WHAT A COOL WAY OF TELLING A FAIRY TALE TWIST I really like this game. Besides Jack, he now has a hero (you). And there's a twist in how the story unfolds. The graphics are brilliant, the scenes/locations fantastic, and the qualify is first rate. You are constantly in a HO mode - you click on things and find that outlines of objects appear in your inventory tray for you to find. When you complete the objects for your tray, you get a complete "kit" to use for something, such as to heal, to fertilize, et al. It was a bit confusing at first, but I quickly got the hang of it. In addition, you have regular HOS with easily identified objects - i.e., no tiny objects, stuff hidden in dark places or just a corner of an object sticking out behind something. They are a relief to play. Puzzles are easy enough for novices, but are very innovative. They are a lot of fun and I hope to see more like that. They seem to have a purpose rather than the developers saying "okay, it's time to stick in a puzzle of some sort - how about here and how about this type." It's nice that they took care to tie them into the game. I like that you can customize the settings to determine the time for the hint and skip buttons to recharge, as well as how long the glint lasts. Voice overs are well done. Upon reflection, the narrator sounds like how an adult would read a tale to a child. A winner. November 17, 2013
I'm in love...:) This game does not get five stars because it is challenging or has a very interesting storyline (at least in my opinion). No, for me it is mainly the graphics. I have never seen such a beautifully designed world! The colors, the characters, absolutely everything is great to look at. Especially the moon kingdom is a feast for your eyes. Another thing I really liked is the fact that this game is quite simple. A great way to relax after a long and busy day. A great game I don't regret buying! November 23, 2013
EXCELLENT GAME This game has really beautiful graphics and contrasting environments. I have been a bit bored with the Hidden Object/ Adventure game genre in recent months, as they have all seemed to be the same old thing, and have been on the lookout for something a bit different and more interesting. This game fits the bill!!! It has everything - an inventory that is a bit different in terms of how items are collected, a different way of proceeding from one location to the other, ie. not always having to find a key to the door, and plenty of interesting characters. I recommend you try this game. November 23, 2013
Fun Easy Game! Graphics are nice and the storyline interesting. Easy to follow and relaxing game to wile away an afternoon on. Seven chapters, has HOS as well as items to find during the game. Bought the game after playing the demo. Has a map to jump from one scene to another. November 17, 2013
Great original game play Thye previous game was a nice adventure/HOS game, quite good for its kind. But this one strikes in a whole different direction. It is both HOS ad FROG, more FROG than HOS. There are some HOS scenes (never revisited) but the bulk of it is FROGs, whith items which show at the bottom bar for easy recognition. Now, you cannot pick up any item, until you are told you need it for a current task, and you cannot start a task until you click on it. Sometimes you have to finish a tast to get a missing element to complete another tast. Also you can tell if the item is in the room or not by seeing if its clear or muted. Clear means "in this room, even if hidden" and muted "look somewhere else" The visuals are gorgeous, as we expect fromt his developer. And the storyline is seviceable enough. This original gameplay is great!!! December 30, 2013
Wonderful and Entertaining Enjoyed everything about it. Good story. Lovely and colorful graphics. The music was well suited. It has good voiceovers, Seemed like a good length game. Easy to follow, but a good map if needed. Really enjoyed this! December 29, 2013
just as the name says....the beanstalk...a take on the fairy tale i played casual, very low sound or no sound. lots of ways to customize hint and skip recharges and that is nice. map (i think it is interactive, i didn't use). diary. you are trying to rescue jack who took a potion that made him small and at the mercy of the mean giant. set up for a sequel. Fun Game Really liked the story line, I love anything that has to do with fairy tales. Usually I dont like to have to go back and forth to find hidden things but this actually made it kinda fun. Really like the scenes, vibrent. Experts mayfind it alitle easy but at the same time begginers are not gonna to be totally stumped either. November 17, 2013
