Very challenging game to play I bought this game back in 08 and played, it was my second long file game and I gave up on the first one I bought because it was too tedious, but this one got my interest and I played until the end, it took me long hours and many incursions into the strategy guide but I did it and enjoyed the game a lot. Is very challenging that is for sure. December 31, 2011
Loved it Wonderful game keep me challenged for many many hours if ant complaints save game often as I found a couple of times i had jammed up and could not move. But Wow enjoyed game very much. January 5, 2012
More of a Chore, Than a Challenge The video sold me on purchasing this game, it looks like it could be an amazing if it went smoothly. However, the number of times my character seemed stuck with no guidance on where to go, was more stressful than stimulating. I opened up a walk through of the game, but it's not what I'm used to. I'm aware that this is an older game, but I can't stand how it's so picky. Example: Searching for the one little spot on the beach where she can fill her flask. Anyway, I didn't even come close to finishing it because personally, I like to enjoy my games not be annoyed by them. April 29, 2012
Excellent! Loved it so much! I watch every version of the movies and the video game did not disappoint. The graphics were beautiful, the story was interesting but not phenomenal. The puzzles were challenging and it was a very entertaining game. April 21, 2012
A bit disappointing This is a good game with an interesting story and great visuals although many of the puzzles and challenges are left too much to trial and error. The gameplay does not provide sufficient information about what needs to be achieved. January 27, 2012
To Talky I agree with the reviewer badlet. Really no goal focus, I played for a day or two and it was just to long .Didn't know where I was supposed to go and what purpose I was going wherever for. Great visuals. I just got tired of wandering around. I had to put yes or no on the recommend space, I think many people will like it, and many will not. February 2, 2012
Great adventure game Played this game shortly after if first came out. Granted, one has to explore a lot and must admit I d/l'ed a wt. but tried not to use it any more than necessary. Liked the story line and the graphics were well done. February 9, 2012
Frustrating Game I had high hopes for the game based on the video and the description. Once I downloaded the game and started to play, I realized the controls for the game were old-fashioned and sometimes hard to figure out. An example of this was how do you get out of the game? (use the keyboard and hit escape or get to Windows Task Manager and close the game). Not relaxing. February 24, 2013
Decent old-fashioned game A bit of an old-fashioned point-and-click adventure game by now, but still one that can rise to the top. The graphics are a bit clunky by today's standards (I still fondly remember the sceneries with the giant mushrooms) and some of the going back-and-forth for items can take a long time. This is a game for a weekend, not just for a quick game in the evening. But the world you get to explore is fascinating and there is quite some varation. I'm a fan of the art-deco look of the game. One puzzle in particular, the island of the spirits puzzle, quite stumped me. There seems to be no way out of it, once you started it wrong. I had to resort to return to saved games to get out of the loop. But apart from that one, most were enjoyable enough, even if some get you walking around quite a bit. Two nice endings. I wish they made more games like this one. January 17, 2013
COULD OF BEEN A GOOD ONE I gave this 3's because I liked the story line and graphics. Nothing intuitive about this game. Takes wa.......yyyyyy too long for the character to get anywhere. Given that, I finally finished it. The title got me, but had I read the reviews I would not have bought this game. And it has such potential. May 26, 2012
