Nightmares from the Deep: The Siren`s Call is the sequel of the smash hit Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart. It is an epic adventure story with an exciting plot, outstanding puzzles, and unforeseeable depths of twists and turns. When Sarah Black, the curator of the Caribbean Naval Museum, receives a package from a mysterious messenger, she is unwittingly drawn into an ancient conflict. Moments after she opens the package to reveal an artifact, assailants descend on the museum and rob her of it. She can hardly believe that this is the beginning of a new nightmare from the deep! After blacking out in the museum, Sarah finds herself on the shores of Kingsmouth, a forgotten fishing town with an incredible secret. The would-be messenger reveals the sad truth: he and the rest of the town’s denizens are suffering from a curse that is gradually turning them into aquatic creatures. A curse that was cast by two powerful beings: the mayor, Murray, and the sea-devil: Davy Jones.

Better than the first one.... Stunning graphics, cut-scenes, and voice-overs. This game had all the essentials for a CE qualification. Achievements to earn and plenty of collectibles to gather. A couple of different varieties of hidden object games, and a few varieties of puzzle games - although all the puzzles were way too easy. Story flowed well and was a good length. Bonus chapter followed on from main game but wasn't essential to the story line. Was a bit on the short side. Definitely recommend this game, and would lean towards to CE version if not for the bonus chapter, then for the bonus collectibles. August 18, 2013
Really Outstanding Game I love this game. There are lots of cut scenes, which usually I'm not a fan of, but these are great. It's like an interactive movie, almost. I really liked the first game, and this one is just as good, to me. Pros: + The story is interesting. Yes, you're saving someone, but it has a twist. Background story is told in the same way as in the first game, by giving coins you find to a storytelling character. + Wonderful graphics. + Excellent music. Excellent voice overs. + H0 scenes are interactive, and some are the kind where you find an item, use it on another item, repeat, and then those have mini-puzzles within them. Very good! + Puzzles are excellent. Many of them are new takes on old puzzles, and some are a combination of different puzzle types. + There is a jump map. + There are loads of different collectibles, morphing items, etc. + Achievements. The achievements area in the game is very well done. There are areas to see all of the collectibles, an area for story-based achievements, and then an area for puzzle, hidden object, and mahjong achievements. + Added to that, some collectibles require you to do little interactions, which is cool. + You can play a game of mahjong instead of doing a hidden object scene. + There is an awesome amount of detail in the little things in the game, like the last one. Pamphlets are readable, you can look at certain pages of books, read some newspaper columns from leftover papers, etc. None of it seems to be crucial to finishing the game or getting clues, but it's still really neat to me. Cons: - There are a few scenes that are a little too dark. - Some collectibles seem to become available only after you've done certain things in the game (I think), so you have to backtrack to get them. I could be wrong about this, though. All in all, this is an excellent game. There's a ton to see, do, and collect. The puzzles are actually interesting, and the story gets more and more interesting the more you play. July 25, 2013
Not at all Disappointing I was not disappointed at all with this sequel. The graphics were done very well. The story line was fine and so were the voice over's. Puzzles were challenging and the map worked well. The game did not lag to where one would become bored with it or frustrated. I am always excited when a Nightmare game comes out. They do a fine job on their games. I have all their games and will buy this one too. July 26, 2013
Loved it!! I also loved the first game in this series (I hope it will be a series) and finished the Demo on this one and thought it was terrific. Held my interest all the way through and left me wanting more. Great story line, music, graphics to die for, characters you like/dislike right away, everything is set for a really great game. The games are fun and interactive. Not just hidden objects. As normal you must find some extra's in the CE. I normally don't buy CE's but I may make an exception for this one. Just have to know the end. I hope you enjoy it as much as I will. July 25, 2013
Could not stop playing I loved the game. It kept me interested throughout and to the bonus end. Graphics were detailed and beautifully done, voice over was good, but you could opt out. Several morphing objects to find during the game.Sea horse, owl, octopus, parrot. And I really liked the different types of extras. Instead of HO over and over, you get an assortment of different games. Or the choice of Majong. I finished it in 1 day, just because I could not stop playing!! Enjoy!! August 1, 2013
Another Great Game In This Series ... Great Graphics, Sound, Visuals, Effects, Video & Voice Bits ... An All Round Great Follow Up On The Last Game, And The Main Game Was Decent In Length ... The HOS Were Nice And Varied, The Puzzles Also Interesting ... As Is Often The Case I Found The Extra Bonus Game To Be A Bit Short, But It Does Provide A Nice Conclusion To The Story ... I Got Mine At A Sale Price, So I'm Pretty Happy With The Extra Value At The Right Price ... July 28, 2013
Nightmares from the Deep: THe Siren's Call Collector's Edition This was an awesome game. I loved the game because of the hidden objects that opened the story further. Unfortunately the game came to an end but the bonus was just as good! I am looking forward to a follow up game? July 27, 2013
So Tempting I have the previous 2 in this sequence of games and this one is an excellent follow up. The map is very easy to jump around which makes the game flow with ease. The graphics, storyline, HO scenes plus many extras as you will find as you play.and several collectables to be found. Yes this is a very good game, even the demo is brilliant and for me too short. I enjoyed it and it is a buy for me. July 25, 2013
DO YOU...HAVE...SOMETHING FOR ME? Genius from beginning to end. A great game you can't stop playing once you start. Didn't think these Devs could improve from the 1st sequel, however, the story line went into a different direction yet dove tailed with the 1st in the series--"The Cursed Heart". Favor playing a match 3 game in lieu of finding hidden objects especially when stuck finding that last one in hiding! Unique and creative characters abound--a living and breathing Siren from the magical and mystical deep sea--along with another cursed Davy Jones pact. Be forewarned when you decide to sell your soul to the devil for riches, fame and power as he is a liar. Enjoy! -Mama Mia- April 9, 2014
Can't wait for the next one! I played the first one in the series and loved it. "The Siren's Call" was a great challenge and a wonderful story. Playing as the curator from Cursed Heart you're asked to save a mermaid, another victim of Davey Jones curse, from a corrupt ex-pirate mayor. The graphics were beautiful and the voice-overs were well done. I enjoyed searching for the collectables and fast travel from the map made the game much more convenient as there was quite a bit of backtracking. I don't usually enjoy having to backtrack but it made it easier that the journal kept a log of uncompleted tasks. I think that there was a good mix of puzzles and HOS. There were different types of HOS as well, including FROGS, interactive, shadow, and the usual list. There was an additional feature to the HOS. You have the option to play a game of mahjong to find objects. The HOS weren't difficult but there were a few puzzles that proved challenging but for the most part were rather easy. I do wish there was a little more the bonus game but for the most part I loved this game and I definitely recommend it! January 8, 2014
