Want another spooky game
Another Mystery Case Files sequal to Ravenhearst game. Return to Ravenhearst is another spooky game but little darker than Ravenhearst. Like I mentioned in Ravenhearst review this is another game that you can play over and and over again to find different hidden objects and to save three souls from Charles.
Don't forget to play Ravenhearst.

Horrible Game, Torturous Pace
I know the Ravenhearst franchise is liked by many and did well, I can't argue with that. But the problem I have with this game was the pacing. Let me explain. While ADVENTURES is my favorite genre and should be at a slower relaxed pace, this game just occurred in starts and stops. You would visit one location, then BAM get hit with a hidden object screen. Go to the next location, then BOOM another hidden object screen. And so on for most of the game. Worse, the hidden object games were very difficult and the graphics were dark and blended in, pure torture!! Most of the time the inventory held almost no objects, giving the game a linear, boxed-in feel to it. And even worse, the puzzles were almost completely illogical. I just gave BLACK ISLE a 10 out of 10, play that game instead. This one feels like it was just "thrown together" out of having to fulfill a franchise obligation.

Favorite of all MCF releases!
This release was a nice surprise; not only up to MCF standards as expected (fun, creative, unique spins, mini-games), but very elaborate and in-depth, fun, intriguing layers and unexpected interactions, graphics, and story. Brilliant.

You will spend your time waiting for HINTS to reload...
I played the demo and it was not the best. Graphics are mediocre, everything is on a greenish-grayish background, so it makes the HO scenes difficult to play - find everything you can and leave the HINT for the most difficult - because it takes 2 MINUTES for the hint to reload (poor design on a 60 minute demo). Mini-games have no help or instructional text so you spend your time trying to figure out what to do. The drab background wears after a while since everything is so drab, rundown and colored to look that way. Perhaps if the graphics were better, it would not wear as much, but you get tired of the grayish background, looking for greenish/grayish colored objects (even the carrots were not that brightly colored!).
Overall, I was not impressed at all, spend most of my 60 minutes trying to figure out what to do and waiting for the hints to reload. Definitely NOT purchasing and would recommend passing on this one.

MCF-games never disapoints me
I was a bit excited about this sequel to be honest, and allthough I don't think it's as good as 'Ravenhearst' it is certainly worth the money spent! Brew a nice cuppa and enjoy hours of chilling and exciting playing!

I just wanted to be over
I play many MCF and I like them all so far, but this one, was tedious. The story line was pretty good but some of the hidden scenes are fuzzy and hard to make out at times. I understand they want to make things challenging but its puzzle within puzzle within puzzle with very little clues. For experts it might be good not for casual players. It just didn't keep the game moving for me and I lost interest in it fast and struggle to complete the game.

Return to Ravenhearst
The puzzles are all different and quite challenging. If your screen is big then "WhackaTroll" will be nearly impossible to win.
Great graphics, the interaction with people is superb. These are 'real' people, not drawn. This storyline was well thought out. Sooo worth the money!

Much better then is predecessor
After just finishing I must say it's a huge improvement on it's predecessor "Ravenhearst"
This time we go deeper into the story because we have to solve puzzles next to the hidden objects scene to progress in the game.
The sound and visual quality is much better and much less tiresome on the eyes than "Ravenhearst" where you really had to stare to find your objects. The puzzles were challenging altough on the end there were a little to much puzzles you have to solve by trial and error (for example the Dominogame) for my taste. There were also puzzles where the answers were diffrent from the notebook. Mayby i missing something here, but i couldn't find it and had to use a walktrough which gave me the answers but still no clue why the answers are different.
Therefore just good in funfactor for me, but it would have been excellent without this.

Great adventure
Had a great time playing this game. Bought the SE and it was a long game. The graphics are erie and very artistic. Lots of HO to find and the puzzles made me think. Am a big fan of MCF and this one is now on my favorites list. Looking forward to MCF next adventure.
