Not that great! I have a number of solitaire games and really enjoy playing them. This one has nice graphics and game play. Music gets annoying very quickly. Not a whole lot to do in this game, so got boring fast. It has a different story line, but that just didn't hold my interest and I like pirates. Needs a little more to boost the play, but not sure what. There are no wild cards to help the game along, so it moves slowly and is more difficult to beat than other card games. Fairway has always been my favorite, but I've been playing Chronicles of Emerland and really like that one a lot. This one could have been quite fun, but has no extras to make me want to keep playing. Maybe it changes as the game goes on, but didn't make me want to buy to find out. I recommend for people who just like to play solitaire with no challenge. As always, play it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may find it quite enjoyable. Thanks for the reviews. January 28, 2013
COULD HAVE BEEN GOOD The card game is interesting and good -IF you don't mind playing with a stacked deck. I got the game for free and that's about what its worth March 18, 2013
2 LEVELS B4 END OF GAME BECOMES UNWINABLE You only have so many cards in the deck and when you've got octupus and frozen cards and BEFORE you can even get 2 or 3 cards OFF the board, you've already gone through 5-6 cards FROM the deck. When you come close to clearing the board (you've got to get 4 Perfects and $20k#, you can't do so because you've ALREADY turned over 99% of the cards from the deck in which the very card#s) is bygone. This is a challenging game which I did NOT mind but it became ridiculous at the end. June 25, 2013
Sloitaire as far as playing Solitaire its fine, but to move on you have to get so many credits & so many long runs..I have gotten to page 16 in the book, & I havent counted, but I bet I have played the SAME game without moving on at least 40 times !!!! I either don't get the 20 in a row, or if I do, I don't get the points. It is very frustrating at this point, I would like to move on with the game. IF it didn't take so long to move on, the game may be fun but I havent got there yet, and if I don't soon I will trash it! May 15, 2013
Progress regularly "undone" I quit after half an hour. Which is so rare for me as I simply love this type of game, and almost bought it without even testing. So glad I didn't! Too many flaws.... - I ended a hand with a chain of 19, but the "best chain" tracker still only showed my best chain as 8 - on scene 5 of 6, I achieved the 5000-gold goal - got the popup that struck off the goal - but at the end of scene 6, I was told that I had failed as I had not achieved the 5000 gold requirement. And no, I didn't spend any ;) - several "addition" errors on scoring ... say I earn 700 on scene 1, then earn 900 on scene 2 ... the end of scene 2 it will say "scene score 900 - level score 1020" or something foolish like that - ignoring most (but not all) of what I'd earned previously. I simply cannot play a game that has flaws like this - no matter how good the graphics, story, design, music, power-ups, or anything else may be. :( March 9, 2013
JUST A WARNING..after the fact I bought this game when it first came out, and now I am adding a review after the fact, to warn any gamers contemplating buying this game, that it is great at first, but towards the end it is simply impossible. I hate games where you can't finish, so every day, I go back to it for one level, to see if I can get through. Alas....not to be. The cards are dealt out in so many layers that is virtually next to impossible to get 4 perfects in the nine rounds. The cards just keep repeating themselves; what you have showing is what it will give you. Eventually, you use up all your money trying to finish by using cannon balls...but forget is just impossible...and totally maddening. Beware! DO NOT BUY if you can't stand being unable to finish! Too many glitches I generally love these games like Fairway Solitaire. This one has too many gremlins that make it hard to advance the levels. Things like: I lost at levels because I got too many of the same card that I cannot use. Don't need 5 sixes in a row! I don't think the power-ups are powerful or even useful sometimes. If you like these games, I would try another. March 13, 2013
