not hard and different in play Not a bad game. Has good voice over and the graphics are also good. The hint button works good if needed. The HOS are different but fun. Have to really look good for some. Have to find horse shoes and you get rewards for not using hint button and finding things fast. My biggest complaint is that you are going back and forth all the time to find items to use to keep going. March 25, 2013
Great except HOS overload... *based on COMPLETED game* Excellent story-telling, gorgeous graphics, lots of mini-games, some even challenging (and, yay!, all worked perfectly). BUT downside is the 500million hos, every time we turn around. Each must be done 2x, 1st as list & 2nd as locate the pictured object. Nicely drawn but way too many. HOS became tedious for me. Otherwise, it's good adventuring, fun puzzles & tasks. Collect horseshoes nice extra. Voices, music, ambient sound, all professional. Great ending! Kudos to devs for how well story is developed & integrated with our tasks! Would be 5-stars except too many un-skippable hos--yuck!--so if you can bear the hos... April 1, 2013
Not a good game it was alright but halfway through I thought do I care? not really and the HO it was very dark and the putting of objects that did not exsist in that day and the beheading of the people should have been scary but I just laughed and thought were was the blood it should have been all over the place but there was nothing. The game was OK but a bit perdantic in places would I recomend this game no not really. BUYER BEWARE -- THIS GAME IS SO DARK YOU CANNOT FIND HIDDEN OBJECTS I only got this game because I had a "free game" from buying others.....I played the 1st hour of this, and thought it would be alright since it was my free game....Let me tell you, after the 1st hour you realize how Horrendous and boring this is!!!! The story line is ok, but it really gets Lost because the Game is SO DARK (and I used an App to lighten the screen) you could NOT find items...So you have to wait for the hint to run out....Actually, Big Fish should PAY US to play this Torturous GAME....BUY BEWARE!!!! Another game that needs an exterminator. I could have enjoyed this game and would have purchased it except I can't stand rodents. Especially when they are running around. I will avoid looking in the area of the screen where they are once i have spotted one which makes it hard to complete hos scenes. I do not understand the obsession of game designers with rodents in every scene. it adds nothing to the game, so why do it? Same with spiders and snakes for the people who can't stand looking at them. If it's not an integral part of the game plot, leave the creepy crawlies out. February 11, 2013
The Good, Bad and Ugly If you haven't seen the movie, this is not a terrible game. I only did the trial, and there are obviously no surprises here, but the level of game challenge is decent. For me that makes the play interesting. The graphics are acceptable with some nice scences. This is good. One thing that continues to bother me with these type of games is the lack of consistancy. Why do I have to pass two ladders in order to find a hidden one? And why can't I use these ladders to get the scyth on the windmill or the bag hanging in the tree? Why do I have to find a ruler to open a latch when I have a stick? And why, oh why, did the object I had a minute ago dissapear when I could still use it to perform the current task? This, to me, is the bad. Please never watch the Johnny Depp version of this tale if you don't want this to seem like a total rip off. The faces and actions are taken right out of the movie. And what the heck is a Victrolla doing in the 18th century anyway? Ugly! March 22, 2013
Great Fun What I really liked about this game was that the items you needed to go on with the game are found in one area and when that area is complete, you can go to the next chapter...no running to and fro and having to remember where to go and what is is that you need. This made it more enjoyable to play..The background music was relaxing and soothing..voice overs are good and the graphics were nicely done. The only thing I did have a problem with was the HO scenes were a bit dark which made the objects hard to distinguish.Other than that,I found this game to be a real fun time and you can complete it in one sitting. Crazy little game What a romp that was. This game is perfect for beginners who will enjoy the crisp and detailed graphics (LOVE elephant graphics for this reason), the linear sequence of events and the lack of too much challenge in the puzzles - although a few stumped me! I usually enjoy games with more challenging puzzles and fewer HOS, but the little PING that happened every time you find something never seemed to get tiresome. The range of adventure is nice however I got very tired of the illogical sequence behind collecting objects - I like to realise that I need to solve a challenge, then go and find the object required rather than just fill my inventory with a whole stack of weird stuff. A good Halloween game This is a good game to play at Halloween. The graphics and sound were good. The storyline was good. You have to find the headless horseman. I was able to get through the demo. I enjoyed playing it very much. I would recommend this game. February 7, 2013
Great Game Great game, good storyline, challenging but not difficult. Loved everything about it. February 10, 2013
