Looking dated now Coming back to this game after a few years I was surprised to see how dated it is looking. Other reviewers mentioned how difficult some objects are to find in the hidden object scenes and I have to agree with the comments on eye strain. I also feel the graphics haven't stood the test of time as so much fine detail is blurry - not a problem with newer games. I'm glad I downloaded the trial and didn't purchase this one. I much prefer the Dark Parables games where you are searching for pieces of objects that mean something to the game. November 1, 2012
Fun game, sometimes confusing. I really like this game and it challenges you. Although sometimes the objects are hard to find, if you look closely you can find them. The only thing I do not like in this game is the inbetween challenges, You can't figure out how to play them other than the spelling ones, they are very confusing and I am now at a point where I cannot go past a challenge. I will have to start all over to keep playing the game. Very frustrating after you have gotten so far in the game. September 4, 2012
It was quite fun.. In this game, you're a detective and help Madame Fate finds out who plots on killing her. I like the circus theme and the many scenes where we can explore, so give it a try^^ July 14, 2012
You MUST play this game if you like MCF and creepy games This game has it all, I frequently replay it. The puzzles are great, the hidden objects fun, the bonus sites you unlock for finding special objects are great, I only wish you could unlock them earlier in the game. There is a very creepy macabre and somewhat funny plot. I just wish MCF would go back and make a CE of this game, or put out another with this combo of puzzles/word games/ hidden objects. Boringly Repetitive But A Must Play All The Same Boringly repetitive, but even still a must play all the same if you're a fan of Ravenhearst games; mainly due to its ending. January 3, 2013
Horrible. Wish I had not bought this game I purchased the game, fortunately with a coupon, and attempted to play it for about 30 minutes. I hated every second, and stopped and uninstalled it immediately. October 26, 2012
Entertaining A fun and a bit crazy game, grafic is also funny November 20, 2011
Madame Fate It was overall a good game. I liked the puzzles and also the hidden object scenes. It had a surprising ending too. I liked the hidden object scenes where they asked you to find the same object many times in the scene. That was fun and easy to do. The reason I gave three stars because the game was short and no adventure. May 26, 2013
Only for die-hard HO gamers Not what I was expecting from MCF. The action all takes place at the carnival, so there is a lot of repetition. You're not collecting any items to be put to use later; the puzzles don't open doors to new settings. There's really no "mystery" to solve, in the sense of collecting evidence. Some of the scenes are so incredibly cluttered that it's difficult to even make out what the basic scene is. Occasionally, an object is misidentified; I wasted more than one hint to discover that an object I had rejected was, in fact, the one that was wanted. The last straw was the bota that was called a "canteen." Madame Fate's constant voice overs don't add anything positive to the game; they are just random, not related to the player's actions. The puzzles are adequately challenging. The need to race against the clock means that this game is not for those of us looking to relax. However, if you enjoy that kind of challenge, this is probably the game for you. May 9, 2013
This game was hard! I normally whiz through these games without ever using the hints. However, this game kicked my butt. The hidden objects were really hidden! The puzzles presented a challenge. Some were hard, some were easy. The mystery objects were also at times to hard to locate. In all, I enjoyed this game. I love games that present a challenge. It makes it feel as if I am getting my moneys worth. April 9, 2013
