Nothing to write home about!
Review based on the demo.
Graphics were good, but everything else was 'so so' imo. The storyline wasn't gripping in fact I am sure I already know what the 'twist' is that other reviewers have talked about. HOs and puzzles lacked any challenge and as others have said, the game just felt 'slow'. My biggest bug bear was the assistant. I totally fail to see what he added to the story apart from being a very irritating interruption in every new scene.
All in all I was in no way compelled to spend the money on this CE.

Eh, I guess it's okay...
First off, my review is based solely on the demo. I can't say I found the demo compelling enough to want to buy the game, not without some sort of major discount for it. After the previous Grim Facade game (Sinister Obsession), I will admit I wasn't expecting a ton from this one, so I can't say it necessarily disappoints.
The graphics are pretty, but not great due to their hazy/misty quality. They do seem a bit less grainy than they did in Sinister Obsession, however. The animation was well done in the cut-scenes and at other times. The music gets a bit repetitive and old after awhile, much like Sinister Obsession, so if I were to play beyond the demo I'd be very likely to just turn it off. The voiceovers are really just not good for the most part. The actors do not sound like they come from Spain at all, which seems out of place given that you're in Spain. (You could excuse it for a few, but not the characters that are supposed to be locals.) They also don't have a lot of emotion to their voices, which means that even if the out of place accent doesn't bother you, their lack of emotion is likely to. The storyline was so far okay in the demo, other than the assistant they felt the need to stick in.
The assistant they added in is extremely annoying. He's the only one I encountered in the demo who could really get away without an accent, but he just has an annoying voice to me anyway. His clothing is hideous, and he constantly pops up in an annoying fashion in mini-cut scenes to make pointless comments. Frankly, I was just left wishing that he'd been murdered, or that one of the random "accidents" that kept happening to try and make the story more exciting would take him out.
For the most part, there isn't a ton of challenge to the game, at least not in the demo. It's more a matter of just waiting until you come across the correct item, or until you have enough gold coins to buy it. And despite choosing a level of play that was supposed to not show active zones, it still occasionally did so. The hidden object scenes have some variety in that there are the traditional ones, the find and place a needed object variety, and the find X number of the same item. However, they don't always work correctly - for instance, one of the traditional ones I encountered had at least three items that were hidden behind other items (making the scene more interactive), and two of them didn't unhighlight to tell you that had become visible like they generally do. I just saw them when I opened a door and clicked on them anyway. The one "find x number" scene I encountered had at least one of the item I had to make myself, but I never would have known that had I not finally gotten bored and started randomly moving my mouse all over the scene, which isn't something I tend to do in hidden object scenes for no reason. Slight issues like that could end up leading to some major frustration for some players and make a CE version a lot less worth the price. The mini-games/puzzles encountered are either just okay or too easy.
The journal is a bit better in this game than in Sinister Obsession, and has a suspect section which has the potential to be interesting. Since I only played the demo, I can't comment much on the bonus features. This does have a strategy guide if needed, and you collect hints in the form of fans much like the previous games. You also collect gold coins to buy things to help you along in the game, at least one which struck me as odd (why are you buying the piece to a box owned by someone elsewhere in the game as opposed to finding it?), but it's nothing new to this series. The strategy guide lists the game as having only three chapters, so I'd sort of wonder at the length of this game as well. They could be three long chapters, but I'm not sure that would help given the fact that this just isn't a very compelling game in the demo.
While there are some slight improvements compared to Sinister Obsession, which is a step in the right direction, I'm still not incredibly impressed with this one based on the demo. It just seems okay, and wasn't a whole lot of fun for the most part. So again, without a major discount I just don't see myself purchasing it. Maybe the SE version when it comes out using a free coupon, but even there I'm still not totally sold.

Truly Enjoyed!
I chose to play this game in the most difficult mode, promised myself not to use the SG and not use hints unless I had no hair left to pull out. Well I have a few hairs left on my head. The shadow hidden objects were challenging meaning clever enough to give me a run for my money.
I really mean it I enjoyed the game.
PS Appreciate that mini games and hidden objects can be revisited. I named the little fox after my favorite dog. Trivia was a nice touch.

My assistant needs to let his hair down...
seriously...I just wanted to rough him up and slap him around a bit.
This was a very impressive game. These guys never disappoint me. I own a few. :P
I always find the assistants and animal companions amusing. Collecting coins to spend on needed items and collecting fan pieces for hints was new to me. I liked the design of the notebook...list of suspects feature especially. There is also a decent amount of extras which include being able to replay HOS and mini games and some trophies thrown in for good measure. I found the "coloring book" fascinating. Another HIT for my wish list.

A GREAT GAME THAT HAS IT ALL!
This review is on the purchased game. What a pleasant surprise. . . this game has so many layers to it and features that I love - great graphics, VO's, and hint system. I loved the fact that this game has a great blend of IHOG's and FROG'S. The puzzles are not too hard either. I also really liked all the extra's this game has. . . like collecting coins to buy inventory items and collecting fans to get more hints. I also like our "assistant" who talks over the case with us. One of my all time favorites.

Grim Facade:cost of jealousy
I did a Beta survey on this game, and it is brilliant , good clear graphics, good sound plenty to do, the ho's are clear, the hour that I played made me sad when it ended so I have waited for this game to come out, as with all this series to play, I know you will enjoy it as everyone will.

Mixed Feelings About this Game
I liked the stoyrline of this game. I played 55 minutes before the demo ran out, so I feel the level of challenge was great. It usually only takes me 40-ish minutes to get to the end of a demo.
The visual/sound quality was good; nice colors, music was theme appropriate, no scene was too brightly lit or too dark. I enjoyed the silhouette-type HOS. Nice change of pace. The interaction of having to find one item to use to find another isn't new, but not done very often, either.
My biggest complaint is when I first started the game, I was asked if I wanted some interactive help. I clicked "no". Played for a few moments and then a large box appeared with an arrow pointing to an area of interest that asked if I wanted the tutorial. Didn't I just moments before say "no"? Rather irritating. No means no!
There were quite a lot of dialog and cut scenes and that got tiresome. It made the game play feel rather slow.
My overall rating of the game would have been higher had it not been for those two issues, but I would recommend the game.

Cost of Jealousy V Cost of Game
First off Love these type of games, BUT this one I finished in a few hours, not worth the price, intrugued ? nope, hated some of the HO's and puzzles were not great either, all in all save your money, this really falls short of a great game

Don't think it's worth buying
I finished the demo in 25 minutes....what does that tell you?
I didn't like that you had to collect coins to advance in the game, it seemed outdated. Also the story was really dumb. Was the wife kidnapped or not? They said she was and then she left by herself...um, what? I also didn't like that you had to collect fans for hints. I never used a single hint...the HO and mini games were that easy. I just played the demo, but from what I have seen, I won't be buying this. The only thing I did like was the fox, he was cute.

Love it but...
I love the game but again have found myself at this decision of whether to buy the CE or wait for the SE. I want the bonus chapter BUT the other extras don't interest me...the screensaver, wallpapers, music, etc...not interested.
Anyway, I found this game wonderful. I adored the little fox, so cute, and really added a little pizzaz to the game. The puzzles were fun, interesting, and the storyline was pretty good...kept you guessing.
Yeah, this is a definite buy...just not sure if it will be the CE. Argh, I wish they'd give us a deluxe version too, with the bonus adventure without the wallpapers, music, etc that people tend Not to really want...I think they'd get a lot more people forking out for the bonus.
