Not exactly an exciting game!
Help the reporter to find the odd inventor who believes that cars have soul!
- Graphics somewhat blurry in the cutscenes, not really good VO, but good music.
- Two play modes
- Dark scenes
- Found objects are soon employed - and appears what you should do, even in advanced mode.
- HOS interactive, easy
- Mini games known, and not challenging
I found the game a bit obvious. You do not have to think too hard to accomplish the tasks.
Even I do not think the game needs to be very challenging to entertain, this is too easy.
Try the free trial and judge for yourself.

Don't let the title fool you!
I am absolutely buying this game! Let's talk about graphics first. Nobody can outdo this developers talent when it comes to creepy eerie towns! The cars and building look HD and real enough to be on a movie. You feel like it's actually you searching room after room and interacting with the ghosts. There is a good mixture of HO's and mini games, which are fun not frusterating to play. The hint system is unlimited and recharges quickly in casual setting. The music is great, again making you feel like you are alone and looking over your shoulder with creepy footsteps and sounds of an empty house creaking! There is no map, but I love having to search room to room site to site manually, that's part of the adventure! The only thing I wish this game had was morphing or beyond objects! See for yoursef, this is a must have!

REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME
Although this game is distributed by the A Team, it is not their work. It is unfortunate that we are not permitted to name the Devs because they deserve acknowledgement and praise for this marvelous game. They also made Twisted Lands: Origin and The Gift. Before playing this game, make sure your socks are tied on because you will lose them and they will never be seen again.
It starts out just like any standard iHOPA, in a house, which is where the demo is spent. The graphics are excellent and wide screen and I bought it for that, the quirky story and the perfect navigation. Then, I got out the back gate and into the town and the game took on a whole different dynamic. I started meeting the ghosts. A 1920's Flapper. A detective from around 1950. A Marine from the 1960s. A Flower Child from 1970. A guitar player who very much reminded me of Elvis, and fat business man with a bad temper. It is this overlapping of the decades that creates the atmosphere in this game. That and the massive scale of the locations, especially the Warehouse, which is just mind boggling. It is a wonderful atmosphere, something I rarely come across in these games and it kept me totally intrigued and engrossed. Like old Diners, those old Jukeboxes (this one plays music to die for) old trains, junkyards and scrap yards, to name a few? Hold on to your hat. All of them beautifully depicted and imbued with a sense of realism. The only thing they got wrong was the trunk and the engine in the VW, which they put the wrong way round. The story is slightly ludicrous if taken out of context, but then aren't most of them? But with this game it totally works and I thought it greatly creative and fun.
The puzzles are all doable, logical and fun and only a very few old ones. The iHOS are clear sharp and colourful and the game is not overloaded with them. The music is great, as are the cut scenes and the voice overs and there is humour galore from all the fascinating characters.
You receive a vessel with 13 slots and along the way you earn the orbs that fit into them, for a thrilling and wonderfully enacted finale. The hint button is directional, though this game is so absorbing that I seemed to take everything in and remember it, for the most part.
It took me 4.30 hrs and I had the best time in ages. Thanks to these clever and talented Devs, and keep them coming. We do not see enough of you guys.

Nice Game!
Okay, all the bugs and beetles I have seen have their trunk in the front. Where was this one built? Anyway, very nice SE for a change. Nice graphics and game play. HOGs nice and clear (a lot of hunting in and under things), simple games (take some thought). Nice voice over and music. Fairly fast hint recovery and helpful. I wish all games had maps...this one does not.
Not sure why, but I really like this game. There is nothing special about it, but I'm having fun with it. You use quite a lot of shoe leather on this one too, but it keeps you on your toes. I'm happy to see that we finally have an SE that I can use a game credit on.
Personally, I think this game would not only appeal to the beginner, but to the experienced gamer as well. It's just fun and I have the need to see where it goes with the story. Already downloaded and off to play.
As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for it at all. Thanks for the reviews.

Excellent SE Game!
Game details: This review is for the completed game.
-2 Difficulty Modes: Casual and Expert
*Mode can be changed any time during the game through the Options Menu.
-Notebook can be found on the bottom left portion of the screen.
*Clues to solve some of the puzzles were entered in the notebook.
-No Map
-Inventory bar does not lock.
-The game did fill my 19? monitor screen.
-Hint button can be used for both HOS and game play. Very helpful even if no Walkthrough is available.
-Most of the HOS are interactive and in junkpile form. Each HOS is visited twice and the objects are not interchangeable per game (you get the same objects to find even if the game is replayed). There is a misclick penalty if the wrong objects are picked 5x in a row; a semi-transparent dark mist will fill the screen for a few seconds.
-Puzzles could be skipped.
Genre: Science Fiction/Paranormal
Game length: I consider myself a slow to medium paced player, so it took me almost 6 hours to complete the game. Excellent length for a SE.
My opinions about the game:
*I played in Expert mode and there were NO sparkles anywhere, even for the HOS.
*Nice grungy/creepy style graphics.
*Music fit the game without being obtrusive.
*Good ratio between HOS/Adventure. The HOS were fun to do because you could get 2 or more interactive objects per scene. Objects were not too difficult to find and some were cleverly placed.
*It would have been helpful to have a map as there were quite a few areas to roam.
*Interesting story line and characters to meet.
*Most of the puzzles were pretty easy and relaxing to play.

A Game With a Soul
From one of my favorite developers, Motor Town has an air of creepiness to it with murkey looking scenes and dark graphics. Our storyline begins with an over zealous journalist who is after a big story involving a recluse inventor of cars. Known to be an eccentric, he frequently referred to cars having souls. As we pursue the story, we find ourselves in an abandoned town and now look for clues as to where our missing inventor is.
An intriguing story line with an edgy feel to it, passable graphics that could have been sharper, mediocre voice overs, great art-work and a good balance of over-crowded interactive HO scenes along with a variety of unique puzzles that offer some mild challenges; What's not to like? I enjoyed the demo and have already puched the buy button using my free game credit. A relatively good SE game that will no doubt occupy me this evening.

MAYBE...MAYBE NOT
I am on the fence with this game. I really liked the story and the creepy atmosphere of the whole thing, and it stretched out the time between finding new locations, so you have a lot of fun exploring. The artwork is amazing, but not always in a good way. I have never seen junk piles like this! They ought to get some kind of award for this; they bring new meaning to 'messy'. Even in scenes that are not HOs the junk and mess are incredible. After a bit, I started to feel kind of queasy from the filth of it all... but I've got to admit a lot of work must have gone into making the detailed art. There is a fair mix of HO and puzzles. The only thing is the logic of some of the puzzles is very fuzzy, unless of course I am just dense, which is not out the realm of reality, I admit. I had to skip a couple of the puzzles as I just could not understand the directions or make the leap of logic the devs were looking for. I did like the refilling lists and interactive play in the HOs though. All in all, I recommend trying this game and judging for yourself.

Good SG
Graphics are good the storyline is good and the Hidden Objects scenes are good. I played for 30 minutes and did not want to leave. I expect this from the developers and am pleased to find a good game.

Average HOPA - Liked the premise of the game!
The storyline is interesting. Cars with souls! Based on the demo only, the game has strengths and weaknesses.
The graphics were not perfect but they were colourful and the artwork was beautifully drawn. Liked the characters. The HOS were mostly lists with a degree of interactivity. The puzzles and minigames were fun and relatively easy, which made them entertaining rather than frustrating (to quote another reviewer).
The journal records clues needed, but I didn't find a map. Since inventory is used quickly, this is probably not an issue for most players. Didn't play long enough to know for sure. The hint button recharged in about 30 second and provided directional help. If you like to explore, you might like this one. I like spooky, and the music enhances this aspect of the game.
Two things bothered me. I enjoy the cutscenes in most games. They are often powerful and draw me into the story. In this game, the cutscenes played in a choppy manner. They made me dizzy. In some places, they were left hanging on the screen, moving slowly, with no music or sound effects. (Maybe it was my computer?) The second thing is the dilapidated and rundown house scenes, the beaten-up cars, the junky streets and the garbage.
I definitely recommend that you give it a try. Most of my dislikes are based purely on personal taste. The storyline makes it worth checking out. See what you think!

"What the heck is going on", the Reporter asks
In the first hour I have picked through garbage (realistic garbage) in a disgusting 'mansion'. I've met a ghost and seen the bad guy turn into vapor. This game is just plain dirty. If you have to pay money, don't get it. If you have an extra free game coupon, think about it. But, play the demo first, don't take every reviewers opinion. See for yourself.
