Holiday Jigsaw Christmas
I happen to be a jigsaw puzzle freak. I have puzzles hanging all over the place because it seems a shame to throw them away after I'm done. So naturally this is a perfect solution, online puzzles, no gluing, no trees harmed and if you really want to hang em all ya have to do is print them! You can choose the color of background to work on and there is music available but I just play my own from the computer. You can choose to ghost the image you are working on in the background or show the image in the left top corner with 1-3x zoom. There are 4 boxes of Holiday scenes to choose from in an assortment of sizes, however you can choose any picture and simply modify the shape of the pieces and how many pieces you want. Other settings include a hint button, achievements, a magnifying glass and you can auto sort, show border only or put some pieces back into the box to make room. Happy Holidays to all and enjoy!

Another Happy Holiday Jigsaw!
BASED ON ONE HOUR DEMO
The new series Holiday Jigsaw began with Halloween and is followed up by another using the same formula. And again, it seems a good game of its type.
There are 4 boxes with roughly 36 photos each, totalling over 100. There?s all sorts of stuff in them and no individual theme to the boxes that I could see. The photos are not particularly good, some seem quite amateurish, but most seem in theme. Some don?t though, and it?s hard to see why they are here. I am concerned that I recognise at least one of these un-Christmas-like photos from previous jigsaw games. This developer publishes a lot of jigsaw games, but I hope they?re not stooping so low as to recycle the photos.
Other than that misgiving the game seems pretty standard for the better sort of these games, you can edit the puzzles by number of pieces (from about 12 up to about 300) or degree of irregularity of the cuts. Some of the games have pieces that must be rotated, others not.
You can choose to have the image pinned to one corner and magnified or not, or you can have a ?ghost? . You can also have them sorted or the edges separated. There is also a box for putting away some pieces manually, and you can have the pieces stick to the desktop. You also have a magnifier. There is a choice of background colour.
The interface is clean and professional, and the music is serene. Would have been nice if it could have sounded more seasonal.
You can get scores based on speed and you can also get trophies for the usual achievements, numbers of pieces placed, times etc.
If you?re looking for a Christmas themed game to give you hours of entertainment, I think this one will suit you.

Not for Jigsaw game lovers
If you've played and enjoyed other jigsaw games from BF, like Jigsaws Galore or Jigs@w Puzzle, you'll just be disheartened by this one. The only plus is that the pictures are holiday themed.
There's only one piece style - classic - and while there is an option for skewing the shapes a bit, even at the highest setting the pieces are still pretty uniform. There's no option for using square or round or "pointy" pieces.
There's only 4 options for background colors on the solving board.
There is only one storage "box" for putting pieces aside while you work, and I can't move it from the top left corner, and there's no option to create another one. So, if the pieces you wanted to set aside for now are in the top left area? You have to move them to the right so they are not covered by the storage box/tray/whatever it's called.
I did not see any options for importing our own pictures, but you might have to earn a trophy or something for that, and I didn't play this game for very long before I had to put it down.
Gameplay is standard, move with left mouse, rotate with right mouse, and there's a quite intrusive "bling!" when you fit a piece into the puzzle. Personally I prefer a subtle "click" just to let you know it's right. I don't need to celebrate every match.
If you really want a great jigsaw game with holiday themes, grab some cool holiday photos from your own camera or from the internet and use them as imports in one of the better games like the ones I mentioned above!

Ok but can't save
I bought this after the one hour demo...enjoyed the holiday theme , however, unless you have an hour or more of uninterrupted time..not a very good buy...you can't save the puzzle and continue later...this makes it difficult for the harder puzzles. There must be better puzzle games out there...I would only buy if it were the $2.99 price

Are you kidding me?
The very first puzzle I pulled up and asked for the borders, there was a piece missing!! I stopped then and there and uninstalled the trial version.
