The Keepers: The Order's Last Secret Collector's Edition 3.8 5 57 57
Save the World The Keepers -The Order?s Last Secret is the tale of the last keeper working to prevent the unthinkable, the unleashing of unspeakable horror and the end of the world. And, you must work quickly to accomplish all of this before the eclipse that will occur this very day. Sounds like you have quite a task. I only wish the game was as exciting as it sounds. The graphics seem a bit grainy and old school. Although there is some interaction required in the HOS, it?s fairly simple and doesn?t take a lot of thought to figure out what to do. During the game we also get to find 35 morphing objects so that is a bit of an extra. I like voice-overs in a game but I have to say that I don?t really care for the Spanish accents in this game as they seem a bit over-done. What makes the game worthwhile for me are the puzzles. Although they are familiar, they do present a bit of a challenge and that is something I like in a game. Admittedly, I haven?t played the entire game and am hoping that it gets better and not so ho-hum as I move forward. Although The Keepers isn?t a ?knock your socks off? stellar game, it is okay. If you are like me and love HOPA games, you will probably find this enough of a story and game to hold your interest. As always, I would suggest that you download the demo and give it a try. You might just find that you really like this second game in The Keepers series. I can say without hesitation that the game is far better than the first and that is an improvement. February 24, 2013
Everything was just Okay for me I am just completing the bonus chapter, and quite honestly, I will be glad when I finish this game. I love morphing objects, but I found these to be poorly done. The map should have been a good thing, because it allows you to teleport to locations, rather than trying to remember where you need to go, but it was poorly designed, and does not highlight areas of interst, or anything else for that matter, other than showing you what the location looks like. The artwork was also confusing, sometimes it was really bright and colorful, while other scenes were dim and much too crowded to enjoy, I found the same to be true of the HO scenes. It seems as though several teams of artists completed various parts of the game, so there was a big difference scene to scene. I did not find the instructions for mini-games very helpful, so I wound up skipping quite a lot. On the plus side, it does have morphing objects, it does have a teleportation map, there is a journal, and some of the artwork is very well done. However, this game was really a disappointment for me, based on my individual tastes, likes, and expectations, due to some very well made games that have come out recently. Really just not sure what happened with this one, and I am on the fence as to whether I would recommend it. I think this is one of those games that I would suggest tring before you buy. March 4, 2013
PERHAPS CE GAMES AREN'T MY THING Review based on completed game in casual mode not including bonus chapter. Animation/VOS - Excellent IHOS - Combo of dark and light scenes and small to larger objects. Repeated. Random Click Penalty - None Map - Does transport but I used the hint button to get around. Hint - Fast recharge, gives clues and directions. Journal - Contains story, news clippings, sketches, notes, etc. Inventory - Objects used fairly quickly in various locations. Built-in SG, collectibles, beyond/morphing objects, achievements, etc. Great deal of traveling from one area to another. Started to play the bonus chapter but didn't complete it. More of the above. I shall stick to SE games in the future. Guess I become too impatient with longer games and they become tedious after a while. I know many fishies out there love the CE versions for the bell and whistles. Give it a try. You may enjoy it. April 29, 2013
OK Hidden Object/Adventure Game Good Strategy Guide, but Strategy Guide is not needed in casual mode. Puzzles, Hidden Object Scenes (HOS) etc. are easy, and hint tells you what direction to go. There is a map that lets you teleport but the map does NOT show where active tasks are. Journal is a diary. Graphics a bit old school. Music gets boring after a while. Good vocals, what little there is of them. In order to turn vocals off, you have to turn all the sounds off, except the music. This game is just ok. Not great. February 24, 2013
Not feeling the love for this game at all.. A shame... Some HOGS were not sharp enough and I couldnt even tell what some things were so I was clicking around... and I Do Not do that.... SOme scenes were so busy with stuff that instead of seeing a beautul scene it looked like trash... Just not up to par for a CE game or quality... Not even sure I'll buy as a SE A shame because I like the morphing object and achievements, but this fell short of a CE in MY opinion.. and I do see a few agreeing... Ive done so many sharp crisp good flowing games that I guess Ive gotten more critical about my games... Map was not the best at all... One PRO for ME::::: I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeee Locking inventory bars... A++++ on that one... February 24, 2013
Dull and boring This game is something you do not want to play. It is boring with artificial plot and very awkward object management. You do not get anything but "I can use something here" in the hard mode. The storyline is very simple so the environment. I played for 20 mins and put it aside. Save your time and money. No the best of games and not worth the money or your 2 credits! Disappointing and not challenging enough. Far better games on website to choose from than this one. Sorry it's not the best of feedback but just being honest. February 24, 2013
Just OK (that's being generous) I liked the first game much better. The graphics in this game are murky and on the dark side. You have the usual evil, demonic theme that's been done to death. No originality here. It does have: long playing time built in SG that I used a couple of times Music was OK Journal and interactive map If you aren't tired of the same old demon games you will probably like this game as many seem to like it. But I didn't. August 14, 2013
Long & Hard to keep interest going Maybe it was just me, having to do other things than gaming, but i would lose my place a lot. Had a hard time finding morphing items & I had to skip a lot of the puzzles. Not really worth the $$$ for the CE. Stick with the SE, if you can hack it. I won't be playing this one again anytime soon, if ever. More power to you if you like it!!! June 2, 2013
A great game, but rather boring I really liked the first The Keepers game, it leaves a deep impression that even another game developer other than Elephant can produce a game with nice story and excellent graphics. This game has the previous game's interface, but I don't know why I am not so convinced. The background music is very soft to almost none, and the voice acting really slow and it makes me sleepy and wants to finish this game quickly. There are lots of puzzles and HOG but the usual ones, nothing much interactive. The characters are cartoony and not very much like human. You need to collect some dolls for achievement but after a while I am no longer interested because I just feel bored and want to finish the game soon. If you are a fan of the first TK, I suggest you to try the demo first before buying. May 29, 2013
