uh... it was ok I've played a lot of games and this one was one of the few I found disappointing. I can't quite pinpoint it, but it didn't have the quality of graphics that other games do, and that's part of what appeals to me. And, I couldn't get out of a few things very well. I wish I hadn't spent the big bucks on it. May 16, 2013
Quit with the yakking, already! I found the graphics blurry, the voice overs annoying and the dialogue WAY too long. I chose not to use the tutorial but it still interrupted me with irritating hints. You cannot skip the talking although you can skip the cutscenes. Also, there are a lot of HO scenes and the sparkles to indicate them are really small, so you think you are just walking forward to explore but you open an HO instead...really bugged me! There is a map, but it is not interactive; the hint system refills quickly but is not directional, it actually just tells you what to do next...don't like that. The mini games were very simple...not much fun there. All in all this is a miss for me. May 10, 2013
This is a movie, not a puzzle game. I realize that I may not be typical, but I come to these games because I like puzzles. I feel that cutscenes and dialogue are a necessary evil that must be endured to get to the good stuff, the meat of a game, the puzzle that you have to figure out. For me, the ideal game leaves me with an inventory full of objects, a list of problems to solve, and hints available if and only if I ask for them, as I try to figure out what to do. By these standards, this is not a game. This is someone's movie that they wanted to make, and in which they allow you, the player, to occasionally click on something, but only after multiple cutscenes and dialogues (most unskippable) and tons of overhelping that you cannot turn off. Maybe this is good for some people, but I wish there were a way to flag these games as some other genre than "puzzle" or "adventure". June 18, 2013
Why others say it's blah. Lack of interaction due to too few characters is why people rate this game lower. You are stranded on your home island, a two-headed wizard and spirits the only beings you communicate with. It does not have a lot of characters the way ERS and Elephant games have. The ending is lovable though. I bought this only for the Zem game which is in the collector's edition only. May 28, 2013
Based on 30 min demo (I couldn't make 1 hour) I didn't even make it through the one hour demo, I was so bored by this game I had to quit. Graphics are very poor, thus making the game not very enjoyable, and HO scenes pretty irritating. I love some level of challenge, but there's a fine line between "challenging" and "frustrating", and this game crossed it. Moreover, you almost cannot skip the cutscenes. Let me point out that this would be even ok to me, if they happened to be somehow pleasant, but this is not the case. Cutscenes and dialogues are very slow and dull; just not worth watching. There's a lot of repetition and useless hints, too. My advice: don't buy this game. June 3, 2013
Graphics Blurry Too easy. Most cutscenes are "un-skipable". 2 minute stretch when it took over with cutscenes I could not skip. I had help turned off and it still gave hints, even how to back out of scene. May 10, 2013
Boring I played some of the boring. Do not waste time on the demo. Sleeper type of game..Big Fish can do better than this.... May 10, 2013
Complete waste of time Dialogue is horribly annoying. May 10, 2013
