JHR's Fav I really liked this game. I don't mind going back and forth trying to remember where what fits. Good for the brain. Not too many HOS and they were easy so I could get by them quickly and get on with the game. Some of the puzzles were hard which I really like especially those in the bonus game. I just wish the game designers would break from the ghouls, goblins, ...the dark side, and design games like some of the old Fav's such as Myst and a whole lot of others. February 22, 2013
Good twist on a classic! Enjoyable from start to finish! Liked the mini-games with a good ratio of storyline, minigames, and the hidden objects. February 20, 2013
Not overly easy Loved the music.. loved the story. beautiful graphics. achievements and a little gargoyle helper. Some really good mini games and this one had some challenge. I had a few what to do next moments and I really had to study my inventory objects. Bravo. This was better than the first one IMO and I gave the first one 5 stars. Set in Paris, you are helping the police who have hired you in secret as they do not want anyone to know that the case has paranormal elements to it. A young girl has been kidnapped seemingly by gargoyles. My only critique is the ending which is the exact same ending used over and over and over again. But the rest of the game.. the cut scenes, the artwork, the music and the storyline are all very good. The HO scenes bright and crisp and some tricky inventory objects. Nice job loved it. Wasn't Really Enjoying This At All Well, I'm going against the general opinion but this wasn't really ejoyable to me; I know a great game when I see it and this was NOT a great game. Good Parts: First off- STUNNING graphics. They were very detailed; artwork is well done, and the colours are great. HOS were really good and included interactive objects. You have to find the map; but when you do it is really useful. A little while in to the game, you aquire the gargoyle, which you can use to help you. This idea has already been used by Elephant Games, but is still a good addition to this one. I liked the amulet too; it was a great, unique addition to this game. There were achievements- YES! OK parts: The hint too a bit too long to recharge, I didn't like most of the puzzles; but some were good. The main problem with the puzzles was the difficulty level. Bad Parts: The storyline wasn't interesting at all. I tried to stick out the demo but couldnt. I was just bored out of my mind. There seemed to be a lot of backtracking with this game. Throughout the game, I was not interested once; I couldnt bring myself to play on. Overall, quite a disappointment. I wouldn't recommend this, February 15, 2013
The 2nd Nine is Wow I'm keeping this short because I need to get Nine as soon as I finish this. The scenery was gorgeous, the music was well done and the voice overs were were well done. The HOS were not difficult and I liked the interactive items on the lists. The strategy guide didn't follow the story as you progressed but that is nothing new. The hint button filled quickly and I didn't check to see if it worked outside the hos. The mini games were not difficult but enjoyable. I thoroughly enjoyed the game and loved that it had achievements. After playing the first 9, this one is just as great. February 18, 2013
AWESOME GAME!! Wondefully done devs!!..The graphics are so very crisp and clear...Loved the map was very helpful..Thinking we may have another part coming??..Great job!!! tyvm February 17, 2013
Hunch Back of Notre Dame? I played about 20 minutes in the demo. This game has the Hunch Back. Joan of Arch as Im sure many more will surface. I did not like this game as I did not like the first one either. I see Im about the only one who does not like this game. It has more mini games than HOS as its suppose to be an HOG. The grafics are ok and the music was annoying. Its about Hugo's classic tale. I would not even purchase it for $2.99. Its just not for me. Very disppointing!! Happy gaming fishies.... It's like watching paint dry At first, It kept my interest, and then it just was agonizing to play, the visuals of the game were awful, the long drab halls, oh brother. The music was the only thing this game had going for it. February 20, 2013
Good mix of Adventure, HO, & Puzzles I'm pretty fussy when it comes to games like this. I only like hidden object searches with a list of words not pictures, I like to be able to turn off ALL hints, and I like the adventure to be open rather than linear. This hit all these points and had a well thought out story and environment to complete the package. 9 The Dark Side please keep making more games! Because I'm nit picky these are the things I wasn't keen on: The story required a bit of reading that was not relevant to solving anything. The puzzles ranged from ridiculously easy to 1 that I was unable to solve and 1 that stumped me because I couldn't figure out how to move the pieces (I actually thought there was a glitch in the game - so frustrating). WOW! WHAT AN AWESOME GAME! Wow what a great game. I am only finished with the 1st chapter but I really like this one. Captivating is the word I will use to describe this one. Gargoyles kidnap a girl in Paris. The mini games are challenging in this one also. There are 3 game modes you can play. I played the casual mode. The scenes are beautiful and the games is quite challanging for me thus far. March 23, 2013
