Enchantia: Wrath of the Phoenix Queen Collector's Edition 4.2 5 125 125
Wow ! A game to buy immediately! Help to stop the wrath of the Phoenix Queen. Do not let her find the artifact and put fire to destroy Enchantia! Amazing graphics, intricately detailed, colorful and whimsical. Excellent music, VO and sounds very good. Amazing characters. Excellent story and cutscenes. Lots of gorgeous locations to explore. HOS are challenging. You have to find parts of objects in a scene very elaborate. Some mini games are known, but with a good level of difficulty. 20 morphing objets to collect. 3 play modes. Interactive map. Eleven chapters. - Plus three more chapters in bonus game. Bonus puzzles. You can see cutscenes and hear the songs again. Excellent HOPA! Hit right on target ! February 14, 2013
Enchanting!!!!!!! :) Oh, how I love these devs!! Again this game has this typical Blue Tea Games ?handwriting?. Wonderful settings/ locations, even the evil Phoenix Queen is beautiful!! Bought this without hesitation. 12 different areas. Each area with 4 - 6 locations. We have a mystical compass, which has the power to transport us to the different areas. 3 modes to choose from. 12 chapters plus 4 bonus-chapters. Objective list next to the inventory. No journal (didn?t miss one though) Next to the inventory, we have an objective list. Hint shows you the direction where to go to, in case you?re stuck. 20 enchanted (morphing) objects to find. Lots of very well designed minigames, some new, not too challenging. And what I love most: Those typical Blue Tea Games HOS, where you search for fragments of 1 object. After finding all the required fragments, you?ll add this item to your inventory. Bonus-content includes replayable minigames, soundtrack, wallpapers, concept-art, movie-gallery and a detailed character profile list. It is a very large file game: 1,2 GB! Looooong download? But when it?s finally done - expect a lot of fun!! lol There is only one thing I didn?t like: When characters talk, there is also a comic-style balloon shown? :( But nevertheless, I love this game!! High recommended!! (By the way, please excuse my ?queer? accent/ grammar some time? ;)) February 14, 2013
Enchantia is a Masterpiece! Enchantia is an art masterpiece!! Gosh, I have been waiting for Enchantia and purchased it outright without the demo, and true to form this game developer has never presented a game that IMO was a disappointment. Enchantia is just a feast for the senses. It goes without saying that the graphics in this game are beautiful. The voice-overs are excellent and I really like the story. I don't find the cut scenes cumbersome or to be too many, in fact they lay the story out perfectly. Along with the excellent graphics, we have interesting puzzles. I had a bit of difficulty with the first one but soon caught on to the sequence of switching. It's nice to have puzzles in a game that require some thought to solve. I am not a huge fan of FROGS in general but I do enjoy the ones from this developer, mainly because of the beautiful artwork they incorporate into these scenes. Another plus is that we get to find "enchanted" objects throughout our journey. Love the map! IMHO, this game is the same quality and caliber as the Red Riding Hood Sisters that came from this developer late in 2012. Enchantia looks to be just as wonderful and may even surpass that effort. If I could give this game ten stars I would, and each one would be very well-deserved. Thanks BFG and developer for a very beautiful and challenging game. February 14, 2013
REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME When the first game play scene opened up the graphics looked too busy and slightly out of focus. I love bold vibrant colours, the more the merrier. But something looked off. I do think the graphics are beautiful, yet somehow they jarred. The music is superb in this game. The mechanics are flawless and the game just flows perfectly. The voice overs are excellent. Likewise the cut scenes and the dialogue is quick and clickable. There is a perfectly adequate SG, but the game is extremely easy. There is no level of challenge at all in the puzzles. Hint is directional and there is a jump map for more localised activity. This is a Fairy Tale which is well written and well told. However, usually in these stories the protagonist has the task of saving and rescuing. Not so here. Yes, I got to save and rescue. Three times. And then...... they all died! I also had to cause a herd of beautiful horses to sicken and die. This is not pleasing, not fun, and a real downer. My intellect tells me this is silly, it is just a game, but that did not stop my heart from reacting. Overly sensitive? Maybe. I still found it cruel and sad. I do not mind FROGS, but with this game they became a dreaded chore. There are way, way too many and they follow hot on the heels of each other, without respite. The majority of the fragments are findable, but there are always in every one, pieces no one will ever find without the hint button. Even when pointed out, some do not resemble their pictures. The main game only took me 3.30 hrs, but the BC is 1.30 hrs so you do get a 5 hr game for the CE price. The main game has a satisfactory ending, but I rather enjoyed the additional content of the BC and the furtherance of the story, as well as all the new locations. It is a nice game, but it did not enchant or inspire me as it should have and I am left with a sense that they tried too hard to instill it with adult content and got carried away. That spoiled it for me. These games for me are about enjoyment and fun and getting engrossed, not sorrow. February 15, 2013
Enchantia: Wrath of the Phoenix Queen (Not Completed) FINALLY A FROG! ! ! Feels like it's been forever since a well made one showed up. Smooth game play, love the cursor, no lagging, always have full screen. Have been playing 2 hours so far to see how it runs...For now, see ratings. Will post a review upon completion in the forum. First time posting here. I'm a sucker for F-R-O-Gs, great visuals/sound, a well done storyline, fairytales, fantasy, castles and when all these things are in one game, I can't ask for more....except more FROGS please. I had recently cancelled after being here for many years. It didn't take much to buy this game outright after viewing the video and the dev's reputation for the kinda games I like. Thank you BFG! ! ! This is why I joined BFG in the first place! See you in the review forums. February 14, 2013
What a disappoinment I have purchased all Dark Parables games from this developer and was really looking forward to this game. BUT ... ... the game play reminds me very much of the Dark Parables series, as the style of HOS is the same (collect items to create an item), even the sound when you collect something is the same, game play itself reminds of the Dark Parables ... and YET ... there is a difference, and this one I have really found disappointing ... ... the difference between this game and Dark Parables is the quality of the graphics - now here I was rather shocked to be honest ... the introduction movie was outstandingly well done ... and also some cut-scenes are of high quality. Hoewever, the HOS are so grainy and you are supposed to find tiny objects that all look similar ???? No way! Also during the game play I have found the overall look way too colourful and not crisp .. and if you have very colourful scenes, the graphics should really be sharp, otherwise your eyes hurt within a few minutes. The storyline I have found bizarre and actually confused me more than anything else. I'm sure there are quite a few people out there who will like this game, I just find it a big disappointment coming from a generally really good developper. February 14, 2013
What a "Hot" Game Blue Tea Games have done it again. The developers that have given you the Dark Parables games now rises from the ashes to give you the Phoenix Queen. You travel to the land of Enchantia to try to stop her and help the inhabitants. You meet great, colorful characters and find out about the Queen herself and discover secrets about your own background. The HO scenes are beautiful, the mini games are fun, and the graphics are breath taking. This is one hot game to have released on Valentine's Day! February 14, 2013
Sadly, no...... BASED ON COMPLETED GAME IN HARD CORE (3rd of 3 modes) no sparkles, no black bar hints, no hints. I can't believe that I don't like this game! Normally anything Green Tea Games does is golden. They often, as with this game use Fragmented Object which I like very much. So what's the deal? The first cut-scene was a wow! - Stunning. Dramatic. A real winner. Got the blood pumping. The last cut-scene is also good, not on the same par but still very good. In between was a bunch of really beautiful places with a lot of what felt to me like chores. For me this game was just not fun. UN-FUN. Of the good --- of course the graphics and artwork are detailed and gorgeous and as mentioned the game started strong. The characters and voice overs are well done as was the music when kept at low volume. There is also a compass and jump map. Yay! The rest just felt like a lot o' work.... STORY: It starts sort of being about finding songbird-chicks. Not the long legged ones walking around in mini-skirts with people writing songs about them, but these neon-colored songbird-chicks. To this thin layer more plot was piled with the introduction of a new character or world. --The Elves did this, the Dwarfs did that, the Centaurs were involved, and then the Sky-bird- well that's something altogether different you see. Well, I didn't see, but that's just the point. FROG/HOS: Part of the problem could have been the ever increasing number of FROG. Yikes! I mean yeah, the scenes were beautiful and at first I thoroughly enjoyed them, but a couple of times I noticed 3 in a row. The reward for schlepping from FROG to FROG? -A piece of statue, some random potion for later use, some medallion or amulet or figurine.....Plug that in somewhere a box or door opens or yawn... MINI-GAMES: What about mini-games? They were few and far between. Even though easy they were fun and cleverly put together. The ones I remember were plugging some figurine picked up elsewhere into the top of a box to get it to open. sigh. COLLECTIBLES: There were morphing objects, but no other collectibles or achievements were apparent. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this game. For the person who wants a strong storyline, a little adventure, some fun mini-puzzles,don't stop here.... February 22, 2013
ENCHANTIA I just finished the demo and really loved this game myself..the visuals were outstanding and the vo/s were great..the music fitted the game but as most you do get to a point when you either turn it down or turn it off..the level of challenge for an intermediate player as myself was perfect..I really like this type of mini-game too..to find the parts to what you need instead of looking through junk piles for one thing..the storyline was very good and loved how the phonix queen would pop-up when you least expect it and you don't know what she is going to throw at you...I really recommend this game for all players..being a CE game you do have the stragedy guide but I found I really did'nt need it..if I got stuck..the hint button was enough...and I also liked the quick and easy way to travel via the map..I know I don't write what I think very well..but I really highly recommend this game..have fun all February 14, 2013
Somewhere Way Over The Next Three Rainbows Storyline left me reeling in confusion as did the FROG scenes, however Blue Tea Games delivers a powerful light and color display for gamers along with intricate puzzles. With previous games under their belt such as Enlightenus, Fabled Legends, Macabre Mysteries, this gamer appreciates BTG Developers! Not a fan of fragmented hidden objects and prefer Adventure but I won't give a negative review due to my personal likes as I have read too many of those misplaced reviews. Seem to be on a rant lately that some of BFG's "new" releases look to be dated and this game is included in that lineup as well--to me, anyways. It's okay. Give us what you got, BFG and let we gamers be the judge. Only issue is that 2011-2012 gave us such awesome games, I anxiously anticipate the 2013 Game lineup. Seems BFG has a lot going on and may need a breather--or not be as picky-- with the download, streaming, online and mobile site expansions. Final word, please, BFG, MORE Adventure Games! There has to be some, there in your shop--maybe the back of a drawer. We Adventure Game players are definitely left out in the cold on this Site and there are many of us who love you, BFG, yet have to seek out Adventure games elsewhere. Enjoy! - Mama Mia - February 15, 2013
