Outstanding HOPA game! It will hold you on your computer. Already at the beginning has a gloomy atmosphere, which continues through the game and cutscenes. You'll enter a nightmare to heal Emily, whose energy was sucked by a strange and mysterious creatures with their black smoke. Excellent and crisp graphics, well-designed, with care in details. Great music and sound, gloomy and immersive atmosphere, lot of strange and creepy locations. Few, however entertainers, HOS, some new and interesting mini games, not very challenging, but I really liked. And... collect 36 origami. I love it! 7 chapters and has a map. Highly recommended !! One of the best games I've ever played!!!! The design quality of the different scenes, even the dark ones, is so fantastic and surrealistically, very detailed graphics - it is hard to describe!! The story is a sequel to the first Nightmare Realm. It is useful to play that one first (which is also very recommendable!). Otherwise you won?t understand everything? Story is really thrilling and has some unexpected turns. Compared to the first Nightmare Realm, we have quite few HOS, but a lot of beautiful designed and (most of them) quite challenging minigames and puzzles! We have 3 modes to choose, a very helpful hintsystem outside the HOS, telling you what to do next. And yes: Even in this standard-version, we are able to collect 36 different, very good hidden origamis, to unlock secret character cards. The only (little) complain I have, is that the map is not interactive, that means a lot of back and forth? The main game ends conclusively. The bonus-chapter in the CE tells you, why the evil turn out that bad? Even though this game has some logical weaknesses, it is high recommendable!!! January 30, 2013
Don't overlook this game! This review is based on playing the demo and then the game. I'm not sure why this was released at the end of the month, but this is a game worth having. Like many, I had several coupons to spend that don't apply to collector's editions and many of the collector's editions "benefits" don't really appeal. I read the reviews and actually did what many reviewers suggested, which was to replay the game leading to this one which came out awhile ago and made me recognize the advances in gaming in so short a time. A nice reprise and a gauge for me about how much we have come to expect of games these days but that's not always what makes for a good game. I really enjoyed this game. I've played enough that I don't really need a strategy guide unless I can't figure out where to go and this game allows you to use your skills to figure it out. I does take some minor adjusting to the framework of the game. It does help to read the guidelines at the beginning. Tutorials are good just to adjust to individual nuances of a game. The map is helpful although not a jump map it does tell you where objectives are and help with the structure of this game so it's worth it to avoid future frustration. . And there is the enjoyment of finding the extra origami figures that appeals to many of our gaming natures. The puzzles were good. Not too easy but not so hard they stopped game play. Enough incentive to want to keep going. For me music is an important aspect. In this one , music was good, not great, but nicely in the background but not that annoying drive of some recent releases so no need to turn off sound. There are not many HOG scenes so if that is the type of game you are looking for this may not be for you.. It's more adventure, puzzle. A very nice game to spend on a coupon. Additionally, I have been playing BF games now for quite awhile and was feeling somewhat guilty about the accumulative expense (although that's many years worth) but have found it worth the money. Research is now quite clear that these kinds of games are quite stimulating to the brain (Better than the NY times crossword) and I have seen an improvement in my own abilities on many levels, so I don't feel guilty anymore! Keep on playing Fishies for good brain health! February 2, 2013
Felt like I was having a nightmare! I didn't play the first Nightmare Realm, and I still enjoyed this game. The HO's were interactive, (you had to dress up a doll to look like an idol etc,) I felt the puzzles were easy, there is a map that shows you where an action needs to be done but doesn't take you there you still have to go back and forth, however I think thats part of the game, figuring out and remembering where to go. Another good feature is that you get to collect 36 origami items throughout the game! Good graphics both nightmarish as well as beautiful make believe realms. January 30, 2013
One of the best This game was one of the best. I played trial and had to have it. Well let me tell you that it was worth every dollar. Great story, graphics. Not to many cutscenes, few hidden objects but the ones they had were not just straight search they were interactive. Puzzles were great, easy but yet challenging. Not a short game at all. This is the type of game you wish could just keep going on forever. I would definitely recommend this game. Great job guys! January 31, 2013
Finally a Game Worth the Price! Ever since the 1st MCF came out, I have been in search of a game that come close to the standards of what a game should be. I was so happy with this purchase after buying the full version, and was even more ecstatic that this wasn't a "Collectors Edition" that required 2 game credits. The visuals were great, at times it looked like the picture would come popping through the screen of the computer. The story line was great, something that I haven't seen before. There were only about 3 HO screens but it was not the normal search and find, it was combined into several puzzles and I liked that it was something different. I give this game 2 thumbs up. BF needs to bring more games like this! January 30, 2013
Excellent HOPA! The most challenging I have ever played! Totally captivating from the first moment! This game is unusual. I loved the suspense, the stunning visuality and the immersive gameplay. The reviewers have given the specifics, so there was nothing more I could add, except another five stars. This game has it all! Played part of the demo, then downloaded and bought the CE of both this game and the first one, sight unseen! January 31, 2013
Nightmare Realm: In the End... Great graphics, Cool music, Engaging mini games! January 30, 2013
Loved it, actually creepy One of the top ive played. Great story, graphics, puzzles and hos were just right. 36 orgami to find. Hope they do another creepy one like this. January 31, 2013
Wow! Just Wow! One of the coolest games I've ever played! Incredible graphics! Unique scenes! Amazing new puzzles! Super long gameplay! Not boring for an instant! Simply incredible from start to finish. You really get your money's worth with this one. And then some! When I compare this with some of the run-of-the-mill games I've purchased, well, there is no comparison! The creativity that went into this just blows my mind! I can't say enough good things about it, and the developers who went the extra mile to bring us something truly one-of-a-kind. A must-have! February 14, 2013
