Nightmare Realm: In the End... Collector's Edition 4.2 5 97 97
Not as Good as Original I loved the 1st Nightmare Realm, so as soon as I saw this, I bought it, no question. I was pretty disappointed. Very predictable and dark. Not a very happy ending either. Color me sad. :-( January 1, 2013
DIFFICULT Keep going back anf forth. Don't really know what to do. Have to look at stradegy hints all the time, Like to find on my own but cannot. December 30, 2012
It was OK.. I loved the first game in the series so I bought it. There are some improvements from the first game, namely the voice overs, the graphic is also more crisp, but I was a bit disappointed as I am not really sure what is the goal of the game, to save our husband, or for us to go back to the real world? anyway it was not as entertaining as the first one, the hint doesn't really show you what to do, instead it tells you, and it is hard for me to follow. Emily, in this game, has really no role and it is really up to us to save the day. She was 10 years older than when she was in the first game, but she doesn't look that mature. I don't know what's going to happen with Emily when the game ends, so it's a bit disappointment. The map is still not interactive and as the game progresses, I feel that my game loads slower. The extra chapter is good, I feel that this game is not a happy ending and may not be suitable for children to play. If there should be another sequel, I hope it will be better. March 3, 2013
What A Lousy Game! Ok... I'm in the minority as it seems that a lot of other Fishies have liked this game. The thing that I liked about this game is the fact that it's heavy on the adventure side (which I prefer),and has few hidden object scenes (which I also prefer). This game has quite a few puzzles though (I don't like puzzles) and I wouldn't have a problem with that if you could skip over them entirely (which I usually do anyway). Unfortunately, a player is not always given that option as is the case of an door lock that you have to open in order to proceed in the game. It begins with a puzzle which can be skipped... that's not a problem (although the skip button does take a while to fully charge). The next faze is a second puzzle which can also be skipped... again that's not a problem. But the third phase (which relates to the puzzles that a player might have already passed up on) cannot be skipped... so you either figure it out or you stay "stuck". I am terrible when it comes to puzzles, and so when I reached the third phase I wound up having to uninstall the game. One major issue that I have with this game, however, is the fact that it does an especially poor job of saving your progress. I can't tell you how many times I exited the game and logged back into the game, only to discover that it had failed to save my progress from the previous game session. I had to "retrace" my steps on numerous occasions and repeat actions that I had previously done. I don't care how good a game might seem to be. If it doesn't save your forward progress, it isn't a game worth playing (I did an uninstall/reinstall of the game, but that didn't correct the problem). In my opinion, this game is a real downer. I was disappointed I was so excited to see this game as i really loved the first instalment however i as began to play,it seemed to be lacking the excitement i felt when playing the first one. The puzzles were to easy! The graphics were great but storyline is where i believe this game lost me. The story started off interesting however the end was the biggest disappointment for me. I wont spoil it but game creators could of done something better than that. I think if your new to HO adventure games then this one would be perfect for you however to understand the story you will need to play the first one and this one then might disappoint you. Strange game If you like weird stuff that doesn't make any sense at all, then this game is for you. I don't, so I couldn't even stand to finish the demo. The game is well designed it seems, but the HOS are difficult. Others seem to like it, so I suggest trying the demo first for sure. December 31, 2012
How Awful ! This seems to be a kid's game immersed in a very dark adult theme. Death, destruction and fear don't make for a good time. This game is slow and unattractive. Barely pushed my way through the demo. January 2, 2013
not for me ..too scary A bit to scary for me .I was to worried about the girls safety.but then I am A SOFFTEE thinks, lots will love this game .not before bedtime I cant sleep.. January 14, 2013
Totally Slow Disappointing Game I tried this game for the 60 minutes, and it spent so much time running in circles, I couldn't even focus on the storyline (which was pretty stupid anyway)....Yes, they used more color in the graphics, but the hidden object scenes had a lot of hidden objects that didn't even resemble the actual object much.....which is a BF method, either they do the objects in so much grey or they make some stupid drawing that looks nothing like an object that we see....I don't know...if you want this, wait for SE....for me, I won't even be buying that version!!! Yawn! Had high hopes for this game because I enjoyed the first one very much. But these were dashed. This was a dark and dreary game. And, not only was it slow in terms of story line, it was sooo slooow in terms of game play. Never before have I played a game where I felt I had to click several times to open or close a window or to navigate between locations. I downloaded the demo and tried playing the game three times hoping the slowness was just a temporary glitch but it wasn't. I don't like being held hostage by game developers who think they should be in charge of how long you have to look at their genius-inspired artwork. As far as the story line goes, it was just more of the same we've been getting lately. But storyline was never that important to me. I like a game that has a nice flow and just felt this one bogged down interminately. January 3, 2013
