great game well worth playing, super game April 3, 2013
I really liked this one!! Cutscenes are really great! So are the voiceovers. It all makes the game really come to life, and you sympathize with the characters. That's why it's so immersive and why you have to keep on playing till the end. Very little lip-sync, which doesn't bother me at all, but I know some of you do. Very nice good clear graphics. Great atmosphere. Not a lot of music which is non-obtrusive. The game has a fantastic good flow and plays logical and intuively, a very important feature in my opinion, keeps your intrest going! the HOS and puzzles are done very well, all is clear and Obvious in that aspect. This game ends very conclusivly, and the story is completely rounded up, but I do really think it's worth to buy the CE because of the extra's you never see in any other CE. There are interviews with the inhabitants of the real Kisilova, that tell you the history and relevance of the story. There are also pictures of the real Kisilova nowadays. All of this makes the game even more interesting and captivating. And then there is the bonus game! Very well done and an tremendous ending with a great twist! The rest is standard, but there are some very beautiful wallpapers. One of them is sitting om my lappy now! Ok, no morphs or collectables, but they did give us some new kind of info which I found to be interesting and needs to be rewarded. I had a lovely time playing this game (about 6 + 1,5 hours for me) and hope you will too! Have fun! March 28, 2014
The fear is still here..."based on true events"! Good story: An investigation of nine deaths that occurred in strange circumstances in Kisilova, a small town near Vienna. A HOPA, not really challenging but entertaining, with lots of activities to do and locations to explore. Everywhere always find many objects, which are soon used. Good graphics, great ambiance with immersive atmosphere, nice music, excellent VO. HOS are very interactive, but not challenging. Mini-games also well known - repeating the sequence, joining pipes, find pairs - and not difficult. - Two play modes. - Six chapters plus bonus chapter - Journal containing map, notes and objectives. In the extras, besides the usual (music, art, wallpaper) also has the "Interviews". Is only allowed to play until the second chapter, which can be played in less than half an hour. The strategy guide also shows only until the second chapter. I'd give five star if it were a little more challenging and had collectibles or morphing, which increases the difficulty, attention and enjoyment But is a good entertaining for Easter Sunday. GREAT Idea For A Game FULL ONE HOUR DEMO ONLY I confess, I was sold before I downloaded just by the nature of the story. Which is why I am breaking my own rules and doing an in depth review on a demo. So, in order of my noticing them, here?s what we know: * Great story potential was well presented from the first with the best voice acting I?ve heard, and lip sync! VO can be switched off. * Graphics were not great on widescreen. But when I toggled the aspect ratio, they were much better. * No sign of a SG in the extras ? it?s integrated and directly underneath the hint button. Seven chapters plus bonus (I think), what I saw of it was good and useful, but my bet is most of us will not need it. * We have a ?M. Lupin? style partner, who communicates with the other characters and us. * REALLY good animations. * There is a lot of dialogue so far, and plenty of action, but it serves to move the game along rather than slow it down. All the voiceovers are good. Only early scenes are lip synced. * Interactive HOS were usual junk piles, usual interactions, no hiding in dark corners or super small items. Hint is specific and quick to refill on both easy and hard mode. * Puzzles were all familiar and easy, but presented in some nicely imaginative ways. Skip quick, but again, unless they get harder later, won?t be needed by most. * Good ambient sound and appropriate music, interesting not annoying. * 51 mins to complete on easy level. Hard level shows no sparkles, otherwise, skip and hint slower, basically I could have played on either and not noticed. My conclusion. The devs spent their talents on the presentation of the story, and are looking to entertain rather than challenge. This is a very easy relaxing game. Though I don?t think it will be a short one for all that. It appeals to me already ? I LIKE these people, and I want to know what?s really happening. It doesn?t have the usual spectacle and glamour of a collector?s edition, and I think most will prefer to buy the standard. My problem is, I want that extra chapter! March 31, 2013
