better than expected as noted, there is no tutorial, not hints of any kind. i grateful that you can keep playing a level after time runs out and still get a congrats and a bronze medal. only got 1 silver so far and that was on level one. i didn't realize that the building, saw mill, etc. didn't automatically produce goods and i couldn't find the trees to cut when i figured it out! that wasted a lot of time. that said, im no medal focused and love time management games of this type that have an untimed or no medal level. this game makes you think and figure stuff out on your own. if you aren't going for the gold and just want a fun game with very good graphics, characters and story line this is it. the gold is attainable, i believe, just upgrade everything at the start, don't build a second house until you have all buldings and towers and go for it! Weatherlords Rule Our little inhabitants are off on new adventures and must save their friends from a nasty volcanic disaster. I have the first two games in the series so I had to try this one. It is a little more difficult but as much fun and is entertaining. Even when you run out on time you can continue playing.I purchased it after 20 minutes of play. August 18, 2014
An enjoyable little game. There is no tutorial but you soon get to work out what to do and I admit I did gasp in horror as I allowed my 5 pumpkin's worth of warrior to die a couple of times. What I DO like about this game is there's no "Let's go!" or other repetitive remarks when you task your workers. Just a little "Eeek!" if they get caught by the gollum or a little cheer when you meet your targets. I play these games just for fun and rarely purchase them, so I don't mind too much if I have built and upgraded a sawmill and then find I should have built a forge. If you are a serious player, I would use the demo as your tutorial and then play under a new profile to play 'seriously'. Or, I believe, you can reply the levels to improve your score/achievement. Definitely worth a demo IMHO August 18, 2014
Let There Be Rain! (Sunshine too) If you like Time Management games you're in for a treat with this somewhat relaxing game. As with most TM games you must complete the tasks that are shown at the bottom of the screen within a specific amount of time to earn a gold, silver or bronze medal. You will need to harvest pumpkins for food, chop trees for wood to construct buildings, clear paths, repair bridges, and hire workers and warriors to defeat the enemy. Once you have depleted pumpkin patches or trees, you need to control the weather, yep, click and drag the rain clouds onto the area and let it rain! You can click and drag the sun as well to dry up swamps etc. There are 25 different achievements or awards to earn and there are 9 buildings to construct, such as wagons, forges, sun towers, houses, gems, sawmills, wind towers, thunder towers, and mills. There are 12 different heros you will meet, Maximus the main hero, Korhy, Inferno, Shrapnel, Jim the Ogre, Jarag Khonak, the Water warrior, the Air warrior, the Thunder warrior, the Sun warrior, the Library guard and the Oracle of the Tree of Knowledge, to keep the game interesting, enjoy! Great Game Love this game. I have the earlier games in the series and really love them, but this one is a bit more difficult (as it should be). August 18, 2014
Weather lord Love this game, especially as it took me 2-3 days to finish it and I usually finish games in a day or so. Just wish there were more games issued like this instead of numerous hidden object games August 24, 2014
Good Fun! It's good to see another Weather Lord game, but I agree with other reviewers in that the time set for each level is unrealistic. However, what I don't understand is reviewers saying there are no instructions on how to play. The instructions are there, you just have to read them as they appear on the screen. Overall, apart from the lack of time to finish any level with better than silver, this is a fun game that I bought after playing three levels. August 19, 2014
Too hard, Too quick I feel that this game starts out too difficult. I prefer to build up to the difficulty. I would rather be able to get gold in the first 5 or 6 rounds and then have it become more challenging. I didn't feet like I had anything to shoot for when (except for gold in the first round) I could not, even after several tries, get anything but bronze. I play, and love, building game so I am very disappointed that I will not be purchasing this one. August 18, 2014
Does not beat out the first Weather Lord game - it's ok I love the first Weather Lord - in fact, I revived it on my pc and played it last week again for probably the 5th time. I was so excited to see this one come out yesterday but played the demo first, learning never to assume a game is as good as you want it to be and buy it blindly. And I was right to do so. This one just didn't capture me like the first has done many times over. Game play and concepts are exactly the same as the first with only trivial minor changes. The new characters are distracting in this one and the game play seems to be slower. The story line wasn't as interesting either. Overall, it's an okay game, but if you've played and loved the first, I can't imagine how you could find this one as good. I'm not buying it since it didn't hook me in the demo, but it's a good enough game that someone else might like it to buy it. August 19, 2014
Loved game until the Crash This is a great game and I had a great time playing it--until the game keep crashing halfway through. Come to find out that almost everyone had the same issue. Waiting for developers to fix it, but there does not seem to be a hurry. I would avoid this until they get a patch out. September 5, 2014
