This time a definite buy!!
Played the demo of the CE version and decided to wait for the SE release, as I missed those CE-extras such as collectables and achievements. With 5 hours gameplay in the 2nd of 3 modes it has a respectable length. Game ends conclusively. The bonus-chapter offered in the CE is an additional story.
This game is very adventure hooked with a good balance of slightly interactive HOS (although very cluttered, items are easy to find) and interesting, not too challenging minigames and puzzles. We have a map with task-list, which allows you to jump from location to location. Hintsytem is very detailed.
Although this one is not as good as the 2 previous Grim Tales, it is great fun to play!!!!

not as good as the others but worth playing
I read the reviews of the CE and was wondering if this was going to be good or not. The story is not bad. Has voice over and the graphics are good.
Hint button works good. It tells you what to do if you need it. There is much going from place to place to find items but has a good flow. The HOS are not hard and most of the puzzles are easy also.
Has a map to transport you but shows things to do in an area that are not needed at that time. That makes it confusing.
Not a bad game and worth trying. I thought the other Grim tales were better.

Great Grim Tales saga!
I agree this game doesn't have as good of a story as the other Grim Tales, but it's still a fantastic game. The graphics are very crisp and well detailed. You don't need to have played the other Grim Tales to understand this one but you are missing a great series of games if you don't. The hint system is good (nothing on hardcore# and there is a map that let's you travel to other locations as well as telling you what actions need done in those areas. There aren't very many HO's but they are somewhat interactive # touch a case to open) and well done. The puzzles are clever and some are a little tricky, but you can always skip them without penalties because there are no achievements or collectables in this version. The game is fairly long, you will find it hard to stop playing!

FUN-CHALLENGING-BEAUTIFUL
Another great game Big Fish has for us. This one is better or equal to the other three games. Brandon is all grown up now but still getting into situations that he needs help getting out of. This game keeps you busy the whole way through with fun games and thought provoking problems to solve. Beautifully drawn and exciting to play. I had a great time with this game. You get a little help along the way from some "friends" that you pick up. The help button is great if you need it. It took me about four hours or so to play and I will play it again real soon. Loved it!!!

Absolutely enjoyable
This is a very good, nicely detailed game. The graphics are beautiful, Elephant, of course.
So much to do that sometimes you may forget what to do next. The map can help with that, giving you objectives and retrigger your memory.
The imagination and story and sceneries are typical for these devs.
Little guys will help you along the way.
I did not want to buy the CE, because it really did not have anything that the SE does not have, except for the bonus game.
Very beautiful game, and stunning graphics.

Review of completed game
A nice game with a solid storyline, nice graphics, HOS well designed and never repeated (no penalties for overclicking), a mixture of challenging and easy puzzles and a lenght acceptable (4,30 hours with some puzzles skipped).The only con is in my opinion the lack of collectables. An overall good rating.

Not a good game
I did not like this game very much. The artwork is good, but the VO is awful. The story is ridiculous, inconsistent, and just plain awful. The HOS are OK, but some of the puzzles are not even easy to figure out what to do. The HINT button tells you what to do and where, which is good because it sure isn't ever obvious. There is a map that shows where action is needed and allows jumping, but it isn't always accurate.
Playing this game reminded me of some long hikes I have been on. You start out enjoying the scenery, whatever, but end up just wishing you'd get back to the car so you can stop. I found this game to be very tedious. The one thing you could count on was that the object you found would be needed a loooooooong way away from there and usually a looooong time later. Unless you have a photographic memory and play the game in one sitting, you are lost. Very poor game design.

Too much Going Back & Forth
I play a lot of HOG games. Many you do have a lot of going back & forth but are usually still fun.
In this game, there is a Great Great Deal of wandering Everywhere plus you Collect a lot of stuff & half my time is spent having to scroll back & forth to find the item I need.
Because of this, I only play about 15-30 minutes at a time. I figured out why this game is long is because of all the back & forth.
The good thing is the (oops forgot what it's called) on the right side is a map which helps a great deal.
This game could have been a lot better but I just get bored having to do so Much Back & Forth. I usually enjoy games similar with going back & forth - BUT this one just has TOO much back & forth going on & I get bored.
Audio - I never listen to so can't tell you about this.
Graphics - are really nice, so far no dark areas. The HOGS are sometimes hard to find.
This game does not Just have a lot of Back & Forth but I do not always know what to do next and have to use HINT a great deal - No fun in that. Not like all the Other Grim Tales that I have.
I appreciate those who can handle this game - But is just Not for me.

Love the Grim Tales Series
I bought this game without playing the demo. I enjoyed the others so much that I knew this one would not disappoint and I was so right.....a lot of fun....I can play this game again in the future and enjoy it all over again....That is what I look for in a game when I purchase it....I want to be able to play it again someday and not be bored with it.....This one did not let me down....If you liked the first two, then you will like this one too....Fun, entertaining and the scenes are gorgeous....I highly recommend.......Enjoy gamers

Good game
This was a good game. There weren't tons of HO scenes. Minigames were good except the chemistry one. Lots of going back and forth to collect objects. Hint button says what to do next which was good. Excellent story.
