Solitaire & Hidden Objects: Beginners Intrigue As the title implies, this might be an intriguing game for beginners new to both solitare and hidden object games. For others, you might want to skip this game. MY LIKES -- The objective of the game is to find all 52 magic cards, hidden in either the game play of solitaire, hidden object scenes, mini-games, or mahjong game play. The idea of mixing these different game plays it great. However, a common theme of my review is that everything was very easy and very short. Thus, my recommendation that this game be for beginners. Once the cards loaded, playing solitaire moves quickly. FEATURES OF THE GAME -- Hints are a plenty, mini-games, hidden object scenes and mahhong play. As you progress through the game, you "earn" tools to clean the cards -- i.e., a brush, a spray can, a key. After finding all the calls, "free play" is unlocked. There is not skip option. LENGTH OF GAME -- The actual game is pretty short -- I found 45 cards in 50 minutes. Only seven more cards to go before the end of the game. However, there is "free play," after you have completed the main game. GRAPHICS -- Good SOUND -- Turned off MY DON'T LIKE SO MUCH -- Everything was so short. Hidden objects usually 8-10 items: Solitaire play, once you found the magic cards, the level ends. Mini-games, not much to them -- put a card together. OK, you get tools to clean the cards, but after a while, this became boring -- I want to play solitaire, not stop every few cards to clean them off. REPLAY VALUE -- Little to none. Once you've played "Solitaire Kingdom Quest," -- which I've played over and over again, you become a little spoiled. RECOMMENDATIONS -- Beginners and young players. April 3, 2012
Really?? A 1-1/2 Hr Game?? Like other gamers that have already rated this game, I had a hard time. The game itself is really good - while it lasts! And it only lasted a half hour after the one hour demo!! Luckily, I did get it as a "special" end-of-year deal but just WOW! I don't think I've come across a game this short before! The game is fun, the story is good and well-researched, but the different tasks for clearing the bewitched cards, the dusty cards and the moldy cards one at a time - and multiple times in one hand gets beyond tedious! However, I was OK with that aspect of the game as the story WAS interesting and the game WAS fun...while it lasted - and it DIDN'T last!! I was surprised it made it onto the top 60 games of 2012. I should have waited for it to be a DD!! December 31, 2012
Waste of a credit I was very disappointed in this game. I played through the free trial and liked it. So I decided to use one of my game credits to purchase the game. unfortunately the game play is so fast I realized after I "purchased" it that I only had two or three levels left. It took me a total of about an hour and a half to finish the entire game (one hour trial + half hour after I purchased it). Not worth spending the credit for only a couple of additional levels. Too Short Played the demo - used a coupon and got another 10 minutes or so to play. very disappointed. A waste of money! April 6, 2012
Potential to be a great game Has the potential to be a great game played the trial game then the free play and that was it, it was all over finished? So short finished within having a coffee, then wanted me to buy it to continue. I expected a bit more free to play? September 25, 2014
Just Okay Basing my review on the demo which I only partially played, I liked the mahjong and hidden objects, they helped to keep the game more interesting. Finding the missing cards was easy enough, don't feel the meaning of them really mattered or added to the story line. I began getting bored early on and really did not like all the cleaning and spraying to expose the blocked cards. It was quite annoying. I didn't feel compelled enough to even use the entire hour demo. Compared to Seven Seas, Faery Solitaire and Solitaire Mystery Four Seasons, this game fell short for me quickly. But other solitaire fans may very well enjoy the game. August 12, 2014
Solitaire (sort of) meets HOG A magical deck of cards is missing from the Museum of Antiquities. One flew in your window and, after reading a newspaper article about the deck's power, you decide to go off on a hunting spree. You begin by playing regular solitaire (one card higher or lower than the card facing up). You then switch over to match the cards (i.e., 9 + 9). Then, the game switches back and forth without letting you know. The hand ends NOT when the cards have all been used but when the "magical" cards have been uncovered. There are no bonuses, per se, but you do get a duster (with which to uncover the dust from just about every other card), a spray bottle to uncover mold from just about every other card, and finally a key, with which to unlock cards while still dusting and spraying. A LOT of dusting and spraying. There are no "undos", no "wild" cards, no real bonuses and no points. If the game is over when the 52 card deck is found it will be a rather short game as you start finding them in 1s, then 2s, then 3s. I found quite a few before the demo ended. If not for the lack of bonuses, wild cards, or anything to make this game interesting, it would definitely be on my wish list. But, the game lacked character and fun. I do encourage everyone to try the free demo. It's only an hour of your time. Who knows? You find something magical about it. Happy Gaming! July 7, 2014
solitaire mystery stolen power I found it a little repetitive, a great game for beginners June 16, 2012
Solitaire Mystery?? I was expecting much more of this game based on other solitaire games offered here. I thought it started ok, but was over and done with quite quickly and abruptly, with really no definite ending to the story. Lots of things left out...who was the bad guy, where does the card go, things like those little details that make a great game great. While somewhat fun, I felt this game really fell short of what it COULD have been. May 24, 2012
Solitaire Mystery: Stolen Power Major problem for me--I got tired of housekeeping before I could play cards. The dusting and spraying drove me crazy. The dust and mold looked creepy. April 7, 2012
