Huh? When I first started playing this game I was impressed by the graphics and colors. The music was fine, kind of pirate style, I like pirate games. The pirate characters although dressed in the right clothes, were too clean cut, and boyish looking, the voices at first had a nice pirate "aaarrr" to it, but as the game went on, it seemed to diminish, and just fizzled out by the end of the game, the voices not sounding the way you think pirates should, instead of "aaarr matey, thar she blows!", it was; "hello my friend, it's over there". (lol) The story was a bit confusing, I think the objective was to rescue a lad from the hands of a treasure hungry, low life pirate, but again at the end, which came quite abruptly, no mention was made about it. Mix in a love story (I think), Greek mythology story, and catching up with The Baroness, and you have one confusing story line. Just when you think o.k., now we're getting somewhere, the game ends! Boom!!! Roll credits......The h.o. scenes were fine, you can change to match 3 if you want. Very nice visuals, crisp and sharp, good colors. Should have been a great game, but.......... I have to say it's just o.k., I suggest you do the trial first before buying. I don't even know if I recommend this game or not, leaning toward "not". There is good and not good, I am uninstalling it. October 18, 2013
Don't waste your money This game was NO challenge... even on "insane mode"... and I usually play casual and usually end up skipping puzzles. But NONE of the game took any toll on my brain cells..... map not needed, either. Only a couple of things to do in each scene. I liked the option of the Match 3 because I'm so tired of slightly interactive list HOs. This game is a MAJOR disappointment put out by one of my favorite developers! Only good thing.......... I got it for free using a punch card code. October 1, 2013
no thanks Way to easy, even in INSANE mode. Plus the game short. Not even one afternoon of play time. 2013 October 30, 2013
Glad it was a free game Its hard to like a game where every item you find is used in the scene youre currently in, or at best the very next one. The puzzles were insanely simple and in some scenes - which were quite detailed - there was one task to complete. What was the point? It felt like a monumental waste of effort on the artists behalf. In fact, the game itself felt like a monumental waste of effort on my part. On the plus side: graphics were nice & very colourful. October 27, 2013
Excruciating for the accomplished gamer, fun for the amateur. I?ve read some of the 4/5 star reviews and I just don?t see it. It is a simple game for simple players without any degree of challenge either in the HOPs, the mini-games, or even the scene travel. A majority of the activity is just picking up objects to be used within a scene or two. While there are a lot of scenes, there are only 1-2 actions per scene and they are generally simple and straightforward; no real challenge. To me, the game was ho-hum and uninspiring either in play or in story line. I played to the end because I have never stopped a game without finishing it but it was with a sense of agony just wanting to get it over with. If you like a game that is just a simple walk thru, then this game is for you. If, on the other hand, you like a challenge when you play a game, this one will really disappoint you. I?ve never not recommended a game and I?m not starting now but as in the old saying ? buyer beware. I just wish they had a 'neutral' on recommendation as that is what I would rate this one.
