The Cutest Game I've Ever Enjoyed! What a whimsical and quirky Hidden Object Game based on the story of the handsome Frog Prince that requires a kiss to reform him to his former glory. The not so beautiful witch has decided to acquire a fiance, Prince Alex, one minute a dashing man the next a crowned frog! The Prince would rather remain a frog than kiss those hideous lips and the fairy tale begins. If you don't like cartoonish graphics and fairy tale endings then kiss this game goodbye because that's exactly what you get with this game! There are Frog achievements to earn and scenes that allow you to scroll left and right and even skyward. The Hidden object scenes are mostly pieces of fragments that you collect and when all are found you use those pieces to reconstruct an item. There are all kinds of puzzles, nothing new, but entertaining enough keep you happy ever after. There are crystals to move to make Roman numerals, triangle pieces that require you to slide around to complete a picture, teeth to match the uppers with the lowers and even a sword to reconstruct by switching tiles and moving the tiles up and down. Let's follow the leaping frog to the lips of destiny as he searches for the Princess, enjoy! May 1, 2014
Love this game! Shaman did an awesome game. Those poor prince as frogs are totally hilarious. They remind me of Shrek and the Princess's father. The animals and insects in the game are all cute. I couldn't blame the princes in the least for not wanting to kiss something like her. They probably were thinking they would get the warts from her and not the other way around. I love these types of games. Bought it straight away. Graphics: For a cartoon type game the graphics are awesome. This game couldn't look anymore fairytale. Mini Games: The first one was a challenge and close to a hair puller I might add. Got it though. The others I played so far was just fun and right up my alley. Totally enjoyed them. H0GS: Only ran into a couple of them so fair. And they have been fragments that became several individual items. Like putting the backs onto bugs or putting the labels together to put onto the potion bottles. Map: There isn't one cause you don't need one. You can't get lost. It's not linear persay you don't have to go to places in a certain order, but you do things in a certain order. So therefore you can't get lost. Hint System: Awesome! It works beautifully outside of H0G scenes. It's like a built in map. Music: Fits the game not intrusive in the least. This team did a fantastic job on the game and I would definitely give it ten stars. Kudos to them. :) May 7, 2014
Wow! This is not your average fairy tale. If you've ever secretly pined to fling a frog prince over the castle gate with a catapult, this is the game for you! I don't think I've ever seen an adventure game with such rich graphics, engaging gameplay and funny storyline all in one package. Although you'll be looking for things, this is very much an adventure game, albeit one where the game team had their tongues firmly in their cheeks while they were working on it. In an hour of play, there wasn't a single traditional hidden object scene, and only a couple of fragmented object scenes. Most of the items you need to find are in the regular game environment (which, by the way, involves a lot of mini-environments, where you only have to go back and forth between a few settings at a time--no dragging the game out by lots of wasted time traveling around). Many of the puzzles can be described in standard ways--unlock doors, make potions, etc, but are just so well conceived and drawn that they feel fun and fresh. The hint system is useful, featuring a traditional hint button and an eye ornament you can pull to indicate places to do things. Humour is always the hardest thing to do well, but this game really pulls it off--whatever you do, don't skip the storyline scenes, and make sure you read the wicked witch's brief but hilarious diary entries. Normally, I don't buy games in this category because they lack replay value, but I'm making an exception for this one. Two reasons: 1) in the hopes of encouraging more games of this calibre, and 2) while the adventure follows the frog prince, I'm rooting for the wicked witch to find true love by the end of the game, and I'll never know if she does unless I play it through. So Wonderfully Silly & Original! BASED ON DEMO FIRST IMPRESSIONS I have had a copy of the beta survey for this game sitting in my pc for months, and somehow there was always something more appealing to play. Oh what a fool was I! But perhaps it was for the best. Fell in love with this clever and funny little gem before I?d played more than 10 minutes. Waiting until punchcard Monday is gonna drive me nuts, imagine my agony if I?d had to wait months! SIGHTS & SOUNDS The cartoon drawing, all whacky and surreal is reminiscent of Disney, in a deliberately tongue in cheek way. And top quality as well. The opening scenes with our wicked but lovelorn witch set up the style and feel of the game exactly. Throughout, everything looks and sounds crazy. And that is its appeal. The sheer over-the-top wackiness of the game. And if that prince doesn?t shut up his whimpering... Well, I?m just saying... WHAT?S HAPPENING? An attractiveness-challenged witch decides to bring her reluctant fianc the Prince to the altar by magic. She turns him into a frog, and only a kiss from his fianc can transform him back to life as a human. On offering her lips for a kiss, however, she is shocked that the frog prince refuses! And so she encloses him in glass and locks him up till he changes his mind. You have been witnessing all this from hiding, but now the queen sees you and poof!, you are knocked out and come to in a cage. Eventually, you escape your cage, help the prince escape his, and set about getting outa here! The Prince seems to know what he?s doing, so you follow him through a portal to his true love?s castle, where he immediately gets himself in trouble again! GAMEPLAY The game would be merely one of curiosity value if all it had going for it is the unusual look and story, though. What it also has is original gameplay. The puzzles are some new and uniquely designed, others are similar to other mini-games but with a quirky twist. The HOPs are also new, a fragmented object puzzle with many objects to find and fit together, and a kind of mini-puzzle as part of it. These are new, but not at all difficult. This game also follows with the sort of action that includes the making of potions. Little quizzical differences make up the rest of the fun and imagination of this game. The journal has the story, and the story achievements, of which there are 5 or 6 shown as playing cards. There is no map, but there is an eye symbol that identifies active zones, on the easiest of 3 levels of difficulty. The inventory is above, the black bar comments below. The location is often slightly bigger than the screen, so you must make sure to look up and down, and from left to right. BLING! As well as the achievements awarded within the game, you can win achievements that are recorded in the main menu only and these are fabulous! There are 4 glass display units ? each for a different victim of the witch I assume. The first, at any rate, is the Frog Prince. You have 6 points of the story which yield a different animation of the frog. Bowing, for instance, or startlement. The really fun thing (for me, anyway, but I?m a big kid) is that you can save these little images as avatars. I am going to enjoy that. COMBINED IMPACT This game will not be for everyone (and boy, I think I?ve said that 3 times this week), but it is well worth a trial to see the funny side of gaming. Think Dark Parables meets Royal Envoy, and you?ll be heading in the right direction, but you?ve still got a way to go. *cheekiest grin yet* May 1, 2014
A game WITCH is absolutely adorable! Yay! Witch's Pranks: Frogs Fortune is certainly a pleasant, creative and uniquely designed game that is bound to please young & old, beginner & expert alike, bring a smile to the lips and a chuckle in the throat! The graphics are wonderfully animated and game play is filled with subtle, interactive humor in both storyline, puzzles & graphics.. the entire script is amazingly original. Nope, Witch's Pranks: Frogs Fortune is definitely not run of the mill and I hope is the beginning of more to come. A very talented team worked very hard to put this one together as is evident in large and small scale details. I had to stop playing to give this game 5 STARS and I can't wait to finish my little adventure rescuing the witch's charming, err... charmed captives. Happy gaming ~ have fun (rrrrribbit) : ) May 7, 2014
Just What I Needed!l This is the most adorable game I think I've ever played. It's probably geared more toward "kids" but I guess I'm one of them, and I can see I'm not the only one. What a wonderful and refreshing change to all the doom and gloom and demonology, witchcraft, etc. that we keep getting. The prince was absolutely adorable with his little noises and the captions. I can't say enough about this game. The fire salamander with the chili peppers cracks me up. it's easy most of the time, and oh so delightful. For me, it was worthy of a purchase. May 7, 2014
GORGEOUS GRAPHICS ! I LOVED IT ! Graphics were so amazing. MORE PLEASE ! Short and sweet ,yes but it's a classy gem ! AND HOPEFULLY THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING.( Maybe we could use the broomstick in the next one.) I even found myself laughing at one point. Brilliant -so clever Congratulations one and all X May 7, 2014
This is one Amazing game! I could hardly believe this game! It is just amazing. The design work that must have gone into this one! The creatures and critters are so fun to watch. This is like watching a movie. Love it--I think I will have to purchase the full game! May 7, 2014
Love it! What a cute game! The story is hilarious and the graphics are cute. All right, it's not that challenging, but it's so entertaining, and great for a relaxing break. The basic premise is that the horrible hag-like witch is sick of all the glamor girl princesses snagging the available princes, and she decides to turn them into frogs in the off chance that one will marry her if he kisses her. The beginning scene, where she attempts to get the frog to kiss her is hilarious....giant lips getting ever closer to the frog, and he in turn opting for a life of frogness, cracked me right up...also, I love the voices and the sounds that the frogs make. The mini games are cute and not too difficult...loved the revolving match game! There doesn't seem to be a map, but then I'm not sure you really need one, as you seem to go where you are sent, without very much deviation. I think the whole thing was created as a social comment and a's brilliant! You've got to try it!! May 1, 2014
