Halloween adventure Very cute game, cool story and many interesting characters! 2 modes of gameplay: casual and expert You have a journal and a map (allows travel) Hint system is very helpful, also hint button recharges quickly Puzzles are really good, many different ones with different level of challenging, also there are some new ones. For some you have to collect few objects to be able to solve them so it?s always entertaining HOS are mostly clear, interactive, but some of them were a bit like a junkpile and visibility was bad Graphics are adorable, a bit cartoonish but them again some characters were designed really realistic Music was at satisfying level, contributed nicely Storyline is interesting, thrilling and spooky Verdict: great game, I honestly recommend it! Halloween in February! I have to admit I wasn't expecting much when I downloaded this game, what an epic suprise! Even the beginning profile scene was awesome. First of all the graphics are crisp and high definition, the cutscenes are very well done, the cars look real, props such as cell phones look so real that you call even tell what kind of phone it is supposed to represent! A good story to follow along with, driving you along because you want to know more, ghostly characters you meet along the way each have a plight of their own, victims of black magic that you need to help move on. There are many puzzles that are pretty simple to do and won't have you pulling out your hair to figure out such as rotating puzzle pieces until you have a complete picture, or matching pairs of similar items. There is a map that allows you to travel quickly to any scene and shows you which scenes have tasks to preform. There aren't to many HO scenes and the items are well hidden and interactive such as finding sunglass lenses and putting them on the frame. The only complaint I have is that some of the hidden objects were so tiny that you could barely tell what they were. I know you will enjoy this halloween themed game and I plan on buying this to finish the story! February 16, 2013
Shadows: Price for Our Sins (Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure) Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure Gameplay was really smooth. Graphics very clear even whilst dark eerie. Tutorial was very annoying and I won't be using it when I buy the game. Puzzles - good fun and some very different. HO scenes - find by word list - interactive. I was a bit miffed at first because in casual mode you get little sparkles to show you where items are! Bad development. I did just learn to ignore them though - I always find items in the order they are listed and leave all interactive items until last. Map - yes, transportable and shows active areas. There's no walkthrough posted yet but with this map I don't think you will need one. I do normally like to check this just for approx length though. Tasks - no. Any hidden extras i.e. morphing - No. Achievements - no. Voiceovers - done a bit differently - your character is the only one with a voice - normally it's the other way around. Inventory - doesn't lock in place. Journal - yes. Can't comment on hint or skip times as I don't use them. My verdict - a buy for me. February 16, 2013
I've got the guts.... ;) This game is really worth a buy! Thrilling story, creepy atmosphere, clear graphics and a lot to do and explore... 2 modes to choose from: casual (hint refills in 1 min., active areas are highlighted) and expert (hint refills in 30 sec., active areas are not highlighted). In the options you can choose between fullscreen/ widescreen and system- or game-curser. It has a detailed journal and a map, which allows you to travel. Lots of interactive hidden object scenes, some with integrated puzzles, are quite dark: Some items are hard to find. And a good amount of not too challenging minigames, which (as usual) can only be activated after finding 1 or 2 missing parts... Yes, this game provides a lot of fun and "guts" are not really required..... February 16, 2013
Halloween party goes wrong !!! Played 30 minutes, casual - 2 modes, casual, expert - Shortly after starting the game you get a notebook - Same for an interactive map - Voice over - Loud spooky music - Hint refills in 30 seconds casual, 1 minute expert mode, useful outside H0 - H0, you interact a lot, some objects are not too easy to spot, i.e brown on brown background - Sparkles in casual mode, they do appear in H0 which is a shame - Skip button - Interesting mini games - Good graphics You're going to an Halloween party and it gets really scary... Strange that this game appears at this time of the year, still it looks like a good SE, well worth spending a punch card credit on. February 16, 2013
I'm interested! I like the feel of this game. The graphics are pretty and the story is interesting. I'm buying it right now but wanted to review it ASAP to get some feedback out there on this game. I can't give the most in depth review since I haven't finished it yet. But I have faith that this is going to be a really good game. The atmosphere is just right. My favorite. Dark but not gloomy. Thirty minutes into the demo I decided I wanted it. I really like the style of puzzles and the fact that I'm not bombarded by HO scenes. February 16, 2013
Good Game - Fun and challenging I played the "try me" and really enjoyed this game. The only thing is the list of things in the HOS are written in very small letters and I found that distracting. There is a lot to do in this game and puzzles to solve and ghosts to help. Remembering everything can be a challenge. The help button is exactly that - it helps you with where to go or what to do. Just the way I like it. This game will give hours of fun. February 16, 2013
Great HOG This review is based on the demo. This game hooks you right from the start with a sort of Blair Witch type intro. The hidden object sections are challenging and fun, and some of the cut scenes black out so you have to imagine what's going on. Scary but not gross. Nice take on the teenagers in a spooky house genre! February 16, 2013
Halloween Fun This is a great little fun Halloween game. Good story line, great graphics, atmosphere music and sounds are scary. HO scenes are not to easy, I had to use a couple of hints. What a great game that is SE. WORTH playing and paying~ February 16, 2013
It's all good This game does everything right. A solid plot that reveals itself slowly, lots and lots of new areas to see, yet doesn't take you everywhere just to find or fix one item, HOGs that have that little extra challenge, and several mini games with explanations that leave no doubt as to the challenge. The hints take to you the area where you need to go - something I like if I feel lost yet don't want answers. Excellent game for the cost. February 16, 2013

Halloween decorations aren’t the only things hanging around spooky Stone Farm when a group of students unwittingly open a portal to the underworld.
