Cooking Academy: Restaurant Royale
I downloaded this game to my iphone a while back, and I. Can't. STOP!
The thing I love most is how satisfyingly long term this game is. I know all free games are set up the same, but this one does a better job of keeping you occupied for weeks and not feeling like you're going to reach the end prematurely.
My only complaint, and I hope Big Fish does something about this, is that the most expensive, high level table and counters are dumb looking. I want to rise my popularity level but I also want to buy tables and counters that are attractive. The best looking ones are too low level... Please add more tables and counters that are pleasing to the eye and have high level popularity!
I really love this game and I REALLY love how I can plan a strategy that takes me longer to reach the next level, but does not take away the fun at all!

I think this game is so fun. Very similar to the offline games and cooking mama. A good time.

Love....Love....Love this Game!!!!
This game reminds me of the food games on Facebook. I loved those games but didn't like having to beg friends and family for help. I, also, didn't like having to add more people to my friends list in order to play.
This game has a nice amount of challenge. You can play for free. This game has coins and bucks that you use to buy various items. When you run out of bucks, you have to wait until a customer drops one on the table. You can also buy bucks but it costs you real money. There are some dishes that take a long time to cook. The customers get impatient and lower your rating when they complain. They, also, complain when there aren't enough tables for them to eat.
Like the games on Facebook, you had the option of buying money with real money. I never minded doing this because it helps to progress through the game. I always made sure that I budgeted what I bought, so it would last longer. I love this serious but I think this is the best game. I have been looking for something similar to those games I previously mentioned. I look forward to continuing with this game.
Give it a try if you don't mind spending money within the game. Word to the wise, even if you buy bucks within the game, use it wisely. You don't have to spend your bucks on everything. It will last longer if you budget your bucks in order to have a successful game.

I originally didn't like this game on my iPad mini (not sure which version of this it was on my iPad) but reluctantly tried the free version here and so glad that I did! I'm officially addicted to it and play well over 20 times a day. Love this game!

Don't play it for what it isn't
This is an awesome game, particularly when you factor in it is free. Yes, you can buy dollars to speed things up, but unlike some games that offer in-game purchases, this one does not require you to buy the dollars to gain them. You can complete challenges to gain dollars. It takes longer. In some cases, it takes A LOT longer to get to your goals than if you bought your way to them, but this isn't a time management game in the sense of urgency. If you are looking for something to play that forces you to be on your toes every moment of play (and I like those too), don't get this. This is something to obsessively check. This is one of those games for people who have a lot of other things going on, but still want to play a game. Spend 5, 10, 15 minutes on this game, set up your cooking stuff (and the mini-games are fun and varied) and then leave it. Close it, leave it up, whatever you prefer, and your projects progress without you, then come back and play a little more. This is more a cooking game for people who liked Plant and Fish Tycoon, but who hated how the "free" versions forced you to pay for the bucks to progress. It's completely fun, just don't play it like it's a quick thinking time management game and then get upset because its not.
