At Best, OK Again, too many cut scenes and annoying music. Can't anybody put more material and less garbage in their games anymore? July 2, 2013
It looks, feels, plays and sounds just like the first one of the series. A total rip-off and, thus, a total disappointment. This was awful and very disappointing. Time wasted, really, and I was eager to play it when I heard that it was coming out. This game is a carbon copy of the first "Living Legends". It feels very shallow, and doesn't have a heart or life to it. If you play "Ice Rose" and then play this one, there's absolutely no difference except that this one has a ridiculous storyline and script. (On how the poisoned apples tree can only be destroyed by fire): "Too bad I stole all their oil cans": Really?! The only redeeming qualities I can point out are the achievements and your squirrel friend, and those you don't even get in the standard edition. There's nothing more to say. The "game" itself is the problem. If they ever come up with a third entry in the series, I won't play it. Definitely. Sorry for the short review, but this game doesn't deserve more. If you played "Ice Rose" first, then I don't recommend this game for you because I think you will be let down. August 27, 2013
Sorry guys, I'm just not 9 any more... Played the demo...Good graphics, nice voice overs, super easy puzzles. Good game for younger players or the beginner. Story line and content more fitting for children. I think Big Fish needs to start labeling games. Ones for adults , for children, for beginners, intermediate and expert. I am wasting too much time trying out games for kids. June 21, 2013
I Hate To Be The One To Disagree, But... This game was so poor compared to its predecessor Ice Rose. Everything about it was worse than last time. It was as if some other developer had taken it over? The story was pretty much the only decent thing of the game. It involves legends such as the Snow Queen and Snow White, adding frozen elements to it. The cutscene at the beginning drew me in a little, and the timeline had a chronological sequence to it. The story was well thought of and a unique twist, but was not as good as Ice Rose. The HOS were good, and I enjoyed their challenge. The HOS included a number of extra step objects, and there was even one with silhouette objects. The scenes were clear, so finding things was not much of a problem graphic-wise. One thing I noticed about the extra step objects: They were highlighted in orange, however when you did the first step of finding them, the colour did not change. This left me confused for a while as I wasn?t sure if I?d completed the first step yet. The puzzles were very challenging for me, and I found myself waiting for the skip to charge. Some puzzles weren?t able to be skipped (for example, the circle one) and I had to refer to the strategy guide for solutions. The graphics were good and the artwork was done well and had some great detail to it. The graphics were what you?d expect from a 2013 game and from someone who had made Ice Rose. Voice-overs were standard, what you?d expect. You can?t really judge the developer for these. FEATURES - Hint and skip- Both take a little too long to recharge on Casual, but they are still helpful. - Diary to keep track of events. Diary also holds clues to puzzles. - Map is interactive - Collectable coins to upgrade stuff for your pet, which you acquire early in the game. I didn?t really explore this much as I wanted to focus on the game. - Achievements (unsure if this is CE Exclusive) - Built-in Strategy Guide (CE Exclusive) The Bonus Content is unlockable at the end of the main game and includes: - Bonus chapter - Screensavers - Wallpapers - Music (play the music of the game) - Concept Art - Movies (replay movies of the game) - Puzzles (replay the puzzles of the game) - Hidden Objects (replay the HOS of the game) This review seems full of comparisons to Ice Rose, but that?s what a sequel review is for me. In comparison, this game is very poor and really not worth the time or money. I won?t even wait for the CE. I am very disappointed? June 14, 2013
Just because its a new game, doesn't make it a good game... This game was so predictable while playing, that the only reason it needs you to play it, is to do the clicking. The Evil snow queen stole you sister and froze every thing (yawn). I can't even recommend this game to a beginner, I would insult your intelligence. The only thing this game had going for it was ending. July 31, 2013
