Loved it! Just finished playing it and it was so great! I miss it already. That's why I'm about to download the next Carol Reed game. They are so cool - very mellow, real, and it's like you're traveling to Sweden and solving a mystery. Beautiful graphics, great story line and characters and clever clues. February 4, 2012
Chilled with a twist in the tale. The "no angst" feel of normality throughout the game was refreshing. Characters looked like anybody you may know; other than the janitor who in my opinion should have had more lines. The man was so random! The whole game was a relaxed trip to Sweden. The mystery that unraveled was totally plausible and there was a twist in the tale that was unexpected and which I found most satisfying. Grab a cup of coffee and a few Danish pastries and enjoy your weekend chilling and playing The Colour of Murder. January 12, 2013
Enjoyable but farfetched Let's be honest, as a photographer I don't really like the use of real photographs as "graphics" in a computer game, even if they have been slightly transformed with a Photoshop filter. That is why I don't really like the graphics of this game. How about the storyline? I like a good detective novel, a real whodunnit, and I can muster up a fair amount of "willing suspension of disbelief", but this really is too farfetched. You cannot expect a story to develop itself the way it does in this game. On the other hand, I must say that with the aid of the notebook, you can safely navigate through the whole story and spend some enjoyable hours... although I have to admit that at one moment, I had to consult a walkthrough in order to get "unstuck"... finding things in photographs can be very hard to do. But, if you don't mind doing some sightseeing of Norkpping and its surroundings, and if you want to get a taste of Sweden, you will like this game. It has a particular feeling and I recognize the atmosphere that I experienced when I was in Sweden or when i read a Swedish detective novel. So, all in all, it was OK and I might be inclined to try another CR mystery. July 28, 2012
