Far too short..
The BFG website promised hours of extended play in this CE. I'm not interested in extras like more puzzles and wallpapers once the game has finished. Just want value for money, good length of bonus game play and fun.
I took it to mean the bonus play was, (unlike so many games) of a good length. Playing advanced mode, I'd finished the trial hour, main game and bonus content in under 3 1/2 hours.
I'm getting truly fed up playing the trial which promises fun HOS ie. everything interacts until you've solved the game, only to find on buying the game it's mainly junk pile HOS.
In advanced mode there were sparkles in the HO scenes! Barely interactive, I found the sparkles extremely annoying. I'm not too stupid to work it out for myself!
I've always supported these devs, and have just about all of their games. This is the second time in a short period these devs have released a game with the trial not having any junk pile HOS, and on purchasing the game is almost nothing but....
I feel duped into buying the games, when I discover they aren't what the trial promised.
This game has good graphics although far too easy, too much hand holding and very linear in game play.
The puzzles were very easy.
Don't feel it was worth the extra money.
You collect lots of instruments along the way, which promised something exciting if you found them all. I found them all, but nothing happened that I noticed anyway..
It's ok if you don't expect too much from a CE; wish I'd waited for the SE.

Terrorizing shadows!
Another great Maestro game. Great story, great music, great fun. The graphics and voiceovers are brilliant! There are no achievements but you do get to collect musical instruments. This isn't a hard game to play but it will captivate you. The HO's are a mixture of list finds as well as the interactive, sillioutted find an object such as a key, open a box and find the next item in that box etc. Most of the items you find throughout the game are easy to place or you will know what they are used for. Go ahead and buy this one, you'll love it.

Based on Demo only!!!
Another in the Maestro series which I found very similiar to the first two. Great graphics etc. and love the way you have to find the items (silhouettes) instead of the boring lists. Mini games I find pretty easy to do but enjoyable nevertheless! Collectable musical instruments and apparently there is a surprise for you if you get them all!!!!! Can't wait!!!!! Although it is a buy for me, I have only given it 4 stars as there isn't that extra 'ummph'!!!

So disappointed
I loved the first two games in this series and expected to love this new one, too. Unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations. The game has so many bits and pieces of things that the players must do that the thread of the plot is completely lost and they end up spending the game looking for ways to finish puzzles and HOS so they can finally move on.
The ealier games were strong on plot and it was fun to move from one point to the next. In those games, puzzles and HOS were part of the fun but not the whole game. In this game the puzzles and hidden object scenes ARE the game.I would not recommend buying this game.

Maestro: Music from the Void Collector's Edition
Based on completed game, I gave it three stars for two reasons; the short length of the game and the very short length and repetitive scenes in the Bonus Game, which took us back to the same places played in the original game. I think if they are going to make it a CE with CE price, the bonus should be worth the extra money we pay for the game itself, i.e. double the price, double the fun???? Especially if the game is as short as this one is. I love these games and the Developers but it's not worth paying CE price for just a little over two hours of play. I agree with another reviewer, get rid of the wallpaper and music and junk they make part of the CE and give us what we want out of a game! I have never seen a reviewer speak about how great the wallpaper is or how they loved the music so much during a game that they listen to it for entertainment!.

Very disappointing
Nothing as good as the first two of this series. Mostly HOS and lots and lots of puzzles.
Good music, good speaking characters, interactive HOS.
Very, very short for a CE: 4.25 total hours on casual. This is way too short for a CE price.
Recommend only as a SE or a bonus game.

It's time to end the series!
I have the first two games in this series and really enjoyed them. This one is more of the same, no new story. Nice graphics, although a bit grainy. Very nice game play. I like the HOGs, but you need to change them up a bit and not stay on the same "find this and use it to get that" idea. Gets boring real fast. Games were very simple, too simple.
As for the SG...Please people, make the type just plain type. This is very difficult to read, as it makes everything look very blurry and tires the eyes very quickly. If it weren't for the blurr, I would buy this in a heartbeat. Fancy type is NOT going to sell a game.
The game itself is almost too quiet, not much voice interaction or music build up to keep it going. Yes, I do like the voice overs, but this game needs "actors" that have some emotion in their voice to make it more believeable. Started off good, but went down hill with the next voice.
Because of the SG, I will have to think about this a while, so it will go into my puddle for maybe later. Because I have the other two games, I will probably purchase this one as well, but have to really think on it a few days. Do I really need the SG? Can my eyes put up with the blur long enough to finish the game? This game was not bad, but not exceptional either. Not really up to the usual ERS standards. I will recommend this ONLY because it isn't a bad game.
As always, try the game for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for it at all. It is okay to disagree with a review.

good - while it lasted!
Good game - but it's very, very short and to me certainly not good enough value. The story is a little disjointed and I played the whole thing in less than two hours - I couldn't believe it was at the end so quickly.
The puzzles are very easy and don't pose too much of a challenge but it's not without merit - thank goodness I bought it on a "buy one, get one free" offer otherwise I would have felt very cheated.....

Like An Old Friend.
I have all the Maestros and like them all. A pretty game (as expected from ERS) and the music is lovely. BUT, this installment is the same old same old. Many hidden objects are misnamed and the hint button is rather useless. The HOs vary between silhouette search and standard find by text noun and some are interactive (find this and do that to find another). The puzzles are fun, but nothing too challenging.
Scaring the horse with fireworks was a little much. I hope this is the last Maestro as this player wishes to remember the series fondly.
I recommend this game for those who are true fans of the Maestro series. Perhaps wait for the SE as this game is not CE worthy. Four stars for nostalgia.

An easy peace of mind
This is an OK game that I have completed under 2 (!!) hours in hard mode. I think it is the simplest in the series and will be ideal for begginers. It is too linear and too short. I started at 7pm and finished it at 9.10pm including the bonus chapter. The storyline is OK but too slow and sluggish. Graphics and sound are amazing but the fun factor somehow disappeared after 20 mins of playing.
A solid B+ is a fair rating.
Thank you Ers Games!
