Zombie Jewel 3.5 5 8 8
A Match 3 Game With BWAINS Excellent story, unique bonuses, bright vivid colors, but the game itself is easy. You must help Dan find his girlfriend in the city and back home during a zombie apocalypse. If you make a match of 5 or more gems you get a bomb on the board and you need to click to activate. The goal is to clear all yellow tiles on the board. The bonuses are actually mercenaries and heros etc. such as Johnny Delgardo who removes all tiles of one type from the board, or Sherry Hill who throws bombs with no aim. The catch is that in order to use these guys you have to pay a whopping sum of your cash just to unlock them and then you have to pay to use them each time, which I thought was kind of cool. Some of the tiles are blocked by different things such as skeleton stones which can be unblocked by making matches over or next to the stones or by using a bomb. I had a lot of fun playing the demo and am looking forward to seeing how things progress, enjoy! April 21, 2014
Zombie Fun I love this game, it has bright bold colors and "cartoony" graphics. It's your job to destroy zombies by making matches and hiring helpers that aid you in different ways; throwing bombs, shuffles tiles, and 2 others. There are several shapes you have to collect a certain number of to clear the board. If you match 5 or more you get a bomb. If you want, you can replay levels,or even go clear back to the first level to make more money. There are several hiding places in the first level you must look at to find your map, pretty easy to find. It is a very simple, but fun game, I will replay for sure. I don't find the game scary at all, kind of like the Halloween games we get every year from Big Fish, a lot of fun if you like those you will like this game! Cute "scary" music too. :) April 21, 2014
Zany Zombie Match 3! The Match 3's have been coming thick and fast, and here is another one to join the ranks. In this one, you are in a race to save the town from invading zombie's. The story is amusingly told (no voice over, just text). You are assisted along the way with power-up 'friends', each of whom require differing amounts of cash in order that they can be used. The game is not timed as such, but the faster you complete a board, the more cash you earn. As well as having to turn all gold tiles to grey, you also have to match a predetermined number of one or more tiles to complete the level. There are the usual bombs if you match 5, and other obstacles on the board which need to be destroyed by matching beside them. Cartoon-style graphics, which are very clear and colourful, and game play is fast and very responsive. Tiles are of the 'gem' type and can be matched whilst other are falling. Background music is 'orchestral', on a loop, and I would describe it as being similar to what you would expect to hear accompanying a mystery or thriller-type movie. In the trial hour, I found the game rather easy going, and did not have to use the 'friend' power ups at all. As it progresses, I would hope the play will get more difficult. This is really a light-hearted match 3, which would appeal to most age groups, especially if you are looking for a game with an element of zany amusement! April 21, 2014
Easy game I ended up buying this game just to fill in time and to relax. It's a no brainer. Many of the boards can be cleared in less than a minute, and about 98% could be cleared in less than 2 minutes. I seldom used the character powerups unless I wanted to clear the whole board for getting lots of one symbol. Not a real challenge and repetitive but it's a good game just for a few minutes of relaxation. Music, which is frenetic, gets a bit tiresome. I ended up turning it off. Some of the newer games have a board that can be rotated 90 degrees. That would have added interest to this game. Cartoon characters are cute; reminds me somewhat of manga. April 22, 2014
uuh it was a nice game, easy to see, but after that uh, nothing. played for bout a half hour April 21, 2014
Good for Kids - Easy Game Very easy match 3. Not challenging enough for me. Played trial version & completed levels quickly & without using single power up. Storyline & characters written with humor & the bright color graphics were refreshing from so many dark games. But won't buy. Just not enough challenge or variety within the game. June 2, 2014
Mediocre Game! It was supposed to be a quiet night in the city, but somehow Dan has found himself lost slap bang in the middle of a Zombie apocalypse. Now he must rescue his girlfriend Zoe and make it home alive with the help of some kindly residents who?ve seen their fair share of Zombie Apocalypses! You?ll need quick wits and a keen eye in this fun-packed match-3 adventure crammed with 100 challenging levels! With the help of your newfound friends, a bunch of cash and loads of crazy power-ups, success is within reach?but so are you, and these zombies are grabby! Consider yourself warned! Being a fan of the M3 game I immediately downloaded today?s game to play the demo and after 30 minutes of game play, I decided to just call it a day. Our story is about helping Dan rescue his fianc and make it home alive during a Zombie Apocalypse. At first I didn?t mind so much the Cartoonish graphics, no voice-overs and lack of special effects in the game, but after about 20 minutes, game play got tedious and I realized that there really wasn?t anything special about Zombie Jewel. You have levels to play, power-up to purchase and that really is about it. There are no trophies or achievements to earn, each level has a timer on it but it just tells you how long a board took to clear. Graphics were sharp and icons and tiles were medium sized and easy to play. I assume the boards get more challenging as you move on but really, I didn?t stick around to find out. There are cute characters that act as power-ups but no great sound or visual effects. April 21, 2014
