Fun overall game I really liked the music in this game, which I usually mute, the graphics in the scenes were great, and the voice overs matched the characters. I also liked searching for the pelican flamingo in every different scene! Fun! July 9, 2013
Not too bad, not too good After playing the demo all I can say is that there are not much particular PROS and also not so much CONS to this game. The game looks quite nice, not something extremely artistic, though the whole setting of ancient China looks quite exotic and nice itself. Characters look really bad, though their animation while talking was quite good. The story didn't drive me, it was quite straightforward with no real threats of any kind during the demo. Game difficulty was also very low, with no real challenges. All these things mentioned above were not that bad either, and the game could certainly get 4 stars for me if there wasn't one thing - too many HOS. From the first moment when I entered the first scene and there were sparkles signalizing HOS I said to myself "oh, I hope it won't be the case throughout whole game", but it was. Extremely boring, and that's why the game gets 3 stars from me. Beside that. everything is average, as I said in the title - just not too bad and not too good. July 6, 2013
Will you heal the Emperor's son ? Nasty plot going on.... Played 50 minutes, casual - 3 modes, casual, challenging, insane - Integrated SG which only shows 2 chapters - Voice overs - Note book looking like a scroll at the bottom left of your screen - Interactive map showing places of interest in your note book or click on the compass next to it - Quite a few cut scenes - Your objectives show up - 26 achievements, no skip in H0, quick search, etc... In order to see them, click on the cup at the bottom right of your screen - 41 cranes to find throughout the game - Shortly after playing you get a healer kit, where you make your potions, each time it's a kind of mini game, quite fun - Hint is really useful outside H0, takes you to the place where you need to perform an action - Interactive H0, sometimes silhouettes, you can swap for a mahjong game - Interesting mini games, some new - Good graphics - Music is a mixture of Chinese and European music In order to weaken the Emperor and get rid of him, his son is attacked by a mysterious illness. You're the best Chinese healer, will you save the Emperor' son and solve the evil plot ???? This game is a good game but somehow I never managed to enter it completely, it didn't grab me at all but I'm sure a lot of people will enjoy it. June 29, 2013
Short & Too Easy I had very high expectations based on the reviews but I found the game to be too short and way too easy. I played in Insane mode and finished the game in under 3 hours and that includes the bonus. The graphics are very good and it has a great storyline but there's no challenge in the puzzles. This is a good game for beginners. July 5, 2013
So-So Game You play as a Chinese healer enlisted to cure the Emperor's son. Game play is very straight forward. The HOS are okay, more difficult in the bonus chapter than the main game. The mini games are okay, nothing unique or too difficult. I became bored with them and used the skip button a lot. There is a map which I never used. You also have a journal that does come in handy a time or two. The graphics are okay, the voice overs are well done, the animation is not good and there are a million cut scenes. The "healer's kit" was a huge disappointment for me. I thought it would be mixing various items to make a "potion" but it wasn't. The bonus chapter was okay and gave a proper ending to the story. I wanted to like this game and should have done a demo prior to purchasing. It is definitely not worth the price of a CE. If you are looking for an easy game, this would fit that bill. Just don't expect too much out of it. August 11, 2013
Oriental setting is lovely Nice change from the usual Victorian settings - beautiful graphics. The games are varied but fairly easy. The best part of the game is the different items hidden and used. July 4, 2013
not a challenge way too easy...not a challenge at all. Fun if you don't want to stretch yourself.. October 18, 2013
Made A Mistake!!! I knew when I played the trial it, was not for me. Only because of the graphs and scenery. Members try it. Most reviews are very positive. July 6, 2013
Chinese Healer - Needs a doctor Know I'm in the minority, but found this game far too simplistic and, also, somewhat boring. Do not like to give negative reviews, but definitely did not like it. Played almost entire demo. If I were desperate and the SE came out, I'd probably use a free game. Not for me. June 30, 2013
Good but not Great I felt this game had a lot of promise but fell short. I liked the healer's kit, even though it got a bit monotonous. The puzzles were super easy and there were too many HOS. I was especially disappointed at the end of the bonus chapter when having to defeat the Demon and Lei. Without revealing the ending for those that haven't played yet; with a little imagination, it could have been so much more fun than that! An example of exciting endings would be the Rite of Passage: Children of the Forest Collector's Edition. My heart was thumping!! Sorry, a good effort but missed the mark to be a "great" game.
