Nice visuals, but poor storyline and boring gameplay.
My biggest issue with this game was the lack of interesting gameplay development. Every level was a re-hash of the exact same thing, with very few differences. It's "break these blocks" or "drop these items" or unlock these gems", which are the same tired mechanics you see in every match three game. There's only one power-up (not including the usual 4+ match bombs), and for some reason the developers felt they needed to remind you what to do at the start of every new level, even if you'd played that mechanic before.
The storyline wasn't bad, but it was weak and unoriginal. The voice acting was passable, but I probably would have preferred to read text-only dialogue that I could click through at my leisure, since the cut-scenes take far too long.
Overall, I wouldn't pay for this game. If you're really into match-three games and don't mind repetitive gameplay for little reward, then you might get a kick from the quaint art, but if you're easily bored, give this one a miss.

Like another reviewer I was very disappointed on the length of the adventure mode - I was finished in about 1 1/2 hours. The challenge mode is ok with a couple of creative puzzles but not at all why I would purchase a game. Wish I had my punch card back.

the music and the cut scenes are excellent, the story in adventure mode is interesting. each level has a different m3 goal and there are cut scenes between levels to place earned objects and advance the story line. i enjoyed the trial and may pick this game up with a game credit. the level tasks were not that challenging but each level became more difficult. no level task was repeated during my trial so it may continue to become harder as you progress in the game.

Loved the trial so much I bought it! Then finished the "story" a short (and I mean SHORT!) time later! Bummed! You can then play the "challenges" to unlock more free play levels, but that is NOT what I was looking for! Extremely disappointed!

Cute Story Line -- But
Sorry folks, I found this 3-Match to be boring. The story was nice and I loved the little flame, but cannot really recommend this.

Not my cup of tea
I made it through the trial; hoping that I would find something to make me want to buy this game but it never happened. I love most match 3 games. The music was pleasant, the story was ok but the game play became boring too quickly for me. Sorry, but, I can't recommend this game.

I don't understand what is supposed to happen on a lot of the levels. This is a very difficult game......too HARD........

It was OK
To be honest, I only played about 9 minutes of the trial version. I do like a good match 3 game, but this wasn't it (for me). Others may find it interesting and relaxing but it seemed to me that it was very basic. The graphics weren't as crisp as I like.
I wasn't sure what my goal was in the first game so I kept playing until it told me I reached that goal. (I think it was a score of 2000 maybe?) Anyway, when I started the 2nd game it did tell me the objective.
As I said, this was an OK game.

Last level is a stinker
Love match-3 games but the story running through this is far too elaborate with way too much time spent waffling on instead of gameplay. Not many levels as a result. Normally I enjoy the story element of games, but this went on for so long I skipped.
