Namariel Legends: Iron Lord
I read some reviews before I downloaded this game and honestly, I felt pretty mislead. From reading the reviews I did know going into this game that it was not a HOV and while I do enjoy those, I thought maybe I'd give this a whirl anyways due to the fact that so many "experts" claimed that the game was still challenging. My 8 year old daughter beat this game on expert with no problem and even she thought this game was pretty pathetic. I guess that makes her an expert too...? This game was WAY TOO easy. Sure, a few of the mini-games took a few minutes to figure out but even on expert level they spell out what you have to do which I completely hate. The background imagery was pleasant to the eye but the animation was lame and out of date. The speech and voice actors they used were 100% wrong and laughable.
Skip this game if you are not a beginner.

Kitty's Thoughts: Just Screw the Story and You'll be Fine
Okay, before I start..., I like to tell you the truth. I tried to like the game. I really did, but the game didn't give me a good reason to like it. It's Sad to say, huh,,, so let's get started on the hourly review (yes, I actually played a full hour).
Let's start off with the story line. This is the funny part. You can just tell you are already yanked out of this game just by the time you press that play button. When you get to the story sequence, you're already being yanked left and right. The narrator talks to fast, and everything was happening so quick that you can't even appreciate the mood it was trying to create. You kinda question yourself if the story was worth listening to or really that bad if they can zip through it this quickly. I know people have short attention span, but you can't quick up on the story part and expect people to enjoy it. Basically, the story is pretty simple. A kingdom is being taken over by an evil iron lord. Now, you're the older princess (assuming you don't know yet as the character keeps talking like she doesn't know). Overall, you are the girl destined to save your kingdom any way possible. Which I could of enjoyed the story more, if it didn't zip past me in the beginning. Furthermore, everyone who's talking is the same way, they go really fast, and sometimes they would cut off at the end. Don't believe me, play it and you will see. I was hoping that they would at least give you a chance to care for the inventor, but because of the fast talking and cut off. I couldn't care that I was leaving him in prison. So, if story is what you're desiring in this game. FORGET IT! You're better off not caring to get the enjoyment in this game.
Another thing I would like to discuss is the challenge. The game is not that hard. I did find maybe a few difficulties, but sometimes I ran into puzzles that I magically solved just by 2 clicks and wonder "what on earth did I do to solve it". Yeah, that's how easy this game could get. Where you solve the puzzle without even knowing you did. In the end, I was guessing the level of this is more geared to kids and teenagers. Adults can enjoy it, but I'm not promising good results. I did find few fun moments in the puzzles, so challenge is on the okay range. This game could be more interactive and fun if they put in more effort. People are telling the truth that this game has no hidden object scenes, and the objects you find are in the scene to solve the puzzles. I will give it a plus for that.
Next on the list is the Visuals and Sounds. Which I say, is also in the okay range. I get a 50% like or dislike between the 3d animation and the actual painted backgrounds. I like the painted backgrounds a lot more than the 3d animation pulled off in this game. Furthermore, I think in the story, the 3d animation was a bit choppy, and much was desired on the 3d look. They could of done more. The talking is also choppy as well. In the end, you notice the mouth movements was not matching the talking. That's pretty cheap. I'd rather have no mouth movement than the pretending to talk mouth movement in this case. Especially, they were talking too fast and the mouth movements was slow. Overall, the backgrounds don't disappoint.
And finally, we are getting to the fun factor which is the second lowest. Even though I said I found fun moments, there was only a few of those sadly. I kinda find myself not really caring that much in this game. In the end, it let me wonder... "Why am I playing this if I don't care?" With the combination of bad animation, okay challenge, zipping story line. I just couldn't feel the mood in this game. I will inform you that this is another princess game, and I feel sadden that this princess game..... I mean geez.... make me feel proud that I am a rouge princess and caring to save my own kingdom.... I don't even get that. I usually like hidden opject puzzle adventure with no hidden object scenes, but man... it didn't pull off.
In the end, I really wanted to give this game a 3 star for okay strike, but I had to give it a 2. If they're not willing to put the effort to make a good game, it doesn't even deserve the decency of the 3.

Hidden objects? Seems more just puzzles and lame ones at that! Quit the game after I realized that it is not a hidden object game, if there is a another of this type I will not buy it.
