Mythic Wonders: The Philosopher's Stone Collector's Edition
Average HOG to me
Lovely artwork, but an average hidden object game in general. There was nothing new or quirky about this game. I had to take points off for no reset button on the puzzles and there were a few screens that took forever to load on my computer, like the earth throne room, which sat in black screen for at least a half minute before loading up. I don't like voiceovers because I live in a house full of people, so I was happy I could turn them off. It was average - not bad at all, but not "wow". I recommend it, but I'm probably going to pass and maybe get it on a credit if no other games shine better this month.

I'm a fan of hidden object games, but this one was really underwhelming. The puzzles were all very bland ones I've seen 100 times and the voice acting is some of the worst I've ever heard. Seriously, the lead woman in this game sounds like she could not care less, which is a shame because other than that the visuals were nice.
The real kicker for me is how pointless the whole thing felt at the end. Basically the whole story is you put together this thing for no reason just to give it back to some guy and go home. This character literally could have sat at home and done nothing and it wouldn't have made a difference. Not a terrible game, just really lacking in anything engaging.

Couldn't finish trial... one "WONDERS" how it got so many 5 stars!
Mythic Wonders: The Philosophers Stone was one of a very few games I've played that I became SO bored that the free Demo wasn't even appealing enough to finish completely, and I do believe I continued on long enough to give it more than a fair chance.
On the 'plus' side, there is some good female voice acting (at least appropriate to the storyline and game overall, relatively speaking), some scenes contained nice visual affects and the cut scenes were okay, yet the game in it's entirety did not hold together at all.
The scenes were a cluttered mess, there was waaaay too much handholding and the storyline was incredulous, forced, and so, WAY over done. The 'bad guy' character voice and as illustrated was cheesy and silly and, has been done time and again; therefore, there was no real suspense, I just thought it was like a bad cartoon on a Saturday morning.
This is a good game for the tweens or beginners... I just could not get into it at all... pass!

So many Bugs!
It was hard to enjoy this game. It kept crashing.

NOT 5 Star or Game of the Year Material
Based on Demo: With all of the exalted ratings I wonder if I am swimming in a different pond or am I getting too many bubbles in my eyes so that I can't see the great potential of these games?? Just another, ho-hum, tedious, boring, rehashed, etc. game about people going through portals into the netherworlds. I, for one, am tired of chasing relatives/friends around alien worlds with nasty people trying to do me & them harm. Too much, already, of crystals, runes, magic jewels & evil people/animals etc. Come on devs & put on new thinking caps. There must be some new ideas out there somewhere. Not a buy for me but try the demo out for yourself.

Couldn't even finish trial period
After having played some amazing games lately (Nevertales, Mystery Case Files, Christmas Stories), this was an amazing let down. I don't like giving low reviews because I think of all the hours developers spend to put these games together, but honestly, this was not a pleasant way to spend time at all. I didn't even finish the trial because I was not enjoying the game. Definitely not a game I would purchase even as a SE.
