A game that requires logic This is not an easy game but in a good way! The object of the game is to get the trains into their sheds. But along the way you have to stop cars, other trains, and change directions of the tracks. If you get really stuck they have the solution nearby. October 25, 2013
I love this game ! I like puzzle games. This one is fun and very addictive! October 25, 2013
There's more to games than graphics Some have complained about the look of this game. Being a person who is really tired of beautiful but incredibly boring HOGs, I was happy to see an interesting, challenging puzzle game. Yes, the theme is train-switching, which some consider childish. I really appreciate puzzles, however, and once you get past the first couple of levels, this has a lot going for it. 1) Simple goal - get each train to its matching "station" 2) Do so in as few moves as possible (each use of a switch or signal is considered a move). 3) Don't let the trains crash. This is a lot harder than it sounds, since trains will stop at banks, or sometimes block the track when they are in the station. There's a lot of pre-planning involved in most of the levels. 4) Simple controls - click on a switch or signal 5) Speed controls - you can slow the trains down considerably and makes for a much easier game. 6) Later levels get hard very quickly - lots of strategy is needed to plan out exactly how to accomplish your goals. This is definitely a "try first" game. However, for those who love puzzles I highly recommend it. It requires thought, strategy, and analysis, which is sadly not the case for most games out there these days. November 3, 2013
Outstanding Puzzle Game!!! This is a very good puzzle game. Many of the boards have very clever designs. I can't tell you how many times I laughed when unexpectedly crashing my trains (sorry virtual people). I thought the controls were very responsive; lower the game speed if your having trouble. I also thought the graphics were quite good. Be sure to set the graphics to fantastic mode and the screen resolution to the highest setting your computer can handle and still fill the screen completely. Experiment with the settings to get the best results. Overall I have thoroughly enjoyed playing this game. November 30, 2013
The Trouble iz I Like Crashing The Trainz Better! This is one of those strategy games that will have you playing for hours at at time. It is a very simple game but surprisingly very face paced. The goal is to have the trains end up in their color matching station by changing the directional arrows on the tracks, keep in mind that you want to accomplish this goal with as few taps or changes as possible. You must blow up rocks on the tracks by choosing which piles to blow up on which paths with a limited number or dynamite. You may need to pause one train with a stop signal to avoid crashes and, the trains will automatically stop at the correctly colored banks to load up on gold and you must wait until all the money has been loaded before restarting the train. I must admit I crashed several trainz (and it was cool!) you do get time to study the path before starting but because you have to react quickly and guide several trains, you are probably going to crash a few yourself. You can replay the level or skip the level or just watch em crash, it's up to you now, enjoy! October 25, 2013
Fun on the tracks In this game you guide your trains to their destination without crashing into each other or other obstacles. Not as easy as it sounds. Of course the first few levels are easy but as you progress there are more challenges and more trains to guide. Not only is the game entertaining but it allows you to choose your level of challenge. There are slider buttons on each level in which you can control the speed of the trains as well as a solution option if you just can't figure it out. I loved that. A nice game for when you just want something different for a change. October 25, 2013
Fun but hard! I would like to see it with choices for easy, medium, and hard playing. It lets you change the speed of the trains to slower or faster which helps but you have to make very fast choices as soon as you click on the screen so it is something else to have to quickly click to change after you start a level. I would like more space to see the trains run. Literally no room for error. Stressing me out to play. Kept laughing as trains kept crashing as I would forget to change something every time even in the tutorials. Would buy if remade with more train running space and time to make choices. Also would be awesome with old steam trains and their sounds. October 26, 2013
A puzzle game which requires fast movements This is a puzzle game with penalties for not being quick enough. Unfortunately you have to hit exactly the right spot within an area to stop a train or it will not stop. While you are clicking 5 times to accomplish what one click should have done, another train will crash. Boo. Forget this one. October 27, 2013
This sleeper is not a keeper This game at first glance possibly looks like a childs game, but looks in this case are very deceiving, while the graphics are chunky and well laid out, the game is not as easy as first perhaps thought. There is tutorials for the first 20 or so levels which will show you different aspects of the game, the problem is even on these levels they are not always that easy. The problems lay in that you had to be 'pitch perfect' in mouse/finger control, otherwise you would experience a train crash, you had to make sure all points were at the right place otherwise another crash would be caused, thus these problems may occur simultaneously and to also compound that you have several trains to keep an eye on, it got too busy too quickly for me. I would recommend the game maybe as a free download for an hour, though even then I only played around 40 minutes, but I can't really recommend it for purchase. October 25, 2013
awful The aim of the game is to switch points so trains get to their correct stations. I only played the demo for 5 minutes before I found it tedious. ok for die hard puzzlers but not for me October 25, 2013
