Royal Envoy: Campaign for the Crown Collector's Edition
Is that all?
Huge fan of this game but somehow I thought that it would bring a lot more new things to the table. Reading the reviews it does not seem to be so. I only played for 1 hour but I was not that inpressed. Cute as always graphics and music but other than jumping in the rabbit hole and using the elephant for the water.... really nothing new so far.I also did not like that the game seems to have played in a somewhat less modern time and I liked that but all of a sudden there is TV? I will buy it but I do not think I will buy the CE.

Worth playing for the "Challenge mode" only
Having bought all the previous "Royal Envoy", I was really eager to tackle this one with a fun political twist in the storyline. I did the game adventure/normal way then difficult mode then done all the "challenges" levels....I must say the challenges levels were better than the Adventure Mode....not sure if people who will buy the "normal" version at a later stage will have access to it.
For Expert players the levels were quiet easy to work out to get a gold nearly every single time, I think i had to redo one level several times because of miscalculation on the resources needed , so I would have welcomed some more difficulties there....maybe the series is getting repetitive and therefore slightly boring.
I loved the graphics and the fact that there were hidden treasures under buildings more often, good fun all around.
I think this game would suit "Intermediate level players"better, however I would still recommend it :)

Royal Envoy Fan
I have played all the Royal Envoy series. I have replayed the first two games many times. For some reason this third game has not grabbed my attention. I like the fact that to collect money/food/wood you only have to swipe it and not click on it. They also have a feature this time called a rabbit hole. This is basic teleport feature that moves you between floating land masses. I have found many of the challenges to be simple and a few to be quite challenging. The story line is dumb and there is lots more dialog than I like. I was so excited for another R.E. game. This didn't ring my chimes. If you haven't play R.E. before you will probably enjoy this. I give a qualified recommendation.

Vote for the righteous!
As usual in situations like these (sequels) this game is exactly the same as others in the series, except that the 'backstory' is actually half-way decent, when usually in these type of games there is none or one so obscure it most people just gloss over it.
The mechanics of the game are akin to all the others in the series and the sound bites and music are similar if not identical to others in the series.
If you are new to the series then I would recommend this as you are getting the best bits from others in the series along with a decent(ish) storyline, thus you have nothing to compare it to. If however you have had others in the series then I would seriously recommend the download before buying it 'blind' as other than the storyline there is not really much else going for it.
If you had spare credits then it might be worth a punt (especially if you get it in a sale), but other than that I can't really recommend it.

Third time - for dummies
So, it's the same old Royal Envoy - with new twist in storyline and some cute new little features, but waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too simple. Come on, bring a little challenge! Or at least mark this one as Kid's Game.
Still worth playing though. Maybe because I'm a huge fun of RE I+II.

Not Untimed mode!!!
After reading the first review I foolishly went ahead and bought this game even thought I did not see an option to play untimed. I thought if time ran out I could still continue to finish the level. Not true! Time ran out on a level and I have to replay. I do not usually buy a game without the untimed option and not only did I buy this, but I paid for the Collector's Edition. I went to the forum, thinking I was just overlooking this option, to find out there is no option to play untimed. Not a happy camper!!

NO Untimed Option = NO Sale
I'm sick and tired of Time Management Games with NO "Untimed Option" and I refuse to buy them now because in many cases I cannot finish the Levels - because of the Arthritis in my hands which makes my clicking slow. So I end up playing the same levels over and over again trying to finish in time and where's the fun in that? The Game then just becomes frustrating and I end up quiting without finishing the levels - and that's a waste of money for me.
So no Untimed option = No Sale. What a pity because this Game would have really been enjoyable otherwise.

Looked at the reviews and seen there is no option so you have to play timed. NOT BUYING for that reason
