Not What I'd Hoped For... A new Fairway? Yea! Unfortunately, there's not much new here - slightly spiffed up graphics, e.g the Birdies, Eagles etc. have a bit of sparkle to them.. Reworked menu system a tad confusing - took a while to find the Options button. Courses seem a bit easier, but then I've played a LOT of Fairway. Commentators are about the same, amusing at times. Loved the opening 'historical' gopher vs golf movie scene. Too bad they didn't continue that, updating the other gopher movies. But the big gripe: literally paying for stuff in the Golf Shop? Come on, if you buy the game, you shouldn't have to spend more each time you play it! Overall, fun game in the Fairway series, but I won't be using the Golf Shop much. June 4, 2013
My New Go-To Solitaire Game I played this game last night for more hours than I care to admit, and I have to say that this is the first free-to-play game that I've tried that lives up to the claim. The graphics and basic gameplay are smooth. You can play a relaxing version of the game, with no penalty for repeating golf games until you beat a course by getting a certain score. Playing like this, I never encountered a single request to turn over cold hard cash to continue playing. I picked up plenty of special items within the game, but didn't really need them. I racked up quite a few 'golf bucks,' but have yet to feel the need to spend any. However, you can also up your game by getting competitive on your scoring--coming in all under par, that sort of thing. While I can see that style of play leading to the need to purchase stuff, you'd still have the alternative of playing in a more relaxed style to accumulate 'golf bucks' rather than buying them. The game has lots of nice little details that would mean more to someone who actually golfs, but you don't need to understand them to enjoy the game. I agree with other reviewers that the gopher is cute and funny. I've been grumpy that Windows 8 takes forever to load its solitaire 'app', and then keeps asking you to watch advertising. Fairway Free-to-Play loads quickly and plays with no interruptions. It just became my go-to solitaire game. June 7, 2013
Fun Game I liked this game. Fun to play and the gopher was hilarious. I didn't find any real difference between this game and the collectors addition other than the speed rounds. I played up to the addition packs which can be purchased with the GB bucks. you can play the game without spending any real money. If this game was available before I purchased the collectors addition, I would not have purchased it. June 6, 2013
golfing hidden object game I liked the game it has a good fun element slow to get my interest at first but further into the game as it becomes more challenging ,I am enjoying the game and looking forward to completing the higher levels June 6, 2013
Great Game Again I enjoyed it as much as Fairway and Fairway Solitaire. June 5, 2013
Too Loud! I have played all the Fairway Golf solitaires and this one is fun and cute and challenging--However the voice and sounds are just too loud for my comfort! Visuals are wonderful Just the sound is too much! Why isn't there a control on that???? June 5, 2013
Fairway Solitaire:Tee to Play Game is fun but,a little easy.. June 5, 2013
Fairway Solitaire, The sequel I have enjoyed the first Fairway Solitaire since it was introduced several years ago. I purchased it and since when I need a go-to game, it is one of the first I think of. Challenging but relaxing; goofy yet endearing. This new upgrade is simply that. A new twist on a great game. Visually better, but very similar. I have thought for several years, BFG should give us the opportunity to upgrade our existing versions at a reduced price... Not to trade out the old and trusted version, but expand with the new and improved! June 4, 2013
Good game for short play times! This is a good game for when you only have a few minutes. Doesn't require a lot of concentration or time to get into the game play. Enjoyed the environmental sounds taking you out of doors and into nature. Good game. June 4, 2013
