Kudos for story and bonus
I don't write reviews because others are so much better at it, but I had to add my two cents' worth for this terrific game. I don't particularly care about a game's storyline, but this inventive plot held together, and it grabbed and held me all the way through, as well. The device of collecting scents and making elixirs with specific purposes was very clever and a lot of fun. But what I liked best was that the bonus chapter was so much more than an afterthought: Although the purpose of the main game was accomplished, there was the hint of more, which I thought was the teaser for a later game. But no? it was for the bonus, a follow-on adventure, complete in itself, with ALL the features of the primary game, and with the perfect touch at the very end. This was a smooth and satisfying gaming experience. The folks at Blam! Games should be very proud of their accomplishment.

So-so Adventure/Hidden Object Game
This game is more adventure than hidden object. The music is nice, graphics are well done, and vocals are good. Excellent strategy guide, and a map that lets you teleport to active task areas, which are marked by gold lilies. The journal is good as well. Outside of hidden object scenes, the hint points in area needed to travel. There are collectables, too.
There are dead bodies, a nice man that was helping you is killed, and you get shot at...
There is a lot to do in this game. Different kinds of puzzles, finding scents and combining them in a mini-laboratory to make needed liquids, doing favors for some people so they will help you in return, creating official documents so you can do more investigating...
WIth so many pluses, you might wonder why I gave the game only three stars. This game did not grab me. It was boring with the same old, same old........ No excitement factor. However, play the demo yourself. You might just love it.

European Mystery Scent of Desire Brilliant
I love this game, the music, the graphics, and the storyline, you have 3 modes in which to play the game, the hint button fills quickley, the map is good to get you where you want to go. You have slightly interactive HOs's . You have collectables, the vo's are good, there is so much for you to do in this game, catch the killer, who is killing women with fragrance and deception, I think it would be a good challenge for beginners as well as experts, no complaints with this game enjoy.

DARK GAME AND NOT JUST THE PLOT
Review based on three hours of gameplay because I became bored and started getting a headache. That being said, here is my review:
Animation/Avatars - Excellent
VOS - Excellent. Player actually has a vo in addition to text at the beginning and whatever point I got to in 3 hours. :-D
IHOS - One word - DARK, small to larger object junk piles.
Misclick Penalty - None. Was grateful for that because if I hadn't random clicked all over the screen I wouldn't have been able to find half of the objects on the list.
Hint - Fast recharge, gives clues and directions.
Map - Does transport, also dark, almost grayish in appearance.
Journal - The usual notes, clues, story, characters, etc.
Puzzles/Mini-Games - Unique. Have never seen these in other games. Even managed to solve a few. Skip button is fast.
More time spent back tracking to various locations to find items needed in other areas to complete a puzzle/mini-game/potion.
The usual collectibles, achievements, etc. as is expected in a CE.
Every scene was dark and a strain on my eyes. I will recommend this game for the other features only if you have young eyes, don't wear glasses and enjoy running around in all directions. The brightness on my pc was set to its highest level. I was really anxious to know what happened to these young ladies and why but reached my limit.

A different concept
Based loosely upon the book and movie "Perfume", the storyline is about catching a killer of young women in Paris, while collecting scents, creating fragrances that are used in the game, and of course, hidden object scenes and mini-puzzles. Even though the storyline is morbid, as are many games of this genre, so many are dark and gloomy. This game is bright and colorful...and also addictive, because once I started playing it, I kept going in my spare time until I finished it. The hidden object scenes are easy, and the hint button, which recharges quickly is useful in navigation. I didn't use the Strategy Guide too much, but I did like the interactive map, which tells you where there are things to do. A nice lengthy and interesting game and bonus chapter as well.

Scent of Mystery
The first thing I look for in games is the graphics. In game graphics are on top. Especially want to note as exquisite and tastefully done map - all traced to the smallest detail. The storyline in the game are fresh and interesting. Perfect atmosphere of Paris and London. Really felt, that we play in the European mystery.
As for the gameplay - the mini-games are diverse and interesting. I especially liked to create own potions and collect fragrances.
Game turned beautiful and original, every detail is thought out and developed.

Not impressed
Thankfully I took the trial before deciding NOT to purchase this. Unfortunately I was taken through scenes & conversations that I had already been through. I don't know if this is how the game was made or just a glitch but having to repeat the same scenarios again & again (after I past that barrier or uncovered a secret) just got a little annoying. The story line is fine and the graphics are fine, smooth and so on. Just enough challenge to want to continue but not enough that tires you down. I think the "Maestro" series is a game that others should aspire to, especially when it comes to quality & mystery, this one on the other hand was about average but would not stand out in my mind.

On My Play again, and again and again List
Everything is as I expect a Game to be .... Loved this one ... whoever the people are that made this Game ...I honestly feel You should be the people teaching others...on how to make a real Game... and this one is "IT" because of all the Games Ive played this one Really topped my list ....this is truly a Game of Games, well worth the money,.... I used the hint if I still didnt know what I was doing then there was the old reliable walkthrough, to help me,... It had so many different types of games, so many things to do I Honestly LOVED-THIS ONE on a scale of 1 - 10.................. . its a 10

Exceptional !!!!!
Not to familiar with Blam Games. But I sure am now. I loved it immediately. I don't want to repeat myself, but I must. Mystery Trackers one of my favorite. Elephant Games so so after playing, this one. Hope to see more from this developer. Bravo to them.

Total fun
This was just a great and entertaining game. Made it through without the help button, so not too challenging. The hidden object games are fair and not too challenging even for older eyes. Liked the story line and the beautiful environments.
