Chronicles of Albian 2: The Wizbury School of Magic
If you liked the first Chronicles of Albian, you will love this game! It is beautifully crafted and is so entertaining with many surprising aspects to discover throughout the game.
In my opinion, the few negative reviews are not indicative of the game since most of them were after only 10 or 20 minutes of play, and that is not enough for a fair trial of a layered and complex game such as this game (or, in fact, most games).
The graphics are clear, the music is wonderful, the characters are fun and the voiceovers are outstanding. There is some interactivity in both the HOs and the storyline. One of my favorite things is finding the lovely gems scattered around in each scene. (Tip: Read the credits all the way through for a small surprise.)
This game is very long and has many bonus features. So try it for yourself and see just how delightful it truly is.

Whimsical, beautiful fun
Enhanced and modernized sequel to Chronicles of Albian. So far even better, based on 60 minute trial. A definate buy.
A lot going on. Funny characters. Love the style of hand-drawn art.
I just hope Grandma Gwendolyn doesn't harass me to buy the most expensive upgrades like she did late in the 1st game!
So if you're looking for bright, pretty fun instead of grim, check it out.

Very fun and unique game
I was surprised by how much unique stuff this game does. I thought it would be another HOPA, but it's not really. First...you don't click to move around the environment like a typical HOPA, so you're limited only to the important scenes that you need in the current chapter which you can access via the map. It really helps eliminate the feeling of constantly being lost.
It also combines the HO scenes with the adventure scenes so you're basically doing both at the same time instead of switching back and forth between them, which is clever and a bit more streamlined.
The story is somewhat simple (not dark and gloomy), but the voice-overs are VERY well done and it's a lot of fun to meet the various characters. Most game voices come across as very cheesy to me, but these ones just seem extremely professional.
They have a neat thing called BONUS GOALS which are special things you can try to achieve for extra gold. You don't know how to do them until you achieve them for the first time, but it gives you a hint how to do each one. Very fun.
Graphics a very nice and crisp (though some items are occasionally small and tough to see). LOTS of good puzzles. Tons of scenes. I think I'm near the end now, and it's a lot of fun. Highly recommended.

Great Fun, Nice Change of Pace
I really enjoyed both the mechanics and the story here. I'm not sure why some people refer to it as a kids game- while it isn't full of murder and blood like a lot of the other games here, the humor and story made it a lot of fun for me (and I am sadly far from being a kid). I think it is nice to explore a sotry that isn't all gloom and doom.
The HO scenes are well done, and have objectives, hidden gems, and lots of interactivity to them. Even when you replay a scene there is a whole new slate of objects and even occasional puzzles woven in to make it seem fresh and new.
Between learning spells, finding objects, exploring the castle, selling items, and upgrading the castle there is a ton to do. I'm through the trial and don't feel like I am all that far into the game...definitely a by for me.

A worthy sequel to the original Chronicles of Albian!
I really enjoyed the first Chronicles of Albian, so I was very excited to see this new sequel. It does not disappoint--fun characters, snappy dialogue, challenging HOG scenes and additional puzzles/mini-games, and an interesting story line to boot! I haven't yet finished the game, but am looking forward to a fun week of seeking hidden objects, putting together clues from the puzzles, and seeing the story through to the end.

I am so weary of all the dark games! I enjoy suspense thrillers, but not a steady diet of them. This game was enjoyable fun, a good stress-release. Not too babyish (it seems like games are either dark & sinister or for children!)
The only thing I objected to was it constantly asking me if I wanted to "upgrade". NO I did not, but a little annoying. Otherwise great fun.

I really enjoyed the first installment of the Chronicles of Albian, so I was more than excited to find the sequel!
The storyline was fantastic...tons of wacky characters, interesting quests and challenging puzzles. A variety of scenes kept the game fresh and entertaining.
A nice added bonus is the Seek & Sprint mode. You are given a certain amount of time to find objects throughout many of the scenes. Not only was it fun to revisit the scenes from the game, it was challenging too!

Great Game 2
This game combines 3 of my favorite games to play. Hidden Object, tasks to complete with collection items for inventory, and you earn money to remodel the castle. I am enjoying this game alot and it is very different than the first one. This game seems to be more challenging that the first one. I played the demo for about 45 minutes they used a game credit to purchase.
The graphics are nice although some items are small, sound wise I have turned it down so I can't comment on that part.

another great "chronicles" game
you are called to the wizardry school to find out who has stolen the gold. hint/skip charge pretty fast. there is a diary. played casual, low sound. there is a "click" penalty of not being able to control the cursor for a short time. graphics are really great!!! sequel????? i believe so.
