Agatha Christie - Death on the Nile
maybe 3.5 stars
what I really want to know from those who already own the game is if the work to figure out the mystery adds to the story and game. Otherwise it is only a HObj game and the rendering of the clues is blurry and sometimes unfair...in a timed venue no less! The dancers that only appear sometimes is one really unfair example. I have played the demo and since it is a bargain today, I may buy it just to find out about the answer to my original question. I liked the fishy who told us we can stop the timer by hitting ALT since that will help give time to deal with that HObj problem of bad blurry images, and yes I used an actual magnifying glass and it really helped. I will revisit the reviews to inform about the fun of figuring out the mystery and whether this adds that extra element we want to this otherwise pure HObj game

poor graphics, no character sounds
I like my games to have life. Therefore, I was disappointed playing this one. I found the graphics to be very low quality. I also did not like that the characters didn't speak, and you had to read text. Did not purchase.

HO problems sunk it for me--from a fan of Agatha Christie games
I've enjoyed playing other games in this series, so I thought I would like it in spite of some of the negative reviews. Unfortunately, having played the demo, I now agree with many of those comments.
The HO scenes (which are the main game play) are why I am not buying the game, in spite of very colorful backgrounds and a good story:
1. As others said, the HO scenes are timed, like it or not (and pressing Alt or even Control-alt did nothing).
2. You only get 5 hints total to serve for four or five different rooms.
3. Many objects are too 'clever' (cheating, in my view) in the way they are hid. White on white is only one of many examples.
4. Unbelievably, in spite of these first three points, over-clicking has a TIME penalty!
The unfair way certain objects are hidden (a butterfly so misshapen it looks like a flower, is another example) makes being able to click without a time penalty essential (for me at least). You can stare at that 'flower' and never see a butterfly there, but once you realize that some objects ARE hid unfairly, you might click the 'flower' just in case, and be right! More reason for needing to click freely is the very limited number of hints, which makes having to find 10 tiny marbles or white scraps of paper on white walls almost impossible to complete without miss-clicks. I don't mind exploding or whirling cursors, but a time penalty?
So, sadly, that's it for me. BF should sell such older games for a drastically reduced price and plainly identify them as older. That might motivate the developers to update these otherwise nice games.

Hard on the eyes
I won't say much about the story line or music or any of that as all of that was ok maybe even at times good.
But trying to find the very small objects, or unclear objects (there was an elephant that was so clearly nothing like an elephant I had to keep looking at it to see if I could possibly see an elephant in there), or items that were the same color and only delimited by faint lines, after a very short play time my eyes hurt too much to continue. I bought this game long ago and forgot I had stopped playing for that reason. This time I will finish it probably, but with many many breaks to take care of my poor eyes.

Nothing, but object searches
Unlike most hidden object games I enjoy, this had next to no storyline and the entire gameplay is hidden object searches with very little else.

Did not like it at all
I love hidden object games, but there has to be more of a story with them, this one for me didn't have one, and there's way to many hidden object scenes for me, each scene you go to there's one there, so this game is a definite NO for me
I love adventure games, and with this one, there's no adventure, I thought being based on Agatha Christie, there would be plenty of action, I was disappointed!

I've had enough of the time limits
I like the visuals, sound, and the mystery is good. But the time limit and the too few hints make this game virtually unplayable. I have found no way around the time limit, and each segment seems harder than the previous one.

Must be a really old game
timed only no option
hard to find and identify objects due to poor quality
only have 5 hints per chapter, not able to gain anymore
big disappointment compared to the other Agatha Christy games.

Awful Hidden Object game
Audio was monotonous. Objects sometimes didn't appear until the hint was used. Not enough time for the amount of hidden objects to find. Worst game I've played. If you like a timed game, this one is for you.

I played a matter of 4 min. And hated how small and blurry it was the picture quality could be better.
