A HOG on the barbee - A guy's review
With 76 levels of pure HO scenes with a few mini-games in between each one, this should promise to eat up some of your free time. As a fun little extra you get to learn a bit about different places within Sidney, Australia. This is a game that is suitable to play in-between more story driven games, when on the phone or while waiting for something. Playing through this in one sitting might leave you rather bored, unless of course you are a pure HOG lover.
As a pure HOG it is quite good, but seeing it came out in 2008 (this being 2012) you can clearly see the graphics being quite pixelated, especially on the bigger screens. The scenes them selves too seem a bit grainy and unclear, but nothing that makes it unplayable.
The music is typically what you'd expect to find in this type of game, upbeat and lighthearted. I think I would go mad if I was to play it on high, so luckily you can adjust it to your own liking, or all the way off.
You can play with a time limit, or in relaxed mode, whatever floats your boat. I played it in timed mode, and it is really quite easy with heaps of time to find the objects, and an assortment of help tokens to use. Of course time will get shorter as you progress through the game.
You do return to the same scenes, and usually have to find some objects you already found before. This I don't care much for. It somehow seems a bit lazy from the developer, but I guess it opens up for unlimited play.
All in all an ok game if you are into pure hidden objects games, and want something to sit and relax with. Must be very suitable for PAD's and laptops on travels and such, where you can start and finish abruptly.
Recommended for HOG lovers, not so much for adventurers.

My favorite kind of HO game!
I like this kind of HO game as much as, if not more, than the Pop Top games, my other all time favorite! Don't have to move between screens, figure out obscure uses of inventory objects, and easy but fun mini-games, best of all, one after each and every HO screen! Just really fun mindless game! Have played others with this format, and would buy every one!

Another Amazing Game in the BCA Series
My mum and I discovered this game while on holidays and I was hooked! It's a great game
Good Parts
A virtual tour of Sydney (we decided to book a holiday there after playing this)
Lots of levels
Very Addictive. I've played it through 3 times
The Skip button for those annoying minigames
A break from all the crime solving HOG
OK Parts:
As usual. the minigames. Some were awesome yet some were annoying
Bad Parts:
The opening scene. Why can't they get rid of these things!?
The stereotypical Aussie accents. WE DO NOT SOUND LIKE THAT! *sigh*
Apart from these minor annoyances, this is a very good game and I guarantee it's worth the money

Fun Game
I buy all the Big City Adventure Games. Although San Francisco is my favorite, all of them are good. I like that it tells you a little bit about the area.

Big City Adventure: Sydney, Australia
This was one of the first games I bought. It was a fun game for myself, wife and mother-inlaw. I then got more involved with the games that are more challenging and have a better story line. good game for a relaxing game.

TRULY ENJOYABLE
This was a lot of fun. Graphics were superb. Puzzles were GREAT. My ONLY complaint was that I was expecting more of Sydney pics but that was not the case. I wish the creator had more pictures/scenes of Australia... oops... okay... Sydney. Instead, I found myself in Japanese gardens which did not thrill me. It would have been nice if the creators had kept to the subject and not diverted to a different culture (even though Sydney may have Japanese gardens). I just would have loved to have seen more of Sydney pictures. That was my biggest disappointment. Other than that - this was a truly a thoroughly fun game.

A Good, Solid Game
NIce game, not hard, clear graphics, easy mini-games.
My only complaint is that it was overly long and rather repetitive.
