Maestro: Music from the Void Collector's Edition
Far too short..
The BFG website promised hours of extended play in this CE. I'm not interested in extras like more puzzles and wallpapers once the game has finished. Just want value for money, good length of bonus game play and fun.
I took it to mean the bonus play was, (unlike so many games) of a good length. Playing advanced mode, I'd finished the trial hour, main game and bonus content in under 3 1/2 hours.
I'm getting truly fed up playing the trial which promises fun HOS ie. everything interacts until you've solved the game, only to find on buying the game it's mainly junk pile HOS.
In advanced mode there were sparkles in the HO scenes! Barely interactive, I found the sparkles extremely annoying. I'm not too stupid to work it out for myself!
I've always supported these devs, and have just about all of their games. This is the second time in a short period these devs have released a game with the trial not having any junk pile HOS, and on purchasing the game is almost nothing but....
I feel duped into buying the games, when I discover they aren't what the trial promised.
This game has good graphics although far too easy, too much hand holding and very linear in game play.
The puzzles were very easy.
Don't feel it was worth the extra money.
You collect lots of instruments along the way, which promised something exciting if you found them all. I found them all, but nothing happened that I noticed anyway..
It's ok if you don't expect too much from a CE; wish I'd waited for the SE.

I loved the first two games in this series and expected to love this new one, too. Unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations. The game has so many bits and pieces of things that the players must do that the thread of the plot is completely lost and they end up spending the game looking for ways to finish puzzles and HOS so they can finally move on.
The ealier games were strong on plot and it was fun to move from one point to the next. In those games, puzzles and HOS were part of the fun but not the whole game. In this game the puzzles and hidden object scenes ARE the game.I would not recommend buying this game.

This game is terrible. It took me less than 3 hours to complete it. For the amount they are charging for it, I expect significantly more hours of entertainment. The music is terrible - especially for a game with a MUSIC THEME. Graphically speaking - I know this is picky, but as a violinist, the visuals were terrible - you would not play a violin like that. The bow does not go over the fingerboard - then again, if you did play it like that, the sound quality would be about what you got from the digital music in this game. Enough said.

it's time to put an end for Maestro
Very sad about this game. A bit of challenge, no fun at all, find myself cursing at the weird puzzles that makes no sense and i just want to hurry up and finish this thing. (This is me, I am a devoted player who likes to always finish his games, whatever).. maso... maybe.

Not So Good
I didn't like this one. The storyline and music were just okay. Lots of grainy HOS. Items in the HOS were mis-labeled at times....comb would actually be a brush, kettle would be a serving tea pot, nautilus would be a paper boat. Yikes! It moved slowly and just wasn't fun.

I thought the plot was hokey. Tedious, but nice graphics.
Played the CE. Too much death. What's entertaining about death? To me the plot was hokey. I really got sick of these smokey, foggy, gassy skeleton heads whirling into the scenes. And the idea of a bad villain as a young music student was hokey and not believeable. Turned me off to the game. The artwork was very nice, but the HOs were boring. The second half of the game became HOS and games. Monotaneous. Wanted the game to be over to such a degree, when I saw the beginning of the bonus part with more angry skeleton heads, I said "Goodbye, I'm out of here, and I uninstalled it. Wish I had my money back. I was expecting a lot more.
