite developers. Unfortuantely the excitement really ends there and soon I found Tune of Revenge to be yet another standard HOPA with some merits to it. The story begins in the town of Graysand where we take on the role as Detective who has been hired to investigate a tragic incident that had occured thirteen years ago. Upon arrival, we discover that the Mayor was suddenly attacked and set on fire by a blazing phoenix. The culprit responsible is an organ grinder who is selling fortune cards that seal one's fate with death by a supernatural creature. His motive is revenge and it is up to us to solve the mystery and stop the attacks.
After having chosen Advance game mode from the main menu, I was delighted to see that there were absolutely no sparkels anywhere. You can also change your game mode during the game. The graphics are well done, the usual hand drawn scenes and very good art-work. I loved the voice-overs, very well done and well acted out which is refreshing. The music blares out a bit and sounds very familiar. Game features a map which does allow you to travel, unfortuantely there is no journal or diary. You have collectables which include retrieving thirteen cursed cards, finding 10 lost pets and entrapping 9 supernatural creatures. Unfortuantely there are no achievements or trophies and/or morphing objects.
Gameplay is standard HOPA with slightly interactive HO scenes that are junked piled. Mini-games are familiar and not very challenging. There are puzzles to solve and inventory items to collect as you play on. The hint system was extremely helpful, telling you exactively what to do next.
Overall, the game is nice to look at, the organ music does get on your nerve after a while and game play is relatively smooth but not very challenging. I found that the story did draw me in at the beginning but my interest did slowly dwindle as I moved on to the next chapter. It just all seems so familiar, pick up item, use item, play HO scene, solve a mini-game and move on. HOPA games like these are a dime a dozen, same game mechanics, different scenery and it does beg the question, is it worth the CE price? In my honest opinion, I would rather wait for the SE version and do without finding out the organ grinder's fate. In my case, the game is just too familiar and lacks that certain WOW factor. I would prefer a more challenging gaming experience with more game features than just a few collectables. I liked it but just did not love it, despite having one of my favorite poems being recited at the very beginning.

CLASS ALL ITS OWN! Adventure, Puzzles, iHOS balanced
BASED ON COMPLETED GAME IN HARD CORE (The 3rd of 3 modes) No sparkles, but black bar hints.
On the few occasions that a truly excellent, instant classic game comes along that manages to be fresh, fun, and thrilling start to finish it's unfortunate there isn't a standalone, special rating as this game deserves.
This is now my official, all-time, biggie favorite for originality in storyline, beautiful graphics, creative and fun iHOS and mini-Games, and all with a nice dose of adventure tossed in.
Our bad-guy is right on point with his gruff cockney accent and evil laugh. There are plenty of very cool characters including a Medusa, Dragon, Murderous Book - Yes, book. These characters are all lushly and deliciously brought to life.
The town in which the story takes place gives ample opportunity to explore and doesn't waste our time with pass-through, or "use once" scenes.
The quality of iHOS and mini-puzzles stayed top notch, even to the last when the fortune cards collected are assembled for one last game. By the way - Rhymes on the fortune cards were pretty cool, playing a part in the mystery, and adding to game play.
The are collectibles- 10 magical creatures. I didn't remember to look for them until midway through so didn't find them all. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to suck it up and play it again... :)
I highly recommend this game for people who like mystery, mythical creatures, romance, and a variety of type of game play.
GAME CONSTRUCT:
OBJECT: Find and try to save the lives of 13 poor slobs who bought fortune cards at a street fair. Also, cCollect 10 Magical Animals along the way.
COMPANIONS=Yes. One. We are given a little fiery bird early on that flies into hot places to retrieve objects and who will light torches and fuses. I would have been ok with a box of matches, but he was admittedly much cuter and more handy.....
MAP=Yes, Allows jumping to locations (love that!), although even in hard core mode it shows locations where actions are available, those that are done, and those that will have action again. I'd rather just see where to jump as the extra info feels like hints and takes away from adventure aspects.
JOURNAL=NO. Not Needed.
STRATEGY GUIDE= Yes. Good. In particular good help with a couple of puzzles. Wish it tracked with game - that is a nice feature.
HINTS=Didn't use, so don't know.
BLACK BAR HINTS=Plentiful even in hard core mode. I wish there were an option to turn these off as they detract from adventure and the only one allowed to hold my hand is my husband! :)
iHOS=There was a good balance, not too many, none revisited, no junk pile, & all beautiful in detail. Yay! Minor interaction - add a handle to a pair of glasses, put pills in a jar, open a shell to find a pearl...
MINI-GAMES=Plentiful, very fun, in perfect theme with game, and most are easy. The strategy guide kept me from pulling my hair out on a couple that gave me trouble.
MUSIC/VO=ALL excellent. Music non-intrusive, in perfect sync. with events. VOs, especially our villain were great.
COLLECTIBLES=Yes. There were 10 magical creatures, but you have to watch for them as they "appear" in a scene at some point - not always the first time through.
AWARDS=I didn't find any. Ok by me.
In My Humble Opinion, Good games like this one stand on their own. Collectibles and awards are gimmicks and serve more to distract than add to game play. No offense intended as I know many people LOVE these features.
Thanks so much for the excellent work Elephant Games and more like this please.

Made my day!!!!! :)
Elephant Games blessed us with another great game!! Beautiful artwork, as expected from these devs, fantastic, fearsome creatures, thrilling story: Find out why a mysterious organ grinder is taking revenge on some towns people through selling death bringing cursed cards...
7 chapters plus bonus-chapter. 3 modes to choose from. Very useful hints outside the HOS, refills quite fast. A map with tasklist, allows you to "jump".
You'll find interesting (not too challenging) minigames. And for those who love HOS: there are lots of... And - although very cluttered - items are easy to find!
Beyond objects? Yes: There are 10 lost pets to find. And we collect those (13) cursed cards from the victims.
And one reason why I love these devs: Those interesting "helping hands" they often create in their games. This time we have "Terrance" a baby-phoenix, along with our inventory!
A lot to do/ -find out/ -explore!! This game's great fun!!!

Short CE - bonus review at bottom
REVIEW (as usual) ON FINISHED GAME
I rate CEs and SEs so differently as the CE is double the price so I am not recommending this CE version of the game on length alone. If it was even 45mins longer I would. There are other considerations as well why this game isn?t working for me and for a CE although I had fun in parts.
PLOT
It?s a junkpile plot ? lot of things going on but never quite working in harmony with each other. The plot is a bit like detective quest ? creatures are cursed and you have to uncurse each creature. There is a background story of girl wanting to rescue her father. I know I have an attention span of a gnat in games and like a lot going on but not in stories as you are never then fully invested in any of them if there are so many stories and widely varied creatures. I honestly thought this game felt more like an ERS game, in plot and in easiness of puzzles and the feel of the game.
I did manage to play through the gigantic snake (which wasn?t in much of it thankfully). I realise this is one of the cotton candy fluff plots (no depth or substance to it) but it was all over the place.
GRAPHICS
I know when it?s not elephant?s A game as there are inconsistencies. I know a lot of people work on games but some scenes look hand drawn and not that sharp and others look like ?elephant? trademark. The HOS also were so varied in type and look but no consistency in graphics. Some ultra sharp and clear others not but at least you can make out what each item is.
12 list HOS
Always the same with elephant (thankfully) ? no random click penalty, never repeat, no sparkles on HOS scenes in either advanced or hardcore. Here it?s all list type, some more interactive than others, mostly junk pile. They have done far better HOS in other games, in graphics and look. No tiny items or well blended in.
12 puzzle
I know most devs give ultra simple puzzles in the beginning and here it?s no exception with a literal 3 click and turn rings ? it?s not even a rotating ring puzzle! I can?t even say varied hardness as there wasn?t a hard puzzle in them and at the most, for a HOPA only about 3 could be classed about medium hardness. If puzzles are unique enough or fun enough, I don?t care how hard or easy it is but if it?s one we have seen before then to make it interesting it has to be at least medium hardness ? a puzzle I can sit down with and take more than 1-2 minutes to do.
The easiness is more pronounced as gameplay wasn?t hard, or that unique (mostly but it did have moments) and as usual they have black bar tips on hardcore. I have grown accustomed to it and don?t look at top of screen but it?s the map tips that are very obvious. I?m now fed up with saying I?d love if map tips could be turned on and off like another DEV, as if I?m in a lazy mood I?m sure I?d want them a couple of times. I do try not to use the transporter map but as I hate backtracking like poison, which this game had a lot of, especially near the end I used the map (BTW there is a lot more active locations than the map shows).
Since royal detective I have found elephant is making most of their games all round way easier and shorter as well so their oldest customers who liked them as they were one of the harder DEVS around, I feel they don?t care about us anymore and just cater to the new people who are discovering them or only play their recent games. I keep expecting their next game to bring us back again but this isn?t it.
EXTRAS
10 morphs (lost pets) not many and very obvious even sparkles on hardcore (seriously I?m not joking ? they are so big to begin with I couldn?t believe the ?sparkles?.) 8 are in main game and 2 in bonus.
Lost pets is just a screenshot of the 10 morphs you get in the game (2 in bonus) it?s a bit more interesting than a medal in the achievements room but that?s all the area is, completely non interactive.
Cursed cards - I don?t understand as it?s just cards that you have to pick up in gameplay ? very obvious not collectables.
Bestiary is 9 jigsaw puzzles of the main baddies in the game (at least that had different shapes and is a bit different but with bad collectables, it?s the only real extra in the game which isn?t enough for me.)
Extra minigame you make limited music in a barrel organ ? you get 3 discs which are 3 different sounding melodys on (one melody a disc) and 2 barrels which change the tone of it. Bit different but not as good as it sounds.
4 music, wallpaper, concept art,
BONUS play
3 hos
4 really simple puzzle
2 morphs are in bonus
The plot ending is 100% tied up in main game. The bonus plot they literally took the last scene in the main game and decided to suddenly change it and you help that character throughout the bonus. You didn?t need it at all, and I thought the ending in the SE was better so you didn?t need the added plot (or was that interesting) but it ended up the same ending anyway in the CE. About 2 scenes were brand new but quite a few scenes were changed so much to be nearly new and actually a couple of beautiful ones in it. It was about same quality as main game but it was just on the hour. One of their poorer bonus games I thought.
The main game took me 3hrs and 30 mins. I don?t give 5 stars out to CEs that main game is 4hrs and have been voicing my concern with this DEV for shortening some of their games recently but this is going into other DEVS shortness and again I have to say something or they think this is acceptable which it?s not. For a SE I?d be mentioning shortness in a game but a CE sorry think it?s dreadful.
They used to do such long and quality and harder games so I know they can do it on the budget.

Who Is That Mysterious Masked Man??
We are taken back in time to the village of Graysand to solve a mysterious death from thirteen years ago. When the detective arrives in town, you find another mystery waiting to be solved.
In this game we have the excellent, quality graphics that are always provided by this developer. I must say that I restarted the game three times just to hear the organ grinder sing the Edgar Allen Poe poem. Awesome!
The game itself is the fairly standard type HOPA game that I love but what makes it outstanding IMHO are the graphics, voices, gameplay, puzzles and storyline.
If you want a good mystery to solve, then this is the game for you. Because I love the work of this developer, I purchased the game right away and I am not disappointed.
Maybe you too, will love this game and enjoy solving the mystery of the masked organ grinder.

Much fun, beautifully done.
I really enjoyed this game. Elephant games did it again in providing us with a great game. Very well drawn, the plot moves right along and the games are fun. Not too easy, not too difficult. The hint button will help you if needed. You have "little helpers" or companions if you need. There are extra things to collect along the way but you don't need to if you don't want too. I think anyone that loves and plays Hidden Object games will love this one. Enjoy!!

Love this HOPA! Elephant does it again!
Captivating! The suspense begins with the opening cutscene. A masked organ grinder issues a warning, the clock strikes 12, a flaming Phoenix rises, and the adventure begins! I played 17 minutes of the demo and bought the game immediately. Can't comment on the depth of storyline, as I am not yet finished, but it starts off with a bang!
The gameplay is similar to other Elephant games, so you will know what to expect if you are a fan of this developer. The graphics are clear and colourful. A good combination of adventure, interactive HOS and familiar puzzles, but not overly challenging. The hint recharges quickly and can be used in HOS as well as during gameplay. There is a transporter map with tasks listed for each location. One added feature of the map that I just I love is the inclusion of a picture along with the location name. This is extremely helpful when there is a large area to cover. With three modes of play, the degree of assistance available is the player's choice.
Cutscenes and voice overs are well done and enhance the mood. The music is appropriate to moment. You collect "cursed" cards along the way, the meaning of which is revealed only as each is discovered. There is also one very special task ? finding lost pets. As an animal lover, this made the game irresistible for me. Finally, when you crack open an egg to assist a little creature to hatch, your new buddy and helper enters the story. His name is Terrance.
There is darkness and there are strange creatures, but there is also humour. An enjoyable game! Check it out and see for yourself!

One glance - one click - one purchase
Evaluation after playing the demo version - great game as far as I can say now, just played a few minutes and felt right in the middle of the story, curious about what will happen and what will to be done next.
Clear graphics and a sound which is not as soul-destroying like some other game music.
Hint button refills fast, the map on the right side allows to jump later on in the game (great!).
Nice cut scenes, can not say a lot about the HOS I found so far, the objects are clear and easy to find.
Happy gaming to all fishies! I am now off to play this game.
