Jewel Legends: Magical Kingdom
Absolute Gem of a Match 3!
We have here a superb Match 3, with some very nice innovations! Graphics, sound effects, music and gameplay are all top notch.
There are three modes of play: Adventure, Tournament and Freeplay. In the demo hour, I played the Adventure and was very impressed. In this mode which has 140 levels, you can choose Timed or Zen. Since I like a challenge, I chose Timed. On one of the levels, I ran out of time, and to my surprise, up popped a button asking me if I wanted more time before I restarted the level. This I have not struck before in a Match 3, and is a very welcome innovation. Those of you who are put off by Timed-only games will welcome this facet very much! ...and it was generous - it game me 5 more minutes. During gameplay, you have to remove all underlying maroon tiles by making matches on top of them. At this point, a 'brick' appears on the board, and with further matching, you have to drop this off the bottom of the board. At this point the level is won.
These bricks are ultimately used for repairing damaged buildings in the village which you will be restoring.
During gameplay, power ups are gained by matching 'coins' and there is a good variety of power-ups available.
Gold Stars are also gained, and these are gotten in a different way than normal. Instead of getting more stars for speed of play as such, you get them by the number of jewels you match, one star for each of three chosen coloured jewels.
This appears to be another innovation and is a pleasing change.
All in all, going by what I experienced in the demo hour, I have to say this is one of the best Match 3 games available, and fans of this genre will be very satisfied with this one indeed.

Another "jewel" in Jewel Legends
I have Jewel Legends: Tree of Life and this one is just as good or better. The graphics are breathtakingly beautiful and the gameplay is very good. The game becomes more difficult as you reach higher levels. If you like a good match 3 with plenty of eye candy, this one is for you. Try it, you might just love it.

Save The Kingdom Match 3 At A Time!
I did like the HD quality of the jewels, however as the levels progressed and new jewels were added, I found some of the jewels hard to match because they looked too much alike. If you fill up the meters of certain jewels your bonuses increase. You can play timed or zen mode, freeplay, adventure and relaxing modes. After you match 3 onto all the pink squares a brick will appear and once you bring the brick to the bottom by matching under it, you can use that brick or bricks to rebuild the city. Mini games have to be played for the blueprints and if you upgrade the buildings you also upgrade the bonuses. If you make large matches you receive potions within the game that knock out portions of tiles when used. Enjoy!

Cute Not so Challenging Game
This was a cool "match 3" game
Has140 levels, I got to level 10 before trial ended
Has an 'Adventure' and 'tournament' modes. I played the adventure mode for the trial.
Can play in timed or Zen mode. I played the timed mode.
Story goes: Village destroyed by evil and you must collect these 'gems' and rebuild the village.
The object of the game is to match items (look a lot like gems and rocks). Get 4 in a row you get a potion that is a bomb., get 5 or more in a row you get a potion that turns the surrounding area into coins, which is good.
When you clear the colored tiles of these 'gems' you get a brick that you must bring all the way down to the bottom, this brick helps to build your buildings. After you build your building, you must then collect more bricks to 'upgrade' your building. When that is done you get new buildings to build and upgrade.
As to the coins: everytime you builda building you will also get an item that helps you collect 'gems'. I only obtained 2 items in the demo. First was a hammer that destroyed 1 tile, the upgrade lets you destroy several tiles in a surrounding area. The second item was an hourglass which allowed you more time for destroying the tiles ( which I needed several times). The bad part was everytime you used an item it deducted a certain amount from your coins. You would get the free item (because you built the building) but using it cost you. I don`t know what the other items are as trial ran out.
You also get coins along with the 'gems' and you collect as many of them as you can as you need these to pay for using your 'free items'.
You also have 3 items on the side that you must collect enough of to obtain stars, which at the end of each level gives you "coins'., such as you must collect a certain amount of red, blue or green objects in one level and completely different ones in the next level. I didn`t always collect them all, but didn`t have to die either.
I don`t know if time runs out if you have to replay the level or game over or what, as I just barely made it on some of the levels.
The music wasn`t that bad, I had it on low but was a nice background sound, clicking on the tiles also gave a thumping sound and when you destroyed the tiles with the potions, sound not too bad. When bricks appeared made a cool noise like placing bricks on top of each other.
Over all a nice relaxing(?) game. Really cool for kids and adults who are tired of the HOPAs games. I am off to purchase this as soon as I`ve finished the review.

Another Jewel in the Crown
As Far as M3 games goes this one is a great time killer. I love being able to add extra time increments if I so choose.I would have given it 5 stars if it had more bling but its a well made match 3

Collect the Jewels
A cute game with good graphics. I love match 3 and didn't get bored while playing this game due to the rebuilding of the magical kingdom. Power ups, gold bricks (one per screen) and the upgrades on what you purchase was all in good fun. Didn't get bored, music was good and the hour I played went fast.

challenging match 3
As the game progresses it becomes more challenging.

hard to get power ups
The game is cute, music is pleasant and the graphics are crisp. You get to build up a magical kingdom by playing match 3 in timed or relaxed mode. But it takes a long time to get enough points for the power ups, such as hammer or added time and by the time I got them, the actual playtime was over. you can replay the level with added 5 minutes.I know that games like this should take a while but if I can not get to the hammer etc in time then what is it good for? Also it takes a good amount of coins to build up things in the kingdom itself and each building has at least two levels. After a while of playing I got bored. But the rest, story, music is excellent and if you have enough time or patience then I recommend this game.

Let down after Atlantis
Jewel Legends, Atlantis really had charm, was very entertaining and fun to play and ranks in my upper echeolon of Match3 games. This one is a let-down after Atlantis. The music is non existant, the levels are right away too hard and complex and it lacks charm. Even the voice is not fitting the scenery.
Also, the green potion bomb that isn't a bomb but fills the field up with coins is silly, when all one needs and wants is a generic bomb blast as in other Match3.
Then it also looks too short with little to build in the first levels already. I wonder how many levels there are in total, doesn't seem like that many.
Sad, I was excited when I saw this title pop up, but feel short-changed after the demo. For me this might rate a daily deal one day, but that's it.
