NO MORPHING! I enjoyed playing the game, loved the map, but almost drove myself crazy trying to spot the morphing objects. I was POed finding they took them out of the SE. I loved the first sacra Terra SE , it had the morphing items. But now it's a play twice and delete for me. I can't honestly recommend a game that has me so tee'd off. s March 18, 2013
great for beginners but not for me this is a oh hum game. the story didn't keep my interest - oh hum! i have salt so why couldn't i melt the ice on the dressing table with it?? i had to wait till i got a cup of hot water?? oh hum, doesn't make sense. why don't i keep things i need later?? oh hum, no sense to it. nothing i haven't seen before, no twists to any game, ho hum. this game has great potential if only the devs put more thought into it. only recommended for beginners and possibly intermediates, or anyone who wants a no brainer. VERY EASY, GOOD BEGINNER'S GAME This game didn't take me very long to complete. If I had played it when I was new to games, I would have enjoyed it because it's very easy and the story is simple to follow. There is a map which takes you to where you need to go, so you don't have much back and forth time wasting. I enjoyed the final scene, it was very well done. I didn't give this a 5 because it's way too easy. It's not a bad game at all, just not one to give me a challenge. I actually was kinda bored and couldn't wait to finish it because I wasn't interested in it. The music has a drone to it that adds to the sense of wanting to fall asleep. If you want a good first game, this one is for you. If you are an intermediate or expert, I don't think this will pose a challenge for you. June 6, 2013
a backwards story of prince charming and his sweetheart Classical fairytales tell about princes who save princesses, not other way around. Feminists seem to have a great influence even in fairy tales lately. July 28, 2013
Ambivalent feelings on this one, folks! I do love certain aspects of this game (SE version; I liked the 1st game much better); there are some pretty neat tasks to complete; the map was okay--not great. I didn't have full screen view, no matter what I tried, and I refuse to compromise my new laptop for any game to change the resolution much less the aspect ratio, but what I had was workable. As for the game-flow it's good not great. I'm at the point now that I'm getting bored, and I want to hurry up and finish this thing. I realize a lot of work went into developing this game, and, with all due respect to the developers, I certainly don't begrudge them for any lack thereof. But, for me, the game just ain't cuttin' it! I realize I'm in the minority, but such is the nature of the beast. Depressing atmosphere, obviously with the occultic theme, it's inevitable. Liked the angel; the deadly sins concept has been around before. Too many HOS for my taste. Morphing objects--ho-hum! Getting the bridge to work was real cool! I recommend this game. May 4, 2014
AGAINST the flow on this one. I am sure this will probably be an unpopular review of this game. But frankly, I get really frustrated seeing all the 5 star reviewers with hundreds of likes on their reviews. It makes the game seem so amazing until you click onto the reviewers' stat page and see that they give out five stars to EVERY SINGLE game in the hope of being on the front page of the reviews?thus winning them more up votes. A game will be out for 3 hours on Big Fish, and already they have swarmed in, tested the demo, and IMMEDIATELY rate it five stars. It's reviews like that that people read first and then put their money into games that are sub-par quality because no one would rave that much about a game without meaning it?would they? They would. This game has nothing spectacular. It is a linear 'rescue my beloved from evil', put mirrors in sunlight, hit birds with slingshots, spread salt on ice, and double HO scenes. The voiceovers were off, the graphics were average and the game play time was average as well. It was a love story with the typical slightly abrupt ending and a bonus chapter that, as usual, really didn't need to be played to get the gist of the game. This game was also not worth spending money on a CE. It would probably stand alone as a SE version with a free credit to use, if you want to replay the same dark, brooding old abandoned theater type of game. When is something new and fresh coming out? I don't care if the graphics and cut-scenes in games are becoming more intricate and stunning if the plots are being reused and reused! My advice: go and read the 3 and less reviews before you purchase a game. Don't stick to the front page and read the key contributors whose average rating for over 60 games is a 4.4 and higher. They aren't reviewing to help people invest their money in new exciting refreshing game. They are hoping for 'helpful likes' and not caring if the game is good at all. Then you'll be like me and end up with a forgettable rehashed gothic mess. Happy gaming, Big Fishies! June 25, 2014
