JUST A WARNING..after the fact
I bought this game when it first came out, and now I am adding a review after the fact, to warn any gamers contemplating buying this game, that it is great at first, but towards the end it is simply impossible. I hate games where you can't finish, so every day, I go back to it for one level, to see if I can get through. Alas....not to be. The cards are dealt out in so many layers that is virtually next to impossible to get 4 perfects in the nine rounds. The cards just keep repeating themselves; what you have showing is what it will give you. Eventually, you use up all your money trying to finish by using cannon balls...but forget it...it is just impossible...and totally maddening.
Beware! DO NOT BUY if you can't stand being unable to finish!

Best Solitaire Game Out There
Until this game, my favorite solitaire game was Fairway by Big Fish. The actual card game on this one is much more challenging. The last level in this game is extremely difficult to get by - but I'm proof you can do it. You will need to use cannon balls on that last game so save them up. I also like that I will play this game again. (I like Fairway for the same reason.) Highly recommend this game if you are a solitaire lover. (And Fairway too!)

Progress regularly "undone"
I quit after half an hour. Which is so rare for me as I simply love this type of game, and almost bought it without even testing. So glad I didn't! Too many flaws....
- I ended a hand with a chain of 19, but the "best chain" tracker still only showed my best chain as 8
- on scene 5 of 6, I achieved the 5000-gold goal - got the popup that struck off the goal - but at the end of scene 6, I was told that I had failed as I had not achieved the 5000 gold requirement. And no, I didn't spend any ;)
- several "addition" errors on scoring ... say I earn 700 on scene 1, then earn 900 on scene 2 ... the end of scene 2 it will say "scene score 900 - level score 1020" or something foolish like that - ignoring most (but not all) of what I'd earned previously.
I simply cannot play a game that has flaws like this - no matter how good the graphics, story, design, music, power-ups, or anything else may be. :(

One of the better ones
I think this is one of the better solitare games that is out there. I really like the story line of trying to rescue the main pirate's girlfriend. The layouts of the cards is well thought out and a challenge. I do not play alot of solitare games but I will be buying this one, it is alot of fun.

Fixed deck.
Very similar to Avalon Solitaire and has the one pet-peeve of solitaire games that I absolutely hate--a fixed deck. In other words, you aren't playing each hand w/ a regular deck of 52 different cards. You might get 8 Fours....6 Jacks, etc. in a level. In the original (and best) Fairway Solitaire, I think there were a few too many Jacks, but other than that the deck seemed normal (played that way anyway) but in this game the repeating cards are so obvious as to be distracting (how many fours can I turn over in the play deck while I already have 3 or 4 on the tableau???)
This one has cute graphics and sound effects and I like it, but the fixed deck thing makes it a definite no buy for me. If you don't mind that aspect, and like golf solitaire, this is worthy trying out.

Pirates, cards and cannons. What more do you need.
If you just want to have a little bit of fun from the other genres. This is a very, good option. I don't even play many card games but this one is really, really good! Don't do alot of reviews either but this one was worth a shout out. Ratings I gave says it all. So ahoy matey. Drop anchor for a sea full of fun and travel the mighty waves. Each level is progressively harder so be prepared for a challenge. Great extras too. Demo it and you'll see.

Great logic game
I played this game for 60 minutes in trial mode and it's definitelly not enough. Even it's a card game, it has a wide storyline with lot of options, tools and extras. Visual effects are top class. Beside, the game gives lot of fun, it's a great game to practice logic thinking and concentration. I definitelly recommend this game for all young and older, who want to use their time, not only for fun, but also for streching brains.

Solitair and pirates, arrr!
I liked this game! I love playing solitar and this one has several twists that keep your interest. The beginning tutorial has you play several hands to get you familar with the rules. Some cards are covered with barnicals, some underwater etc and you have to uncover "tool" cards to unlock some other cards. A lot of fun, I will probably buy this game.

Bought It!
Played the demo and it took me a bit to get used to the "high and low" but once I did, I enjoyed it well enough. Perfect for when you want to unwind a little. Graphics are good and options are available.
