AN SE WITH ONLY MORPHING OBJECTS TO RECOMMEND IT Yes, this game is an SE containing 36 morphing objects whch, by the way, are ridiculously easy to spot. HOWEVER: The graphic quality overall is mediocre, at best. The HOS are very pooryly done and overly numerous junkpiles. Not that they aren't very easy (if you enjoy ending up with eyestrain#. The game's mechanics are ok, but only if you can remember that your inventory can only be opened by clicking on the inventory tab at the top of the box each and every time you need an item. As to the level of challenge, I'm sure it might work for beginners #if they easily tolerate poor quality). I cannot reccomend this game at all for intermediate or expert gamers. There is a JOURNAL, but NO MAP, interactive, jump or otherwise. It contains the usual, optional tutorial. Needless to say, I didn't get very far into the storyline before dumping the game, but you play the part of a woman who's having serious doubts/regrets about buying a house. It made me think, "What? Sight unseen?!" She very quickly senses that something's "wrong/evil (?)" here. In all fairness, I must say that the story could well be intriguing if you can tolerate the poor quality of the graphics/mechanics long enough to learn more about it. The music was an annoying, looping piano score. About me: I've been a fan of HOGs/HOPAs/FROGs (you name it) since their introduction on the market. Had this game been released five (or more) years ago, I may have found it relatively acceptable, but only as a freebie, perhaps. Today, I wouldn't even waste a punch card ticket on it. I'm a person with an ordinary level of patience, but NOT exemplary patience. The aggravating mechanics/poor graphics and overall relatively poor quality of this game had me trashing it in disgust before I finished the demo. By all means, do try it for yourself. There may be more to it than I discovered, but only if you have extremely good eyesight and the patience to tolerate a sub-par game. May 27, 2013
Tried so hard to like it As other reviewers have said, it has so much potential. Personally I loved the soothing, classical music, but hated the 'tension-building' themes and 'spooky' noises - so unnecessary! Graphics were terrible - nearly gave up at the 'bath search' and resorted to some language when a 'mop' turned out to be a rag. When it comes to just clicking on anything 'in case' then something is very wrong. Puzzles were too easy and I don't count cluttered blurry HOs as a challenge. I hope developers take note and redo this as it could be a fantastic game. Even with this weekends offer/a coupon available/a punch card to fill I will not be buying this game. May 27, 2013
Seven little dwarfs ?? I managed to stick it out for 20 minutes, then I had to quit. The graphics are terrible, the music was boring, & all in all , the game was rather confusing. I saw a timer, but wasn't sure what it was for; the HO's were dark & blurry & it seemed like every time you turned around there was another one. I for one, will not recommend this game. May 27, 2013
A frustrating hidden object game A decent game if you can get it on sale but also frustrating as needed objects are sometimes hard to spot and I found some of the in game instructions needed to be a little clearer. June 10, 2013
Ugh My biggest problem with this game was that the graphics in the HOS's were mushy and indistinct, some so blurred that I couldn't tell what they were. I hated the fact that every time I needed an inventory object, I couldn't just mouse over the inventory, I had to actually click to open it. So checking your inventory quickly to see if you needed something in a room wasn't quick. Not having it open on the screen all the time meant that my poor brain kept forgetting what I had. I won't buy this one. June 8, 2013
Not very good This game is cumbersome, with very poor response time, and it quickly became tedious. I couldn't tell much about the plot because I just got tired of trying to make it do what I wanted. There are many other better hidden object games. June 2, 2013
The worst game ever Terrible. I did not see the point. Find the gnomes. but don't take them. Wish I had not purchased, almost didn't because of tech. issues. no tech issues just bad very abrupt ending! June 4, 2014
Needs more work This game has the makings of a good game. The graphics are good but it kept crashing. Had to keep restarting the game and that was just the free trial. If the bugs got worked out I would buy it. May 28, 2014
very frustrating went thru at casual level and never used so many hints in any game. even after using hint had hard time figuring out what was required to proceed. usually play games in 1 day took a long time to complete as had to stop for days as to frustrated and no help from forums, which I went to several times. Couldn't get items to work a lot. July 28, 2013
hog lovers only i spent my hour doing horrible hos to many and blurry for my taste... then some no heads or tail mini games maybe one i like . you have no idea were you are going or why. i never spend to much attention to the stories more interested in mini games . to me hos should have a skip button. try it you'll see May 27, 2013
