Nice Change of Pace I was in the middle of a puzzle and my demo time ran out. No!!! That is how engrossed I was with this game. It started with the background of the previous game (which I thought was a tad too long) and moved into the basic game play which gradually became more involved game play. The graphics were okay, not great, but that didn't detract from the game for me. I figured it is what it is. The actual game itself was very intriguing so I hardly noticed the graininess others have mentioned. I will say the developers might have done better with them since they put so much into the appearance of the characters. The constant ocean sounds were a bit off-putting, but again, the game played very well so I can overlook that. The HOS were just difficult enough to challenge me and it was nice to have a choice between that and a memory game in order to complete them. And as you may have guessed, the puzzles were not a slam dunk and I was very pleased with them. Some were rather easy, others not so much. Overall, I really enjoyed the game, the extras like morphing objects, and the achievements. The imp was weird looking but useful. Try for yourself, as always, but I think this one is a winner. Very Good Game! I played the demo first, then waited a few days to buy it so I could see if there would be any discounts over this week-end. I'm glad I waited since there is/was! I took advantage of that and bought two CE games, getting another freebie. This game is enjoyable, the graphics are fantastic, and so are the animations. I liked the way the characters looked, and for once the wicked witch was beautiful instead of looking like an old crone. There were many different characters to meet, and I love the little imp that you take everywhere with you and he does different tasks for you. You play in different modes, and I played in casual. There's an interactive map, and a journal, the HOS are not hard and there's interaction in those, too. I managed to play all the HOS without a hint, so I can't say much about the hint. The hint will point out an area of something you should do, and also show an arrow telling which way to go. I didn't use that too often because the interactive map tells you where there's still action to do and transports you there. Plenty of mini games and I did have to skip a few...I've seen most of those before, and some I'm really getting tired of, so I skipped those, too. You collect puzzle pieces, and morph items, some are hard to find later on in the game. I really can't say much about the music because at some point I turned it off. I usually do. I loved the way they did the ending, I don't want to give it away, but you do something quite different that I've never seen in a game ending before. Interesting! Also, the ending lets you know that the evil witch would be back again eventually. Most of them do come back, so that's no surprise. I will play this game again sometime because I liked it enough to do that. I will say, though, that just once I'd like to see a game that lets you go through a door or open a cupboard, or a chest, without needing a key! The key thing is getting old. Although, in this game the keys were different objects at times, but you still needed it to get in. It would be very refreshing to put the keys to rest! At least some of them. This game has a lot to offer, so I think you'll like it. June 30, 2013
Witches? Legacy is back Wow, fantastic HOPA with lovely gameplay, touching story, mind-boggling puzzles and HOS and this amiable imp. I can?t but mention the difficulty modes with a special custom mode to adjust click penalty, sparkles and hint. Applause to sound presentation: seems to be the best of all the games I have played lately. July 23, 2013
Excellent even with all the back searching The characters were great. The little creature I named Zong was so cute to watch when helping me retrieve things. Game had just about everything from interactive map to collecting puzzle pieces and Morphing objects. My only complaint was if in a area that needed work, but I had not found the object to use in that area. The hint button would indicate the area needing something done even though I did not have all the pieces yet. Like duh I know what I need to do hear, but can not find the next item to get me to work the area. July 8, 2013
Great Game with LOTS to do Been awhile since I've given four stars; makes for a pleasant change to have really enjoyed one of my purchases. Lots of disappointments lately. This is a packed game with multiple collectibles, lots of sites, a critically needed and very good interactive map plus a decent storyline. While many of the puzzles were relatively easy (not horribly so) there were one or two requiring extra effort. All were doable so no frustration; none were just the busy work so often seen these days. All in all a very satisfying several hours (lots of play time). June 30, 2013
Liked it very much! This was a great game! Very nice scenes, the sound less good, though it didn't really break the immersion, easy (some may not like it, I actually like easy games where I can progress quickly) and straightforward. The game played smoothly, little Imp friend is fantastically animated, well done developers! The only thing that didn't let me give it 5 stars are too many bugs - flickering things in zoom ins, or objects that reappear (such as mechanical robot - you kill it and in the last frame it appears again), zooms that won't close when I'm done with them - and why why why didn't they put a fade in and out between scenes - every time i go to another scene I felt like the game has crashed or my trial expired with that sudden black screen. If that was fixed, this would be a 5 star game. Anyway, I really like the game itself, and I highly recommend it. June 29, 2013
Demo only The story by Elfun continues with Lynn and Elizabeth and the inheritance of power and the destruction of the family with Lynn trying to find out more information. The storyline was very good but didn't grip me to the point of having to make this purchase on this very day. Not to say I won't purchase it today, but concluded demo first. There are so many things that are great about this game. HOS could be alternated with a matching game which was fun, you have an imp that you can name who you have 10 quests with, finding beyond objects (42#, jigsaw puzzles pieces #45), an interactive map, and your normal type extras. Visually it was well done, but on the dark side with somethings difficult to see. Overall I had a very good time during the demo hour. June 27, 2013
Grainy Graphics. Admit I only played the demo. Liked the story, puzzles and HOs. The imp was not of the cutie variety. But, the grainy, though well drawn, graphics put me off. I liked the game, but don't think I can get past the graphics. Do recommend for those who can. June 27, 2013
sallyannep the game moved along at a good rate. the graphics were clear and the story line was also good. I found the small helper useful. June 27, 2013
