AWESOME, ENJOYABLE GAME!
I don"t usualy stop to do reviews of all the games I play at Big Fish, but this one I just had to! I really enjoyed everything about this game and will absolutely be replaying this one. I loved the story line, game play and all about this game, Seems not as challenging as some adventure HO games, but for me not being as experienced as some players, I was able to play and enjoy game without frustration, I think everyone will enjoy this game Thanks so much Big Fish for this one!! Very Good SE Game and Great Puzzles
This is the second time in a week I have had the privilege of reviewing some excellent SE games. I downloaded the demo for Motor Town and was initially put off by the filth of the abandoned mansion but I am so glad I continued on since the game just got better and better.
The game is from a developer who always seems to bring us some very good HO games. When I see their name on a project, I know it is a game I want - so kudos to you on an excellent game. The game is a mix of IHOS and some very good puzzles. I really like the interactive part of the HO scenes as they are a bit different and it is not always apparent what you need to complete an action to obtain the object. Very clever. As you continue your investigation, you will pick up clues along the way on how to solve many of the puzzles so pay attention to your journal.
The game has an different storyline but it is one I am enjoying. It is fun to meet the ghosts along the way who give you items that will be needed to complete the game. The artwork and graphics are excellent. Just remember you are dealing with an abandoned town so you don't get shiny, beautiful, clean scenes.
Again, I am very happy to have such an excellent game come to market as a standard edition. IMHO with a few additions, this would have been a great CE game.
Please give the game a chance because once you are past the mansion things really get interesting and the story picks up.

A Diamond in the Rough - 5+ Stars!!
No bells, whistles, smoke, dust and mirrors to attempt and captivate gamers at the onset! This is an outstanding game which stands soley on it's quality workmanship--and a Standard Edition at that. Bravo!
Every once in a while we gamers get lucky with an excellent and unique game. This is no amateur project--simply the work of genius. Pay attention to the detailed artwork which will blow you away. Nothing is hidden in numerous shadows and fog.
Game is lengthy. Storyline is original. Hidden objects have appropriate items and are do-able. This is a fun game for all skill levels! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-

Has Detroit seen this? ;)
I really enjoyed this game and for a Standard Edition it's terrific. Nice long game play with a good balance between Hidden Object and Puzzles. A little heavy on Hidden Object but tons of interactivity in the HOs eased that abundance for me, being not huge fan of HO. Great clear graphics with door puzzles that hearkened back (in style only) to the old Ravenhearst. Nothing too tough on any puzzle but engaging none the less. Nor were any puzzles anything new BUT often had a new twist on old standards. Great logical solutions to inventory puzzle items too, which is often not the case. I was pleased to see hints were directional only. I've hated recent trend of hints telling you exactly what to do. I played on Expert Difficulty and completed the game.
I would like to give it a 4.5 but that's not an option and it doesn't quite make a 5, but very few games do in the opinion of this picky old bear. ;)
Vrooom!

An Interesting Game (Just Wash your Hands Afterwards)
In this game you are Rachel, a journalist fed up with writing fluffy society page stories. Wanting a "meatier" story, you end up tracking down an eccentric inventor, who believes that cars have souls (well, of course they do!). It looks like there's been some foul play by what must be the most aptly named villain in the entire galaxy. Your job, I presume, is to track down the nefarious villain and save the day.
It's true that the level of challenge in this game may not satisfy everyone. The puzzles made me stop and think for a couple of minutes, but once I figured out exactly what I was meant to do it became quite straightforward. However, I suspect there are just as many people like myself who don't want MENSA-grade puzzles, and although some were a *little* on the easy side, the ones I encountered in the demo kept me happy. I don't want brain-ache from my gaming!
It looks like there are plenty Hidden Object Scenes in this game, and in the demo I visited each scene twice. Some items are interactive, and although the objects are quite clear, I didn't rattle through them as quickly as I thought I might.
The artistry is fabulous, and these dev's must have some of the most talented artists in the industry. Agreed, the general scene is of decay and desertion, and believe me - it's *very* well depicted. In a couple of rooms in particular, I swear I could smell the dirt! This is the reason for the title - after getting down and dirty among all the rubbish, you may feel like washing your hands afterwards!
This game won't be to everyone's liking - it is pretty gloomy, but the scenery is, after all, meant to convey a feeling of a 'ghost town'. Me, I love these types of game.
I will be using a PCC to get this game. I want to know what happened, and I love the scenery. It's an SE, so don't expect collectibles/morphing objects, achievements etc. If you like ghosts and gloom, you'll probably like this. It won't make your brain hurt with its cleverness and tricky puzzles, but it's a nice way to spend an evening. Finally, credit to the dev's for issuing a game that's not immediately brought out as a CE - we need more of these!

Grew On Me
I was bored at first but it got better as it went along. Regular Hoes and nicely done but nothing too fancy. No morphing images, no interactions with surrounding life, bugs, animals. Leaned toward the element of surprise which perked my interest a little. Music was pretty good. Graphics were good and voice over fairly good. The game has potential but needs to be vamped up. I would get this as a freebee only so I am not sure if recommending it is the right thing.

not very special HOG
This is not the kind of game I really like. I played demo and Im not sure if Ill buy. You can "walk" trough the scenes but the game doesnt have a map... so, sometimes you dont know you have to come back. During demo, I dont know the rest, scenes are "dark" and dirty. Maybe it changes till the end... Nice mini games and not very difficult.

OMG It Was So Boring!
I can't remember the last time I was so bored playing a trial game. It takes most of the trial just to get to the story and then you find out there isn't much of one. The ambiance got on my nerves so I turned that off, the custom cursor shut off needs to be fixed and the HOG's are so irritating I wanted to walk away from the whole game. I almost cried with joy when the time ran out to play. This game isn't even good visualy. Blegh!
