Hidden Object Adventures: Storage Smackdown 1.7 5 11 11
Kind of Simple This game pitches you the player against a storage wars character. On each challenge you get to pick one of two characters that represent different careers or walks of life. After choosing a character to play against, you are given a list of objects to find, including a special object. If your special object is more valuable than your challenger's special object you win that match. There is no way to control whether your object will beat your challenger's object. You are assigned the object of value to find, so winning is totally out of your control and RANDOM. I like a skill game and this is not a skill game at all. You do not compete against a timer or even the "challenger" as there is no control over the value of the objects. Also the objects are very repetitive. The "pros" would be the following. I did like how the objects, which are in a big pile, change position every time you find one of them. That does make looking for an object a bit more interesting, but not enough to buy this game. But if you are looking for a very RELAXING and UNTIMED HOG. This may be for you. August 13, 2014
Storage Smackdown Good idea but dull, dull, dull. You search for the same items over and over. No mini games, Save your money. August 14, 2014
Don't bother As noted by others, same objects each time. No skill really required, just random luck as to which objects are valuable. Same competitors time after time. I like the concept - particularly the falling of the objects, but this execution of the game just doesn't cut it. August 15, 2014
Dull and repetitive Should have known from the small file size that this wasn't going to be a very impressive game. You pick an "opponent" and search for hidden objects in your locker, but there's no sense of head-to-head action, and the scoring feels arbitrary. When you go through four opponents, the game is over and just suggests you pick different ones next time. Finished the demo in 20 minutes, deleted from computer. August 14, 2014
Repetitive I played this for about a half hour before I realized that the gameplay is repetitive; the storage locker contains pretty much the same items. Having the objects fall down as you find the items on the list is an interesting twist, especially since you can't find all the objects until some have fallen down. But playing against fictional characters made it feel like whoever won the session was chosen arbitrarily by the game. I would have liked it better if each object had a point value and perhaps timing the session so I would have to pick and choose which objects to click on. Knowing how my opponent was doing during the session might have added some challenge to the game for me. I'm passing on this one. August 14, 2014
Could Have Been Good But Stinks Not a lot of time and effort went into the development of this game. Seems behind the times. Very little to it & cheaply done. No real challenge against your chosen opponent- just random who wins & not based on skill. I like straight hidden objects but there's nothing here to challenge you. The storage locker concept could have been a great basis for a hidden object game. I like the way the items are stacked & will tumble when one is removed but that's it. Quit demo after 5 minutes. Boring and repetitive I'm sorry to say that this game just doesn't make the grade. Sometimes I like the strictly hidden object games, without the adventure, but this one is not at all engaging. We are always looking at exactly the same items, although their positions do change, and which we need to find varies. Nonetheless they are the SAME items in the SAME background. The music is boring as well. Also, the so-called competition with characters has nothing to do with how quickly you play the round. It is totally random whether your "mystery item" is more valuable than the character's. I only played about 10 mins. of the demo, but it was long enough to see that nothing changes. August 13, 2014
Endless repetition The same twenty pieces of junk to find, over & over & over & over & over again . . . and that's it. (In the hour-long demo, that is.) Never saw the character in the white suit, & didn't miss him. This was done on a shoestring budget, with even less thought. There's nothing good to say about it, unfortunately. August 14, 2014
Not worth it This game gets old after the first few matches. Not a lot of effort was put into the making of this. August 14, 2014
1 Star is too many! You search for the same items in every scene. There is no explanation of how you do better or worse than your "opponent". Boring, mind numbing, can't believe this is even offered as a game. August 13, 2014
